Chapter 86: Distraction and slaughter
The moment the area became covered in mist, the sensor quickly yelled to his comrades "Gather into formation C"
This formation is for specific situations such as this one when dealing with a possible assassin. So, they would all gather in a circular formation while protecting their weakest or most important members in the middle. In this case, they were the two Fuinjutsu specialists meant to discover and disable the traps Konoha's forces hid all over the battlefield.
'I can't feel his presence at all, this is really bad' was all the Jonin sensor could think as he started having a terrible feeling about this encounter so he started pushing his focus to its absolute limits to locate the position of the boy trying to use the ominous aura he felt before to his advantage but it was to no avail.
The silence and tension kept building on the battlefield, but it was soon broken when I decided to make my move as I rushed directly for the female that was disappointed in only fighting a kid!
She quickly noticed me approaching with a short sword in hand which me her underestimate me even more as she also was a sword wielder so she didn't hesitate to envelop her sword in lightning and prepare for my attack
"Careful, the kid made his move and he's an Uchiha!!" She yelled at her comrades when she noticed my Sharingan, then she attacked me with a very fast slash.
'Not bad' the speed of her slash was truly fast but I could still react to it thanks to my huge agility and swift sword style. So I parried her slash with my sword which I covered in chakra that flowed from the handle to the tip and this was for two reasons.
First, so that I do not get electrocuted by the lightning covering her sword.
And second, was to make my tilted parrying motion even more effective as her attack almost seemed to be slipping from my swords and hit the ground to her shock!

Then, using my level 5 swift sword style that enhanced my attack speed with the sword by 25%, I quickly slashed at her neck.
'No, I'm going to die!!' was all she could think of as my sword grew closer to her neck, but at the last moment. My attack was interrupted by a huge figure using a huge sword!
*Clang*
Sparks flew everywhere between as I looked at who blocked my attack and it was the dismissive Jonin.
'He's strong!' thought the huge jonin in horror when he felt the force behind my slash that almost made him lose his grip on his sword...
Then right afterward the sensor followed by attacking directly using the Rank c Lightning Release: Lightning Beast Tracking Fang!
This Jutsu creates a dog-like beast made of lightning and it keeps on following the target under the manipulation of the caster until he gets hit.
Add to that the rest of the Chunin that started reacting making the situation seem to be tilting in favor of this team.
'Tch, how annoying, it's good that I was careful' I thought with a smirk on my face as I dodged the beast of lightning and then...
'Not good' was all the Sensor could think as my real body appeared behind the group of Chunins and in perfect synchronization with my shadow clone who kept distracting the Jonins.
Heads started flying in the air while blood rained down on this misty terrain "CAREFUL HE'S BEHIND US, DISPERSE THE MIST"
After I quickly killed 3 Chunins, one of the last two that could use wind release took a deep breath and used a Wind Shock wave Jutsu to disperse the mist to the best of his abilities.
This Jutsu is best used with a huge fan and it creates a strong shockwave that blows everything in the direction the user chooses and he chose my direction!
Of course, I wasn't going to be fazed by something like this so I took a deep breath and used my Great Fireball Jutsu sending it right at his attack.

Just as the mist was pushed back, That Chunin saw a huge fireball coming his way and when it came in contact with his wind release it only grew bigger while slowing down slightly in speed which forced the two Chunin and special Chunin to dodge breaking them out of the formation.
"Disperse!!!" Yelled the red-haired woman trying to at least save some of her teammates. However, she was quickly interrupted by my clone that was dealing with their combined assault on his own and didn't allow them to assist the rest of the group.
"No one's going to escape today" I said in an eerie voice as the moment they turned to run away. I caught up with them one by one and all the Jonin could hear was screams of fear and pain before they died down and they looked in anger at my clone.
"You bastard, I will make sure you die here today!" yelled the muscular man in anger and hatred in his eyes and the other two were the same.
*Tap*
*Tap*
*Tap*
Footsteps slowly came closer to them and they soon heard a cold voice "This is a battlefield, don't hate me for killing you because otherwise, I would be the one dying instead"
'This kid is dangerous and he even seems to be holding back, we are really in trouble' thought the sensor as he signaled to his fellow Jonin to buy as much time as possible and wait for assistance to come.
Noticing their signaling, I calmly shook my head and said "You won't be leaving this place alive so you three better put your all in this as it's your last fight!"
Seeing that none of them responded and they seemed to be clinging to some hope, I didn't bother with talking to them anymore and signaled my clone to throw my short sword at me.
I made it look like I was attacking them so the sword went straight towards the sensor's head and he barely dodged it and then it almost seemed like it was going to pass beside my head but I caught it by the handle at the last second.
"Well let's dance" I said in a humor they didn't understand as my clone dispersed to their surprise and I attacked them this time using two short swords 'I should reach level 75 in my close combat after this fight' I thought in delight as I engaged with the muscular man again.
I sent a slash at him and he raised his huge swords to his chest to block it and any prospective person could tell from his contracted and slightly shivering muscles that he was using almost all of his strength to block the attack of this kid.
'What a monster' the trio thought as they decided to use a new formation against me and they quickly surrounded me into a triangle-shaped formation.
'Oh this is new' I thought while attacking the burly man again and expecting the other two to sneak attack me from behind however that didn't happen and the burly man actually used the lightning release chakra mode to make himself stronger and faster and was able to slightly push me back to the center of the trio.
That's when I found it strange because he didn't follow up with his advantage to attack me and neither did the other two, instead he stabbed a metallic rod on the ground and dispersed the lightning around him and I saw the other two do the same, stabbing metallic rods on the ground.
'What are they doing' I thought in doubt which was quickly cleared when I saw them doing hand signs of Ox → Horse → Dragon and heard them say at the same time
"Lightning Release: Thunder Bind Jutsu!"
'Oh I fked up' was all I could think of at the sudden realization of what this was...

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
