《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 064

“What’s going on here?” Elysif asked with a confused look. We could tell by everyone's faces, except Iscarat’s, that they wanted to know as well.
“Well, we figured we would relax here today. Titania got her much deserved rest so today we wanted to relax. Your friends showed up not long ago and tried to leave upon seeing that we were already here but we felt that it would be rude to not allow them to join us so that’s why they are here.” Oberon said.
“... I see. I’m guessing you want us to join you as well?” Elysif asked.
“Of course. The more the merrier.” Titania said with a truly innocent smile.
“Okay.” Elysif said before going behind the rock to get out of her clothes. Once she was done and had entered the spring I did the same. The water seemed warmer than last time but maybe it was just getting colder out. That didn’t matter though as this whole scene was far too uncomfortable to actually enjoy it. In fact, the idea of six nude people sitting in a outdoor spring with two gods that could easily kill us if they wanted was just too bizzare to me. The only thing I can think of to comfort me was; At least it’s not Zeus.
“Now that you are all here I figure we can talk for a bit. Some or all of you may have been wondering as to why we decided to do this for you. The truth is that we would like you to stop Merlin as much as you want to. Now, the reason for this is that we can exist at any point in time as long as our forest is not destroyed and we are not killed. In the year 1889 Merlin will kill us using a rare magic.” Titania said solemnly.

“What kind of rare magic?” Iscarat asked with a little too much enthusiasm.
“We will expound on that later. For now, we need you to know that is not the only future. You have experienced first hand that all things that affect Lou Barret are set in stone. However, that only applies to him. If it doesn’t affect him then it is not set in stone. Thus, there is a chance to defeat Merlin.though before you can do that you need to get stronger.” Oberon explained.
“But all I’ve done is get my ass kicked while you two showed us what a perfect couple looked like from a psychopaths point of view.” I said sarcastically.
“But you have become both faster and stronger. It also has helped to train your battle instincts and prevent fear. If it wasn’t for this then you wouldn’t stand a chance against Merlin for even a few minutes. Also, thank you for thinking we make a good couple.” Titania said whilst ignoring my blatant sarcasm and sass.
“I guess that’s true.” I replied.
“Anyways, you need to get strong enough to hold your own. If you can’t do that then you have no chance.” Oberon said.
“Alright then. I’ll do what I can to become stronger. However, I would ask that you not destroy body parts.” I said.
“I can’t promise that. However, you did piss off my wife so you got hit a lot harder than you should have.” Oberon said.
“Good to know. Don’t piss off the Queen of the Fae.” I said. As I said it Mordred mouthed to me to hurry up and get them to leave. Though what was I supposed to do, tell them to leave? Yeah, I don’t think that would work.

“So… what do you expect us to do?” Elysif asked. Thank god she asked. I wasn’t sure what to say next.
“Train, get good, work as a team. I don’t know! I wasn’t there. For now, I would suggest staying in this time period for a while and get some experience.” Oberon said.
“Well, we’re back where we began.” Compton said.
“Not technically. We now know that we have a chance.” Iscarat said with his high pitched scratchy voice.
“If we’re lucky.” Mordred said before sinking into the spring up to her neck.
“Don’t be so depressed. You’re not dead yet.” Compton said.
“Fine.” she replied like she was a moody teen.
After soaking for a while Oberon and Titania ended up leaving. Followed by Mordred and Compton who entered the pendant. Iscarat fell asleep so I wasn’t going to bother him. Plus, if he drowned it wasn’t going to stain our consciences. In fact I think that Mordred may actually feel more relieved if he kicked the bucket. Lily hopped in the pendant as she started to doze off.
Lastly, Elysif ended up nearly passing out so she went inside the pendant to go to sleep. Since I was the only one left I walked over to Iscarat and put him in the pendant before getting out and heading back to the tree bed.
