“What are you?” Mordred asked in fear as she watched the man being burned from the inside was still ready to kill her.

“A possessed golem…” he said before swinging the blade down. Mordred shut her eyes but no blade came down on her. Opening her eyes she saw the golem holding his blade over her head, unable to move. Looking behind her she saw Gwaine, holding his sword up to defend her from the attack. Pushing the golem’s sword back, Gwaine pushed his blade into the golem's wrist that was holding Mordred. Pushing away from it the golem released Mordred and she drew her sword from it’s chest.

“Since when are you so sloppy?” Gwaine asked Mordred jokingly.

“And when are you early to a party?” she asked him in the same joking manner. He simply chuckled at her remark and charged the golem with Mordred joining in tandem.

“Good! I love a fair fight.” the golem bellowed happily as he swung his sword to meet them. Just as the golem did though, the girl swung her halbert and Gwaine was launched back into the wall. This gave the golem a surprised look as he blocked Mordred’s attack and swung his blade so wide that Mordred had to jump back to get out of its range.

“What the hell was that for? I was having fun.” the golem complained to the girl.

“You may be able to take on each of them by yourself but both would have been suicide.” the girl said as if she was chastising him.

“You know I can’t die.” he replied in all seriousness.

“Fine then, get yourself killed.” she said as if she was pouting.

Gwaine got up whilst shaking his head in pain. The force of him being knocked back was enough to make him wish he hadn’t come here to help Mordred. Though it didn’t matter. He was in a fight to the death so meaningless feelings would have to wait. Charging the golem once again he swung his blade at the golem’s sword. It shattered on impact much to the golem’s surprise but even so the golem gave an inhuman smile as Gwaine’s sword severed his head.

Rolling on the ground the golem’s head came out of it’s helmet revealing the golem’s name which Mordred pierced and the golem’s body turned to brick-like stone. Both of them now turned to the sorcerer woman who didn’t look the least bit afraid. Her eyes were emotionless, as if she had given up or perhaps never had any hope to begin with. They were so cold and they soon found out why. The golem’s laugh began again from no particular place, menacing, evil, and filled with malice.

“Where is that coming from?” Mordred asked. Suddenly, a spirit-like creature appeared before Gwaine, grabbing him by the throat. He gasped for air as the spirit forcefully entered his body.

“He has taken hold. Your ally is now possessed.” the girl said emotionlessly. Gwaine yelled out in pain as if he was getting stabbed from the inside.

“You little bitch!” Mordred yelled as she charged the young girl. Without any hesitation the girl swung her halbert and Mordred was launched backwards by an invisible force into the stairway behind her. As she slammed into the stairway Mordred heard Gwaine chuckling to himself followed by mad laughter.

“How wonderful! This body is far better than the last one.” Gwaine said joyously in a voice that was not his own.

Knowing that Gwaine was now possessed Mordred quickly crawled up the stairs to escape. Since he wasn’t done enjoying himself the now possessed Gwaine began walking up the stairs after her with the young girl following close behind. From down the hall below them the girl and the now possessed Gwaine heard the sounds of several men running towards them. Though neither of them bothered to acknowledge it as several Saxon soldiers were also coming up the stairs to the door.

The knights that were still alive slowly began getting up to face the oncoming attack. Though most of them could barely lift their shields as the Saxon’s ran through the door. Knight’s flooded out of the hallway and met the Saxon’s head on, allowing the injured to escape or rest.

As Mordred fled down the hallway she heard the sound of Gwaine’s footsteps behind her echoing as if on purpose. At the end of the hallway was a large room used for parties and such but now it would be the perfect place for Mordred to ambush Gwaine and that girl. The only problem was that she had yet to reach it and behind her in a straight path was the enemy. Looking over her shoulder she saw Gwaine and the girl both walking after her at a normal pace, as if she wasn’t worth the energy. Then she realized why; The girl slammed her halbert on the ground and Mordred’s body was launched into the ceiling.

It wasn’t the pain of impacting the ceiling that hurt but the fall to the floor that came after it. The girl slammed her halbert against the wall this time, then the other wall. Mordred was sent flying against the wall then the other where her jaw hit a door latch. She cried out in pain from the strike to her jaw before the girl flung her halbert outward causing Mordred to be shot from where she was lying all the way into the open room in a tumble as if she was a wet folded up piece of cloth thrown at full force.
