Nevertheless, he still needed some more Theríon to deal with the queen, that was why Feng Luotian chose to take a breather before initiating his own quest.

Another half-day coursed through time; Feng Luotian was subsequently ready. This time, he preferred to slowly walk toward the aimed destination and ultimately arrived at the largest cavern so far.

Sensing something, Feng Luotian squinted his eyes to focus and looked up at the ceiling. There were dozens of her preys hung and wrapped by the web, waiting to be devoured by the queen. The preys were not only monsters but also humans.

Amongst those preys, there was one that caught his eyes. The prey was a skeleton dressed in a uniform familiar to Feng Luotian as it was of the Divine Bird City’s city guard captain. More than that, next to the dried corpse, there was a floating wisp of light that seemed to be a wisp of conscience made by the person before they were turned into this.

This entirely made Feng Luotian shifted his full attention from the beast to the wisp instead. For him, intel was more precious than treasure. As a reincarnator, he had tons of methods under his sleeves to acquire cultivation resources and items; however, the information from the situation that was as peculiar as this, he wanted it even more than what he came for.

Why is this peculiar?

The answer lies within the identity of the corpse.

Divine Bird City’s city guard captain was in a high and aloof position with the city. Then, why would the city guard captain become a dried skeleton alone in this hellhole that was deep into the Nefarious Valley on the west side of the city? If this was not strange, then what was?
