About an hour later the informant arrived and Galahad himself had nearly drunk his entire bottle. I, however, was only given the one glass. The informant that arrived was another old man. He was wearing torn, dirty clothes that made me think he was a beggar.

“Come, come, sit?” Galahad beckoned. The informant did as requested and found himself a seat.

“What can I assist you with, sir?” the informant asked.

“I give this man full access to all of our information. Please aid him in any way that you can.” Galahad said. The informant nodded.

“I wish to know all the information that you have on the wizard, Merlin?” I said. The informant rubbed his chin for a moment before finally standing up.

“Come with me.I don’t know much off hand but I can take you to where the information is kept.” the informant replied before standing up.

“Please, take me wherever I can get this information.” I said thankfully as I stood up as well.

“Good luck!” Galahad said before going back to his writing. The Informant then led me out of the chamber, down the stairs, and then outside. Down several streets to another building that looked crudely built. Once inside, he led me down a set of stairs to a wine cellar where he began moving bottles around on their shelves.

“Do you really think that this is a good time to be getting a drink?” I asked. The informant seemed displeased by my retort but kept on until he had set up the bottles in a strange array on the wall. As soon as he set the last bottle, the wall shifted slightly and he pushed it open.

“I see, nevermind then.” I said. The informant turned back to me with an annoyed look.

“Let me ask you, are you truly, Sir Micheal?” the informant asked.

“I am?” I replied, confused.

“Galahad has told us many stories about the few months that you were under King Arthur’s command. That you even bested Arthur and Merlin yourself. If that is true then why do you need information about Merlin?” the informant asked.

“He has grown much more powerful and I cannot fight him just yet. In fact, I would be unable to kill him until the year 1889.” I said honestly. The informant only let out a sigh before walking beyond the wall and down another set of stairs.

“I don’t know your reasoning nor do I know why you have to wait so damn long but I’m willing to bet that Galahad didn’t tell you that this entire organization was made to stop Merlin. If your goal is in line with ours then we will help you as best as we can. The Vatican in Rome doesn’t know of our true objective. All they know is that we are gathering information and translating it into a select few languages. Had they known our true objectives I doubt that they would be against it but I also think that it would be significantly easier for Merlin to learn of this if they did.” the informant said as we entered another room.

Although it was hard to see, the informant pulled out a small stone and began scraping against a device he put on his hands. Sparks came off of it and into a bowl of oil which quickly lit on fire. From the bowl the flames shot down a series of pipes filled with the same oil and in a few moments the entire room was lit by the oil fire that spanned the walls and hanging lanterns from above. It was a massive library filled with books, scrolls, and ancient treasures. It was a historian's dream.

“All of the information we have here on Merlin is at the back of the library behind a bookcase. I’ll show it to you.” the informant said before leading me down the halls of bookcases. After passing several bookcases filled to the brim with all different forms of books we came upon a bookcase in which he removed a book and pulled a key from inside of a compartment inside of it and placed the book back before removing another large book. Behind it was a small hole that he inserted the key into and twisted it until a locking mechanism clicked loudly. Slamming into the bookcase with all his might it slowly opened up to reveal a small hidden room with a desk, chair, and several more books.

“This room contains all the information that we have on Merlin that has been copied so far. The rest are in Italy but we have a decent amount here. Read as much as you want. I’ll have someone bring you some food and drink in a little bit.” the informant said before he started heading back the way we had come.

“Thank you.” I said as he walked away but he didn’t respond. “Alright, time to get to work!” I said to myself as I picked up the first book. As soon as I flipped it open my heart sank a bit. It was all in French. I didn’t know how to read French at all.

“Lily, Elysif, Compton. Could you come out and help me?” I asked. A few moments later they all appeared out of the pendant.

“What’s the problem?” Compton asked.

“I can’t read French. Do any of you know how to read it?” I asked with a depressed tone.

“Not at all.” Lily and Elysif both said.

“I do.” Compton said as he picked up one of the books and sat down. “Okay, this is old French… It’s gonna take some time to read this.” Compton said with an annoyed tone.
