Compton told me the way to go from here to get to the city before disappearing back inside the pendant. He really didn’t want to be out right now. Probably because he did so much already to get us here. It didn’t really matter though. Having him around would probably make things more difficult, especially if we ran into Merlin.

“Lily, you should probably go inside the pendant as well.” I said to her as she was looking at some carvings on the Acropolis. She sighed a bit before coming over to me.

“But it’s so boring! I want to be out here for a while.” she demanded. Despite understanding her reasoning, I couldn’t just let her roam free at the moment. If we did run into Merlin then it would be better to get away as fast as possible. Not to put her down but she could easily get caught, and that wasn’t something that I was gonna let happen.

“I know, but we need to be stealthy so it would be better if only I was out.” I replied with an understanding tone.

“Fine…” she grumbled.

“How about if we go somewhere to have some fun after all this? Perhaps the beach would be a good place?” I asked. Her eyes instantly grew wider with anticipation.

“Okay!” she said happily before disappearing inside the pendant.

With that taken care of, I started heading down the hill towards Athens. I didn’t want to be seen that much out of fear that Merlin was actually here. If we were to clash then it wouldn’t be good. It’s not like I could beat him anyways. The best idea would be to sneak around until I got to the spot on the map.

Upon entering the city I began going through alleyway after alleyway in order to avoid the main road. However, I soon found that I was starting to get lost. The back alleys were quite confusing. Because of that, I decided to check out one of the main roads. Sure enough, there was one of the informants dressed in the same garb as the others sitting on the road begging. Though, he didn’t catch my attention nearly as much as the woman giving him some money.

Mordred was standing over him, dropping some coins into his cup. The sight of her made me a bit depressed but I couldn’t let her see me. Because if she was here then that meant that Merlin wasn’t far away. Sure enough, he approached her with an honest smile before talking to her about something. I wanted to hear what they were saying but I was too far away.

Just as I was going back into the alleyway so that they wouldn’t be able to see me I felt as if a pair of eyes were staring daggers into me. Had he seen me? Was he going to try and fight me? It didn’t matter. For the sake of everyone else, I needed to hide.

“Is something wrong?” Mordred asked Merlin as she noticed his attention shift towards a far-off alleyway.

“It’s nothing. Just my imagination. We should probably get going though. After talking with the locals I think I know where Tartarus is.” Merlin replied. He knew he had felt something off but whatever it was could wait until they were somewhere away from the city. He may not have cared for the lives of the people here but he had to keep up appearances. Plus, he couldn’t fight with all of his power with so many buildings in the area.

“Okay, lead the way.” Mordred replied before Merlin began walking off. Mordred followed closely at his side.

Just as the two had left and were out of sight, I came out of my hiding spot and walked over to who I assumed was the informant. It was an older man with short hair and a long beard. He was short and I wouldn’t have pegged him as an informant for Galahad, but I guess it didn’t matter what I thought.

“Excuse me, Sir. Are you an informant for Galahad?” I asked the old man.

“Huh, no! That’s the man across the street.” the beggar said as if I was stupid. He then held out his cup. I’m pretty sure that I had used up all of the coins that Arthur had given me so I thought for a second.

“Hey, Lily. is there any food in there that I can give this man?” I asked just loud enough so that it could be heard in the pendant. A few seconds later a jar of pickled vegetables appeared out of the pendant. Giving it to the man, he looked very happy at the sight of it but seemed to be unable to figure out how to open it. Thus, I opened it for him and went over to the man across the street.

“Are you Galahad’s informant?” I asked the man who looked to be in his mid-twenties. He was playing some kind of stringed instrument in front of a mat that was littered with stones. Each one had a marking on it that reminded me of magic runes like what Scott had all over his body.

“And your Micheal I presume?” the man asked as he stopped playing his instrument.
