《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 071

Everyone sat waiting in anticipation of what Oberon and Reubin might say. Though, neither of them said anything for a moment which made us all a little worried. Reubin was just happily smoking his pipe and Oberon looked as if he was racking the last of his brain cells together before looking like he would rather be anywhere else. It was after all of about two minutes of us exchanging glances before one of them finally said something.
“I have no clue how any of you are going to beat him. Though you will also have to beat the two Langstons and all of the Agency to even touch him so good luck I guess.” Oberon said with an unhelpful smile.
“I say you carpet bomb them and pick off the straglers.” Reubin added.
“We are not carpet bombing my agents.” Mordred stated.
“Well, you won’t have any agents left if you let Merlin achieve his goal so I suggest you do what will allow the least amount of casualties and energy.” Reubin replied whilst blowing out a large puff of smoke.
“I don’t really care how you all do it.” Oberon said right as Titania walked into the garden.
“I brought the arrows.” she said before setting them down on the table. She then walked by Oberon and sat in the chair next to him.
“These are the arrows I shot you with. They can kill the God of Time and just about anything else. Use them wisely and preferably on Merlin and the God of Time.” Oberon said as he pushed them over to us. I grabbed the arrows and put them inside the pendent.
“Now, I suggest you eat with us and then I want you out of my forest.” Oberon said with a somewhat annoyed voice. “This whole thing has tired me out and has been an absolute pain in my ass.”

“Well, thank you for what you two have done for us. We are grateful.” Mordred said sincerely.
“You’re welcome.” Titania replied while Oberon looked as if he didn’t care. As she was saying this several leprechauns came into the garden with bowls of what looked like gazpacho and a loaf of bread and set them down in front of us. Following them were a few fairies carrying bottles of wine and glasses for them. They set them down in front of us as well and poured the wine without spilling a single drop before flying off without the bottles.
“Eat your fill and they will bring out the next course when we have finished.” Oberon said as if he was the host of a fancy dinner party. Which in this case he technically was. However, most of us were dressed casually or in a way that made us look like we hadn’t washed ourselves in weeks.
After we ate we said our goodbyes and with a snap of Oberon’s fingers we all appeared in the forest again. Mordred, Compton, and Iscarat all got inside the pendent and Lily popped out of it. She led me to the edge of the forest where I found Mordred passed out in a poorly made cloth tent and a small burnt out fire with a pot setting over it not too far from her. Both of the horses were tied to a tree in the shade and it looked like the sun was just now coming up.
“You awake?” I asked as I slapped the side of her makeshift tent.
“Where’s the attack?” she yelled as she shot up with her sword drawn and the cloth of the tent covering her face.
“It’s just me. No attack here.” I said as I shook my head.

“Oh, so how did it go?” she asked as she knocked the tent off of herself.
“Aweful.” I said as I smacked her upside the back of the head.
“What was that for?” she exclaimed with both shock and anger.
“That’s for sending me into that hellhole. I nearly died on multiple occasions and I experienced tortures that most people would never want to experience.” I said.
“Sorry, I just figured that Oberon would be a great teacher since he taught my father how to fight.” she said obviously sorry.
“Well, that may be true but I don’t think that Oberon ripped your father’s limbs from his body before putting that back on repeatedly for three weeks in magic forest time. To be honest I just don’t think that Oberon likes me.” I said.
“Yeah, I don’t think that he likes you at all.” Lily said which brought Mordred’s attention to the fact that there was a fairy on my shoulder.
“Who is that?” she asked.
“I’m Lily.” she stated proudly.
“She’s a Fae that Oberon gifted to me for passing his tests.” I said.
“Okay… that’s not something I would ever expect him to do but okay.” Mordred replied with a somewhat baffled look.
“Anyways, can we get back to Camelot? I really want to relax for a bit.” I asked.
“Of course. Just help me pack up real quick.” she replied as she began folding up the cloth tent.

NOTE: I, as an 'author' am on a(n) (indefinite?) Hiatus. Without getting into too many details, the person who convinced me to write, who was my muse and my everything, is no longer in my life. I think about writing and I get physically ill and ache in ways that transcend the physical. I want to want to write, but I cannot find the energy. Life events, combined with apparently thin-skin when it comes to personal attacks on this platform, make it impossible for me. The messages, comments, and reviews I recieve(d) were so detrimental to my mental health that I've already removed one story from this website. This one remains up only because the criticisms located in this work are about my writing, and not personal attacks.I just felt like I should put something out there for anyone who is thinking about starting this story. It is not completed. I don't know that it ever will be at this point. I have lost my muse.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Not everything in this world is natural, and it's only natural to fear the unnatural. Fortunately for Manning, he was natural. Unfortunately, he found himself to be in a very unnatural state. Manning was trapped inside of a gemstone, called a dungeon core. Luckily for Manning, he found himself capable of using his newly found unnatural power to make a nature filled forest. With the help of Cara, his unnatural roommate, and Ash, his nature spirit companion, Manning dreams of covering the continent with the most beautiful and dangerous forest it has ever seen. His only other goals are to protect himself and Cara, and if he could ever remember, recover his memories. This is my first time attempting to write anything. Updates whenever I can find the energy and desire to write.

The Better Side Of Evil
The last surviving son of House Rotwald is on the run. Chased by his enemies into the heart of a long forgotten wasteland, he is forded to traverse an unholy place of power. With the pursuers hot on his heels, can Victorian find shelter in the realm of the living dead? Or will he become just another walking corpse, doomed to wonder the land for all eternity? Everything that he believed in, everything that he held sacred – gods, kings and their laws – has already betrayed him. With nothing left to lose could the young paladin be persuaded to accept a new master? Could he bargain away his life to a dark power in exchange for vengeance? And what would he be required to do in return? The Kingdom of Leidemar is on the verge of ruin. Rival powers seek to divide it, but there is an opportunity for a new ruler to arise from within its own nobility. And even a lowly nobleman, if positioned correctly, could end up a king. Someone with the right allies, perhaps? Or maybe cruel allies would suffice? But for now the last surviving son of House Rotwald is on the run. *This story is as much about the monsters as it is about the people facing them. Some become allies while others become wet stains on the floor. I firmly believe that villains can make for some of the most endearing characters. Monsters need not be sour and droll. Have a bit of fun - indulge in a bit of villainy. Enjoy the gray morality and colorful cast of this story! *I have a Discord server now: https://discord.gg/4phDRU2 **Artwork by Shane Pierre: https://007access.deviantart.com/ ***I am not a native English speaker, so feel free to help me improve my use of the language!
