《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 076

“You don’t want to know.” I replied to Gwaine as I sat down at the table. He gave me an awkward look before pouring me a glass of what looked like beer. Though it wasn’t foaming so I didn’t know what it was.

“Have some mead. Some of the Danes have been coming down to attack us and with them they bring this stuff. It’s strange but still rather good. Now, tell me what happened to you for the past three days or I’ll get pissed.” Gwaine said with an interesting glare.

“Alright then. You want to know? I’ve been stuck in Oberon’s enchanted forest for what has felt like a month due to him messing with time. Mordred thought it would be a great training exercise but instead it was hell. I beat him in the end but not before I was beaten up several times a day for weeks and hunted for sport for another.” I said before drinking the mead. It wasn’t bad but I wasn’t a fan. Gwaine just stared at me in utter bewilderment for a second before filling his cup back up.

“So you’re telling me that you fought against the King of the Fae for a month all in the span of three days? That’s insane, and to say you beat him even once is a miracle in itself.” he said as if he didn’t believe me.

“Well, you’ll see the truth tomorrow.” I replied.

“I know. Though, I heard you’re sparring against Arthur. Is that true?” he asked.

“Apparently yes, and Merlin.” I said. At this he choked on his drink and had to set it down before he spat it out. Following this he had a small coughing fit.

“Ugh, it’s up my nose! That stings a bit.” he said to himself as he tried to settle himself.

“You okay?” Lancelot asked from beside him. To be honest, Lancelot didn’t seem like the kind of guy to care but his question seemed genuine.

“Yeah, just Micheal here, told me that on top of fighting his majesty tomorrow, he is also fighting Merlin.” Gwaine replied.

“What! Does Arthur have it out for you kid?” Lancelot asked with a bit of surprise and worry.

“I don’t think so. Though, I was wondering why he wanted me to fight both of them.” I replied.

“Well, I hope you live to see the sunset tomorrow.” Lancelot said as he raised his cup.

“Here, here.” Gwaine added as he too raised his cup.

“Thanks.” I said as I raised my cup with them.

That night we ate, drank, and talked for a while before I went to my room. I wanted to take a bath but after getting in the warm water of the hotspring I didn’t really want to go to the castle bath. Instead I wanted to see if I could use the pendants bath or possibly even Iscarat’s bath. Though the likelihood of that was slim it was still worth a shot.

“Hey, could I use the bath in there? At the very least could I use Iscarat’s bath?” I asked into the pendent as I sat on my bed. I didn’t hear much coming from the other end but after a few seconds I heard what sounded like bickering from a ways away.

“You may use the bath in here but we have to have someone out there to watch the pendent.” I heard Elysif say.

“That’s fair. Who do you want to watch it?” I asked.

“Mordred would be the best fit but I’m afraid that the past her may see her. Who knows what may happen if they met.” Iscarat replied in his usual scratchy, high pitched voice.

“It should be fine. Mordred wouldn’t be coming in here anyways.” I said.

“Alright then.” Mordred said right before she appeared out of the pendent.

“Thank you. I feel so disgusting.” I said before entering the pendent. The first room was just that, a room. Through the door was another room filled with bunk beds and was far more homey than I expected as the walls were decorated and clean. To the left was a door that opened up into a small library and the door in the back of the bunk room was Iscarat’s. Elysif led me to the right where the kitchen and pantry area was but in the corner was a door that led to a bathroom with a toilet, sink, and tub. Though it was far more modern than the bathrooms we had in 1888 it still wasn’t twenty-first century modern. It felt like it was a 1950’s bathroom at the very best.

“Take as long as you need but do know that we are the ones who have to clean this place, not you so be careful.” Elysif said with a smile.

“Thanks, I’ll keep it clean.” I said before turning on the water. I don’t know how they got plumbing in another dimension but I didn’t care. It was so nice to have hot running water. As soon as it was filled up enough I hopped in and began lathering myself.
