Once we started moving, the once quiet street of the district soon gave way to the loud howls of beasts, the more we advanced in the street the city we once know kept changing more and more, with the trees along the street now that had strange energy around them, heightening three to four-meter making the street looks like if they were in an urban jungle with the grasses and tree and vine covering the buildings.

" ok first we will go and check the level of the beasts, even if you already told us approximatively their level it's always good to be sure, Chris warn us if some beasts are lurking around "

Alex said as she took Fred with Lester's group to scout the group of beasts that Jason and his friend said they met when they came here the beasts should be in sight once they enter the street.

I nodded as I sensed the surrounding with my energy but only felt small beasts like cockroaches and other really small insects roaming in the buildings around us but they weren't that much so it was ok to let them lure the first group of beasts.

-" it's clear you can go, you three be prepared once we attract this group of beasts the rest of the beasts in the area will notice us and you will have to run as we help you to cross the streets "

Sarah and Emily ready to shoot gathered energy and advanced slowly with the rest of the group following Alex and the other from behind, the others tensing too as they know that the trouble will soon come at them.

Alex and Fred, with Lester group quickly saw the group of beasts a group of rats ten of them eating the corpse of some beats beasts, the poor beasts' bodies were completely unrecognizable, Lester not feeling any pressure coming from them knew they were level six at least since although the pressure coming from and the energy he could feel now accustomed to the densities of energy of level six beasts.

they let out a painful scream as they looked toward from where the arrow came from, to only see a group of humans charging toward them but before the group of rats could do something two ice cones, the size of a fist landed on the body of two of the wounded rats, the tip of the ice cones as sharp as a blade pierced their stomach to the side and the force of the impact opened their belly their gut sliding to the ground as their body followed just after, the last one tried to escape turning ready to run only to have his ear pierced by an arrow reaching his brain killing him on the spot.

seeing three of their companion died so quickly they looked at the group of humans their anger amplified their energy to an outstanding level their muscles being filled with energy quickly tensed ready to burst at any time, four of the seven rats dashed at Alex and the others, but three of them saw the huge snake a few meters behind, and their instinct kicked in and with the small intelligence, they gained with their strengthening make them realize they couldn't win and they quickly left entering the aisle near the buildings disappearing in a split second.

The last four rats didn't know that their friends left them, charging at Lester and Adrien, but when the two guys tough the rats would jump on them two rats went each to the left and right changed their course at the last moment the rats happy of their tactics seeing the human not react, didn't notice the figure of Alex and Fred that noticed their plan and before they could escape.

Fred with his sword sliced the neck of one rat continuing at the same time his movement blocking the second rat with his shield before cutting his head off with a downward swing of his sword, his heart beating as the adrenaline quickly slowed as he took the time to check the three others behind only to see them disappear in the aisle.

Alex on the other hand just swung her hammer horizontally blowing the head of one rat like a melon and the second was crushed to the ground by the blow, and before he could get up and escape, Alex's hammer welcomed him crushing his head on the ground, his brain matter spreading everywhere and going mainly on Lester and Adrien a few feet from her, endings the same ways than his friends.

" huuu can't you kill them without having to spread their organ on others ", she heard Fred's narcissistic tone of voice as he came toward her, facking to be angry as he also got some of the brain matter on his left cheek taking it from his left and shaking his finger with a disgusted face.

Lester, Adrien, and the others weren't sure how to react since they felt completely dumb they thought those rats would attack them stupidly from the front but they underestimated the agility of the rats and almost got killed.

" ok let's go no time to lose we need to be quick" , smirking she didn't respond to him, otherwise she knows he won't stop for a long time she talked to Lester and Adrien in front of her.

they woke up when they heard Alex's voice near them shaking their head they quickly advanced.

And Fred seeing her act like that shook his head but he still kept trying to attract her attention, which in a way worked since she glanced at him from time to time but didn't respond as she waved at the others behind to advance, and Lester and the others could only grit their teeth seeing his shamelessness but be amazed that his technique indeed worked.

This time it was the turn of Claire with Philip, Eillen, and clement Group but still with two guys of Lester group with their shield to protect the front not that they complained after saying the strength of this group they kept being amazed even after fighting for them in all those fights and not getting enough kill to level up.

Jason's mind was turning at high speed as he looked at the two girls near the man with a suffocating aura around him and was amazed by their control of energy and the power in it, they should be at the same level that the strongest group in the military camp, he made a mental note to not mess up with this group as he looked at his partner and seeing they had the same look of both fear and relieve to know they wouldn't have to die to come out of this place and fear because to get so strong they had to kill a lot of monsters and it wasn't at the reach of anyone even if the people could fight.

and in the last ten minute as they slowly augmented their speed running at a pace that normal humans would feel like they were running at their max, but for them, it wasn't that hard even for those who didn't have put some of their stat points in STAMINA, and since they kept the same rhythm stopping from time to time because of some groups of rats and sometimes foxes, wolfs and cats that keep attacking them by surprise in dead angles even with Chris warning they were barely able to block them in time.

and sometimes the beasts fled as they saw that they couldn't kill those prey that looked weak but were well organized, going find other easy targets.

Being able to dodge their attack was hard and it was now that the lack of stability in their stats shows up, when they focused on running their STAMINA was lacking as they quickly felt exhausted having to fight continuously while running, making it harder for them to react in time and coordinate their movement even if they got the help of the people next to them to block the beasts before it could deal serious wounds.

when they got attacked by birds, and insects that normally they could kill easily but they soon noticed that those ones were faster than them, at least when it was about dashing in a straight line they were so fast that they could barely defend their exposed body with their ragged clothes making them feel naked.

quickly being once again full of slight wounds as they were still able to dodge but not enough to escape completely unscathed, but after Chris and Edward, Lisa and John came in front the situation quickly calmed down the pressure emanating from them, the low-level insects quickly dispersed as they felt their life being threatened and only the level five and six could stand their pressure and their speed were fiercer and their arms like blade sharper cutting their skin like butter.

As they slashed at the insects coming out of the buildings, being now as big as a formerly house cat, their hideous faces and mandibles opened wide showing ranges of teeth like sharks or pythons and the putrid smell of sewers coming from them making them look rather disgusting than terrifying,

And as they focused on the street on the aisle and the street sewers they could see that there were insects coming out from their too, making some of them almost throw up their lunch.

Slashing at the flying insects like mosquito and other insects I sensed them, and indeed those one were stronger than he incests we met in the inner west district.

now they noticed that even if they distract a group of beasts for Jason and his friend to run, a few streets after they could get killed by a small group of four boars or chickens on the side of a car that bumped in their way before they could notice or being overwhelmed by a group of insect.

Shiiishhh!!!, the sound of Sarah ice cone after effect resounded in the street as a bunch of ten or so bugs transformed into ice statues.

- " stooop it's not funny ", Sarah tried to act as brave she could, responded with a low tone, but her hands and body that kept shaking at the see of the insects were betraying her, but she wasn't the only one in this situation.

Louise and Stella were in the same state as they retreated behind staying close to Lisa snake as the insects seemed not wanting to come near him, first because the insects were too fast to kill, even if with just one swing of their sword they could cut them in half, they lacked in speed like everyone leading to this state where they advanced slowly killing so many insects that came at them from the top floor buildings and the ground floor of the buildings determined to kill those strong human and get stronger making them slow down the other.

But the group quickly regrouped and advanced in synchro not stopping even with the insects increase and in less than two minutes after crossing to three more buildings the number of insects that were still following them subsided.

and now they decide instead to keep running and by now they were almost out of the west district they just had to pass two to three more buildings and they should be able to finish their job.

the group was now resting in an aisle between two buildings of three catching their breath after just escaping three groups of beasts with each at least a dozen of members.

With the number of beasts, they met in the streets that kept increasing even if they could try to use the aisle to lose some of them those with a sensible nose could quickly catch up with them handing in a fight in the aisle where they killed of the group that chased before the last one a group of pig given up.

it was crazy to think that the herbivore could now eat meat like if it was natural for them or it was just that they wanted just to kill humans, not that I could not understand them if they got some intelligence the grudge of saying your family gets killed or taken elsewhere and the human acting like if it as normal for their own pleasure, I would become crazy too.

I looked at the street and the destroyed buildings, now let place to an open place that led to the high road of the city center once they can pass crossroad that led to the two different districts to the east and west but his instinct was telling him to back up, as he felt something was looking at him but he couldn't find where it was and with his energy perception working only in two-meter range it means that the beats were somewhere among the buildings that lead to the city suburbs or to the east district.

" Stop we don't know what they are capable of, maybe it's some kind of monster like the Cleaymors so we better be careful and instead go heal those that got serious wounds like that at least they could fight at full capacity"

I said as I grabbed her hand making her stop her energy gathering, as she looked at me her eyes filled with doubt she was about to ask him why only to have the response just after.

" We will back up two buildings behind I didn't feel any of the beasts in my range so it should be enough to block their view and make them think we left and after that, we will let Jason and his group leave alone...... "

- " you want to kill them you just said that you felt something dangerous watching us and now you want to send them alone " she only understood the part of leaving Jason and looked at him with disbelieve.

Seeing how she reacted I thought why I even explained it to her.

' it's why I don't like to talk with people too exhausting mentally.........'

I thought inwardly shaking my head before explaining my plan to everyone as we rested recovering and taking some snacks to stop our hunger but it was worth the hunger became stronger making everyone frown but they kept their though on something to not think about food for now.

And Sarah after hearing his plan calmed down, looking at him with guilt to make assumptions and accusing him like that, I waved my hand at her knowing she didn't mean it that way, just wanting to be right.

after she also finished drinking water with a dried sausage and a pan to make it easier to swallow her face bitter to think that it was the only thing still edible, and once she was sure that Jason and the others weren't looking in her direction she took those with deep wounds further in the aisle as she healed them, at least she didn't forget what he said about not showing her healing skill, she thought as she looked at his back as he watched with Edward and the others surroundings.

And everyone was warned to act normally to not attract their attention and although they weren't sure why Chris decided this they didn't argue too much wanting only to stop the pain coming from their wounds before the next fight and not hinder the group and rest to digest the small amount of food they ate.
