《The day I became World Administrator》10. Defense perimeter established

Isaac stood in front of the new screen that had appeared without really knowing how to react. An explosion then sounded, bringing him back to reality.
[System] Alert! Rune of protection at 3%
He then observed the golden ray and the energy bar of the shield before setting to work. Considering how quickly it weakens and how quickly the shield's charge decreases, the shield will most likely give way long before the beam is completely exhausted.
Isaac then proceeded to read the contents of the control panel diagonally, hoping to find something that might help him.

Almost immediately upon seeing the option, Isaac activated all of the maintenance and defense golems to prepare the Gardens in case an attack came if the shield gave way.
The moment he pressed the button, flashes of light suddenly appeared all over the plain. In the plain, around the lakes, in a somewhat random way, golems appeared.
On their torso, geometric designs were visible glowing a bluish color and emitting a fairly low amount of mana. Inside them, Isaac could observe what looked like streams of mana running through their entire bodies.
"Mana circuits ?! Are these things alive?" he thought as he saw the vessels.
Across the plain, two different types of golems were visible.
One, tall and measuring almost four and a half meters in height, was quite slender with a width of one meter at the hips, giving it an elegant and slim look. His long arms hanging down his body at the end of which were five long fingers. His whole body was long, from his head, his fingers. Except for her feet which were nonexistent, just holding onto her legs at the flat end.

The other in comparison was quite short, barely three meters tall but with a hip size of almost two meters, giving him a somewhat stocky figure. This golem seemed to be very heavy despite its smaller size and much more stable.
If he had to guess, Isaac would have identified the former as the maintenance golems, and the latter as the defense golems. This assumption was also reinforced by the staffing ratio between them.
At first glance, you could count that for every defense golem there were three maintenance golems. For a total of about eighty golems, that made twenty defense golems for sixty maintenance. Logically, Defense Golems are said to be the most difficult to create, having a lot more functionality and energy devoted to military and weaponry applications.
So far, that guess was the only thing that allowed him to tell them apart, with no option to let him know which are which on the control board. He didn't want to turn them off and waste any more time either.
While observing the golems, Isaac then continued his manipulation and decided to cut the Rune of Protection.
"Better to avoid it being broken completely. If it is possible to recharge it afterwards, then leaving the garden without a shield for a while will always be better than destroying the rune totally" he thought as he pressed the button. deactivation.
Just then, the geometric marks inscribed in the air and forming the dome around the garden suddenly disappeared. Immediately, the golden ray crossed the air and left the gardens towards the sky before totally disappearing into the stars, leaving behind only a fine presence of energy which was already beginning to dissipate.
Looking visibly satisfied, Isaac returned his attention to the golems and then to the edges of the garden, worried about what might be hiding on the other side. "If he's installed a shield, it's most likely for a reason." Having thought about it, Isaac then began to descend, his invisible bubble moving him before reaching three meters in height, still levitating, next to one of the golems.

He then looked up at the immense four-meter rock and mana formation, feeling a little bad and in danger next to such a creature. Yet despite being so close, the golem didn't seem to react in the slightest bit and stood still.
The same could be said about all golems. They were there, standing and motionless. "Are they waiting for instructions?" Isaac wondered when he saw this. He then came to approach the inscription of mana on their chest.
After a few moments, unable to read anything, Isaac decided to study it later and focus on defense. First, he checked the levels of the runes and was pleased to see that the runes were already starting to regenerate, with the Rune of Regeneration and Rune of Survival already at 4%.
Seeing that the Runes had an ability to regenerate, he returned his attention to the golems again and cleared his throat a little before speaking out loud.
- "Position yourself at the edge of the Garden. Report any entity that approaches and repel any hostile entity by any means available. Do not let any entity enter" he said, hoping the golems could understand.
Immediately, in front of him, the control panel window opened.
[System] Order confirmed.
[System] Running ...
Everywhere on the plain, we suddenly heard loud footsteps. The golems, whoever they were, then began to march and each on their own, slowly distributed themselves, each in a direction.
The maintenance golem next to Isaac then began to kick in just as Isaac had an idea. He then hastened to resume aloud.
- "Stop. You, stay here."
Likewise, the control panel reacts and the golem in front of Isaac immediately hangs before standing upright, motionless. Satisfied, the young man then returned his attention to the control panel and the loading levels.
Until now, the Runes that seemed to recharge were the Runes of Regeneration and Survival, probably the ones with priority over mana supply. However, this did not really reassure Isaac who hesitated to reactivate the Rune of Protection, especially given its charge level:
Rune of Protection: █░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ 0.5%
He wasn't sure if the Rune could sustain a sudden activation with such a low charge level or even if the mana supply would be restored or prioritized. He therefore had to be content with golems for protection.
Once the systems had been checked, he decided to let the regeneration do its work and approached the rune inscribed on the golem's chest.
[System] Defense perimeter established.
