《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Beginning Of The End - Part 045

Sneaking around the boat, Silva got around the men unloading the boat and started heading for the stairs that led to the platform. No one seemed to notice her at all. There was one point where it looked like Merlin had seen her but it turned out that she was safe. Silva snuck up the metal stairs after Merlin who was standing over the desk. As if he knew she was coming Merlin looked up from his desk. A mask similar to my own covered his face.
“Welcome! I didn’t think I left any crumb trail with this operation but I guess we all make mistakes.” Merlin said in a female voice before turning around to face Silva.
“Was I that easy to detect?” Silva replied.
“I had thought I felt something but it wasn’t until you came up here that I really felt your magic.” Merlin replied with the same female voice.
“So you can sense magic? What I would expect from someone so high up in the Agency.”
“How much do you know, Silva?”
“I know you’re a higher up in the Agency, also if you know my name then I should know you personally.”
“So you don’t know who I really am?”
“Why don’t you find out for yourself.” Silva said as she charged at the Merlin. Drawing her blade she swung it in an upward motion. The tip of the blade missed Merlin’s shoulder by only a few centimeters as the figure stepped to the side. Silva swung in a diagonal motion to try and hit Merlin again.
As she swung at him, a blade that was at least seventeen centimeters thick shot up from the ground floor of the longhouse and through the platform they stood on. Silva jumped back as soon as it pierced the platform and barely avoided the blade. The robed figure walked towards the edge of the platform and shouted.

“We have an intruder! Kill her at all costs!” Merlin yelled before turning back to Silva. “I have no more need for this body. They will finish you off so I bid you farewell.” and with that, the figure snapped its own neck. The mask it wore fell off revealing the face of a now-dead woman even younger than Silva with tears stained on her face. Blue fire spiraled around the young woman from below and swallowed everything down to the bones.
The men who had been unloading crates until a few moments ago ran up the platform to see Silva. As they did each of them grew harrier along with fangs and claws. The wolf-like form of each of them was enough to send most into a panic. Silva however ran to the opposite side of the platform in which the werewolves were on and jumped onto the vessel they had been unloading. She then jumped from there to a stack of crates and down those like a gigantic staircase.
I felt like it would be a good idea to help her but at the moment she was doing fine. Though, I could have sworn that the robed figure was Merlin. Either way, it was someone he had possessed. The fact that Merlin wasn’t here actually made me a bit reluctant. Faking Silva’s death would be so much easier now that he is gone.
Once on the ground floor, Silva ran towards the door she had come through originally. The werewolves charged after her on all fours, leaving very little room for her to get away. One of the werewolves jumped right above her. However, Silva jabbed her blade over her head, impaling the werewolf through the neck. It fell behind her desperately trying to howl before turning into ash-like dust. As soon as Silva was outside Lily flew after her.

The werewolves were not far from her as she ran through the streets. Ducking between unlit alleyways and around street corners in hopes of slowing her pursuers. They were far superior when it came to tracking prey though. They were right behind her the entire time only leaving small gaps between them in which she had no time to catch her breath.
“Lily, fly ahead of her and lead her into an alleyway. We can do the switch there.” I said from inside the pendant.
“Okay.” Lily replied before fly as fast as she could to get ahead of Silva.
“Elysif, we need to make this look as real as possible. Do you think you could control her body?” I asked.
“You’re asking me this now! I would have thought that you already had a plan?” she said.
“I kind of forgot. However, I’m pretty sure that you can.” I replied.
“Yes, I can control Mordred’s corpse.” Elysif said with a sigh.
Throughout the wharf, people were being awoken by the howling of wolves mixed with the barking of dogs. Yet very few if any people saw the werewolves in their monstrous size because of how quickly they were chasing Silva. Once Lily had flown ahead of Silva she led her down an alleyway filled with garbage and rotting fish. As soon as Silva was safely in the alley I told her to get inside the pendant along with Lily. As soon as both were inside I appeared from it and instantly went to the world of stars.
“So you finally came to take that corpse with you?” Tim asked as I appeared.
“Yes, I have. Though I would like to ask you for a favor?” I replied.
“And what might that be?” Tim asked with a curious tone that didn’t match her expressionless face.
