After a couple more hours the informant returned with some more food. It seemed that they assumed that we were asleep. However, I was still awake. Not because I wanted to, though. Since Compton did all the work and everyone else was asleep I ended up waiting for him. Because of this, I wasn’t all there.

“Is there something you need?” the informant asked.

“Yes, what do you know about Tartarus?” I asked with what seemed like a scary voice to the informant.

“The underworld in Greek mythology? Not much. Is there any reason for your question?” the informant replied.

“You see, I need to find Tartarus so I would like to make a request. Could you use your resources to find it?” I asked with an almost commanding aura. It wasn’t that I was trying to be a dick but that I was too tired to ask properly. However, that isn’t a good excuse.

“I will ask Galahad. Though, I personally don’t see why not. So long as it helps defeat Merlin.” the informant said.

“Thank you.” I replied before the informant left once again. Allowing me to finally sleep.

Merlin sat along a small dock that despite its size, was littered with ships. He didn’t particularly like this area but it wasn’t like he could go anywhere else. He knew practically nothing about Sir Micheal and needed information. Although it was a small chance, he did have an idea of where some of that information may be. The last of the original Elder Ones was rumored to still be trapped below Olympus. However, that was just speculation. It may take him some time to actually find the entrance to Tartarus.

That said, even if he finds Tartarus, there is only a slim chance that Kronos is still inside. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn’t attempt something like this but it is necessary. There are three desires that he needs to fulfill. One is to revive Freya. The second is to bring about peace on this earth. Finally, the third is to destroy anyone who would threaten him. Though, the first two cannot be achieved until the third is completed. His biggest threat right now happens to be that damned Micheal.

He couldn’t help but feel as if Micheal was a threat due to how he spoke about him to Arthur. Whether he was or not wasn’t an issue at the moment. With the sword Freya gave him as well as his capabilities he was surely a force to be reckoned with. If they fought then there would be a slim chance of victory at the moment. If that servant girl that he had was around then he could use her as a hostage but she disappeared shortly after his disappearance.

They had managed to find her but she escaped again. All in all, it wasn’t good to have no leverage. Thus, his current situation. Looking over, he saw Mordred approaching him with a wooden barrel hoisted over her shoulder. To most, the sight of her carrying that with such ease when most of the sailors could barely pick it up on their own was odd. However, to Merlin this was common.

“What’s in the barrel?” Merlin asked curiously as she approached.

“Some food. Mainly dried meat and some fruit.” she said as if it was normal.

“When I said to get yourself some food for the excursion, I meant something to last a few days at most. Not enough for a week.” Merlin said.

“Well, this was for both of us.” she replied as if she didn’t even bother thinking twice about getting him some food as well.

“Oh, I see. Well, thank you for that. The captain said that we can set sail in an hour.” Merlin said with a surprised tone.

“That’s good. Where is it that you wanted to go? It seemed kind of strange that you wanted to make a pilgrimage all of the sudden.” Mordred asked curiously.

“I need to see some family. I figured that maybe they might have some information on the Masked Man.” Merlin replied. At the mention of the Masked Man Mordred looked to be gritting her teeth in anger but wasn’t trying to make it obvious.

“You know if you keep doing that you’ll only cause your mouth to hurt.” Merlin said upon noticing it.

“Sorry… I just can’t stand it. Anyways, you said you needed to see some family. Is it perhaps your parents?” she asked.

“No. They’re dead. It’s more like my grandparent of a sort.” he said with a look that made her think that he was deep in thought.

“Well, I hope they are helpful and that you get to enjoy seeing them.” Mordred said with an innocent smile that made even Merlin seem surprised.

“Thanks…” Merlin replied with an unconvincing smile.
