Meanwhile, Mordred sat alone on the bed with the amulet around her neck for safe keeping. The fact that it was so quiet made her skin crawl. She had gotten so used to the noise of everyone else that the lack of noise didn’t feel right. It was almost unsettling. Since she had nothing better to do though she picked up one of the books that Compton had given Lou in order to help teach Medea how to read and write. Though she knew there were easier books to learn within that library. He probably just wanted them to read it because the Iliad was his favorite.

The lack of noise that disturbed her so was interrupted as Lily and Medea walked through the door. Both Lily and Medea were shocked to see Mordred in Lou’s room. Mordred was equally surprised as she had no clue as to what she was supposed to do in this situation. She wasn’t in her armor but rather in a casual gown. This was what shocked Medea the most as she, like everyone else had assumed Mordred was a man. Though seeing her in a gown emphasized her femanine features to the point that it was obvious that it was a woman.

“Sir Mordred, y-you’re a wo-” Medea started to say in shock before Mordred ran over and covered her mouth.

“Yes, but please do not speak of this to anyone. It will be our secret, okay?” Mordred said. Medea nodded in agreement so Mordred removed her hand from over her mouth and shut the door. Mordred wasn’t sure how to deal with it and the stress from the past few months was just piling on so she sat down on the bed and leaned over with her face in her hands.

“So why are you in Sir Micheal’s room, Sir, I mean Lady Mordred?” Medea asked as she wasn’t sure what else to ask.

“He’s taking a bath. He’ll be back soon though.” she said as she looked up from her hands and revealed just how tired she looked.

“Does that mean you are his lover?” Medea asked cautiously.

“O-of course not! We just happen to be good friends is all.” Mordred stammered out as she blushed a little.

“So does that make you his mistress? You must be if you are wearing something as scandalous as that in his room.” Medea asked.

“No! I am nothing of the sort. We are just friends and nothing more. Though what do you mean scandalous? This is common.” Mordred replied with even more shock than before. Her face became so red that it almost seemed to glow.

“She does have a point. It is quite scandalous.” Lily added.

“You’re not helping, Lily!” Mordred growled. Just as she was saying this, the current time frames Mordred opened the door.

“Micheal?” she asked but stopped in her tracks at the sight of herself in a gown. Without even thinking she drew her sword from out of thin air as if it had already been in her hand.

“Who are you, imposter?” the younger Mordred asked as she held her sword, Clarent out at the Mordred from 1889.

“Fuck me.” the older Mordred said to herself as if more annoyed than anything. Before the younger Mordred could react she charged at her and pushed Clarent out of the way. In the same motion she punched her younger self with all of her force square in the jaw which knocked her back out of the doorway and onto the floor. Because the older Mordred knew her younger self would be after her within an instant she took off running down the hallway.

“You bitch!” the younger Mordred yelled as she got up. She then turned to Medea. “Go tell as many people as you can that a changeling has entered Camelot and has impersonated me.” she said to her before running after her older self. Medea started to go do as she was asked only to be stopped by Lily.

“What are you doing? I have to tell everyone.” Medea said to Lily. Lily replied by blowing a strange substance in Medea’s face which made her fall to the ground unconscious.

“Sorry but I know that if you cause a scene then Lou will probably get mad at me. For now, I have to find the King. He might know what to do.” Lily said before flying off as fast as she could.

Down the hall the older Mordred ran around Maid servents and darted between rooms as best she could to avoid her past self. As she ran she passed several knights and people she had once called comrades. Many of then didn;’t recognise her as Mordred as they believed she was a man. Though a few were more observant as when she passed the wondered to themselves as to why Mordred was running around in a gown. Though as soon as they saw Mordred run through again yelling profanities and dressed in the usual armor that Mordred was commonly wearing they knew something was up.

“Man, the past me is way faster than I remember, or maybe I’m just slowing down with age? Who knows. Either way, I need to hide somewhere soon.” the older Mordred said to herself as she ran.

Looking back she saw that her past self had recruited a small number of knights and maids as she ran after her. At this point she was like a fox being chased by a pack of wolves. Nothing was going to stop them from chasing her so she began grabbing items that were placed in the halls for decoration and threw them at her pursuers.

Most of it did nothing except piss them off or slow them down for a second. Her older self though had not slowed down at all. Eventually it was only her past self still chasing after her so when they entered the throne room she pulled Clarent out of thin air as her past self had done before and clashed it with her past selves. The younger Mordred looked shocked to see that her sword had been copied as well as her body but still attempted a counter attack.
