She crashed into the room and quickly scrambled out of the way of the door so that she wouldn’t be seen. Her hopes were that the girl's halbert could only work on those she could see and thankfully she was right. Mordred wasn’t launched anywhere for the time being, giving her a moment to catch her breath. She rubbed her jaw as it was starting to swell up from being hit but she was glad that she was at least alive.

“I hope you don’t think you can hide from me? If you do, I'll rip this body to shreds and find a new one. How do you feel knowing that your companion is my hostage?” Gwaine said menacingly as he approached. Mordred bit her lip in anger as she knew that hurting the spirit would mean hurting Gwaine. Even if she did though, would it even hurt the spirit? She had no clue.

Just as Mordred heard their footsteps get close to the room Mordred swung her sword out into the hallway and purple flames burst forth from it. An explosion or flame burst down the hallway yet she heard nothing. No screaming or writhing, nothing. Flames stopped erupting from her blade to reveal Gwaine shielding the small girl.

“What?” Mordred said to herself in surprise.

“I knew you were soft but I didn’t expect you to only try and burn the girl.” Gwaine chuckled in a voice that wasn’t his own.

Jumping backwards, Mordred readied herself to fight him. She knew she didn’t stand a chance against him so long as that girl was interfering. Despite that though, she had a job to do. She didn’t want to kill Gwaine but the possibility of her doing so was very high, at least if she wanted to live. The possessed Gwaine held out his sword. Capable of shattering any blade it came into contact with other than a few of the swords that the Lady of the Lake had produced.

“Do not interfere unless necessary. I want to have a little fun.” Gwaine said to the girl in his possessed voice. She nodded her head as Gwaine charged at Mordred. Swinging his sword over his head, Gwaine went full offensive. Mordred lowered herself in response and charged at him so that she could stab him near the stomach. Though as she did Gwaine froze mid-swing. He looked pained so before she could get close to him the girl shook her halbert and Mordred was sent flying backwards.

“I apologize for that. It seems that this body doesn’t exactly want me to be in complete control. However, I have it under control now so we should be ready now.” Gwaine said in a voice that was not his own before releasing a small chuckle.. Then he stopped. “Mordred! Kill me! Do it now! Then run, run as far as you can.” Mordred heard Gwaine say in his normal voice.

“Gwaine?” Mordred muttered to herself in hopes of giving herself a stronger resolve. Though, before she could even move the girl swung her halbert above her head in a spinning motion before slamming the end on the ground.

Mordred was thrown into the air and launched back and forth against each of the walls. With each impact she let out a cry in pain and after the third time she was slammed against a wall she began coughing up blood. Gwaine stood motionless for a second before he began to move once more. He chuckled under his breath for a second before bursting into laughter.

“I never expected to find someone with such strong resolve. I was right to join this war after all. This has been so much fun!” he cried out joyously.

Before he could do anything more Morgana came up behind the girl and held a knife to her throat. She looked neither surprised nor scared of the knife at her throat. In fact, she didn’t show any emotion whatsoever. Morgana grabbed her wrist as well and turned it behind her back which forced her to drop her halbert.

“I don’t know what happened Gwaine but if you don’t stop this I will kill this girl and you.” Morgana said threateningly as she brought the tip of the knife even closer to the girl's neck.

“Do as you wish. She was only a slave that I had under a spell. I can easily replace her at any point.” Gwaine replied nonchalantly in a voice that wasn’t his own. Morgana then gave a slim smile.

“Good, then you’ll have no problems if I leave this one to fight you.” Morgan said as I appeared behind her. Walking past her I readied myself. Morgana lowered the knife from the girl's neck as I did and with a wave of her hand the girl fell asleep. Since she didn’t have to worry about the girl, Morgana ran over to Mordred and began treating her wounds whilst asking Mordred to forgive her for her bad parenting.

Gwaine neither readied himself nor looked at all impressed with me. He even began rubbing the back of his neck as if it was aching. Since he wasn’t even bothering to pay me any mind I charged at him. Swinging my blade at his side he raised his sword with lightning quite speed and blocked my sword.

“I see you have more of a backbone than that one did. Though, I wonder how you will fare against an ally?” the possessed Gwaine said menacingly.

Swinging his blade at a speed that almost matched that of Oberon I had to focus enough for him to slow down. Our blades clashed at near tandem speed over and over without fail. This wasn’t the power of the spirit but of Gwaine himself. It left me wondering if he was even human. Eventually we both became tired and backed off for a moment to catch our breath. Neither of us were able to give in but neither of us could land a hit upon the other. No wonder Mordred was having such a hard time with this one.
