Chapter 61: Date of war

The Shape-shifting Jutsu was created by Minato, Kushina, and I, using the transformation Jutsu as a base and taking into consideration that as a tailed beast, Kurama is made from chakra, so theoretically: it should be possible to apply principles of manipulating chakra on his body.

The reason we went to such lengths and didn't simply teach Kurama the Transformation Jutsu is that it won't work in something that has a huge amount of Chakra like a tailed beast which will passively disrupt the effect of the Jutsu.

Meanwhile, what the shape-shifting Jutsu does is use the Transformation Jutsu to create a miniature form for Kurama while at the same time concentrates the huge chakra that makes his body to fill that form reducing his size in the process without losing his shape as a nine-tailed fox.

And just like that the 100 meters tall Kurama shrunk to a 10-meter tall nine-tailed fox which is the maximum with his current chakra manipulation skills, this transformation caused his body to be even harder, and damaging him now without a really strong Jutsu will be almost impossible.

At the same time, Hiruzen and some Anbu reached this place after hearing the commotion Kurama caused and they quickly landed beside Fugaku.

"Did something happen here, Fugaku?" Asked Hiruzen who's in his full fighting gear while the Anbu behind him were on guard ready for fighting too.

However, they quickly noticed a fox that seemed familiar waving its tails in the air and glaring at a kid in front of it causing terror to raise in their hearts and Hiruzen was about to use a Jutsu to attack, but before he could, Fugaku stopped him.

"Relax Hiruzen, he's not our enemy" said Fugaku while stepping in their way and followed by saying "he's going to help us during the incoming trouble"

It was like a bomb dropped on everyone's ears. Because to have the help of the feared nine-tailed fox is like finding water in a desert for them as the current situation was impossible to solve without strong allies and what better ally than the strongest of all tailed beasts?

Hiruzen tried to control his excitement but he was perplexed so he asked "Fugaku please explain the situation to us"

Fugaku shook his head at his request before he pointed at Minato and said "Minato will explain since he has known about this way before me"

'This guy is Minato? I really can't understand what's happening anymore' Hiruzen sighed looking at the two unknown ninjas standing beside Naruto while feeling that time was passing him very fast.

He heard Minato say "I am sorry for not informing you Hiruzen-san but there were just many uncertainties in the village and I wanted to make sure that this matter will not be exposed otherwise people would have opposed to it, that's why no one knew about the unsealing of Kurama including Fugaku only at the last moments"

Hiruzen frowned at this and asked what worried him the most "But are you sure he won't go berserk again?"

At this Kurama looked away from Bakorio and narrowed his eyes at Hiruzen "Old man, you are the last person that should mistrust people, hehehe after all I still remember how you gladly promised Minato to take care of his kid, I wonder how that ended out to be"

Hearing Kurama's mocking words Hiruzen wasn't affected as he knew he deserved them, however, Tenzo (Yamato) who is still young at this time and people always told him that his rare wood release could restrict tailed beasts got hot-headed and said "How dare you mock Hokage-sama" before he clapped his hands causing would pillars to emerge from the ground and move in the direction of Kurama.

"STOP, TENZO!" Yelled Hiruzen, but it was too late as he already initiated his attack which caused my eyes to turn cold and I thought 'If Kurama wasn't close enough to me, the attack of this idiot would have resulted in the emergence of a new conflict between him and Konoha ruining all my efforts and making him an ally'

Seeing that my hard work to make Kurama accept people again was about to be ruined by this idiot, I quickly reacted making one of my short swords appear out of nowhere and I coated it in a very sharp chakra before I slashed all his wood pillars into pieces and flickered in front of Tenzo landing a kick at his stomach sending him flying from the sheer physical power I used.

Kakashi quickly ran to see if his friend was okay, as I put my short sword away and coldly looked at everyone "If any of you attack Kurama again, next time the punishment would be death"

"You-" one Anbu tried to respond however Fugaku quickly cut him off

"Enough, Tenzo will be punished for attacking an ally without reason, Kurama is now an ally of Konoha, attacking him in any way would result in heavy punishment, now other than Hiruzen the rest of you disperse"

"I agree with Fugaku's decision" Sais Hiruzen knowing the trouble Tenzo's stupid actions could have caused wasn't something Konoha could handle right now.

"Yes sir" and they all obediently left.

"Tch, and here I wanted to teach that brat that has the same ability as Hashirama a lesson" said Kurama with a disappointed face but I could clearly tell that he was feeling delighted because I stood up for him.

Hiruzen seeing that everything was fine, he gestured for Minato to tell him the rest of the story and he did tell him about the seals they made for Kurama to make imprisoning and controlling him harder if not completely impossible and how he promised to help them in the coming war causing Hiruzen to feel delighted.

"This is really good news. Thanks, you two, you really did a huge favor to Konoha I can't thank you enough" he said

However, Kushina didn't give a damn about his gratitude and said in an angry tone "you should be thanking Bakorio, not us since he's the one that came up with this, we only followed his suggestions"

Hiruzen seemed surprised at this and turned his attention to the boy that just dealt with an Anbu as if it was nothing 'So it's Bakorio again huh, just what's this kid's secret?' he thought and said "Thank you Bakorio-kun, Konoha's really lucky to have you"

"Yea yea, just make sure that an incident like this one doesn't happen again" I said

At this Hiruzen sighed and said "It can't be helped. After all, you know the sentiments of the people regarding Kurama as you called him, especially with the incident 5 years ago still fresh in people's minds"

'As if I don't know this' I thought " Yes, I know but you need to think of a way to make people accept him faster, you are good at manipulating opinions; just use this talent of yours"

Hiruzen looked visibly embarrassed at my words that reminded him of what Kurama just said about Naruto so he simply nodded and said "I will do my best"

With this matter settled, I looked at Shisui and asked "How's the situation with those clans?"

Shisui frowned and said "They were welcomed by the ninja from the village hidden in the rain and now they are making preparations for war through the support of many parties including Kumo and Iwa"

'It seems even with Kurama's help, Konoha's fate is still grim' I thought with a frown before I asked "did they determine when they will initiate their attacks?"

"Yes, they just did an hour ago, they will attack us in ..." here Shisui's face was filled with despair and everyone looked at him with absolute focus waiting for the answer
