《How am I Supposed to Save This World with No Power?》Chapter 116: Capture The House

"There it is!"
The massive chariot glided through the air like a kite as its head is pointed at one of the many tropical islands over the ocean. In a matter of minutes, they have already dropped far enough that the looming structure of the Academy was completely hidden on the other side of the clouds.
As more and more islands and patches of ocean passed underneath them, one eventually showed itself in isolation, and there was no doubt that they are nearing their destination from the trajectory of the massive chariot.
"Right, remember our plan." Wu said, looking at the group, "Ver, Lera, Augen, you start on Lera's chariot first while me and Fatera move out on foot. Ver, you will serve as someone that could Whirlpool Purple your way in between the two groups just in case. Everyone, stay on the comms, and make a dash for the house."
"Comms?" Fatera raised her eyebrows.
"Communication Casts." Lera added, handing over thin pieces of fabric before they each looped it around their ears, "I made them to fit as a earpiece, just as Wu asked."
"Excellent!" Wu said excitedly, tapping a circular symbol on the page of the Cast and activating it with firm pressure, "Comms check."
"I can hear you." Ver nodded, "This is very cool, Lera."
"As expected." Fatera smiled, slapping Lera on the shoulder proudly before she opened the window, "Now! Who wants a head start?!"
With her feet half dangling out from the window, Fatera then heard Yuna's voice came through.
"HEY?! Are you trying to cheat?!" Yuna said, her foot also half-dangling out of the window.
"If ya aren't, why are ya out here?" Fatera shot back.
"I...ugh...just getting some fresh air! Matty stinks!" Yuna said, scratching the side of her face awkwardly before moving her body out even further. Then, Fatera caught Lily's flaming body leaping out of the chariot and down towards the island still hundreds of meters down and away.
"Anyway, talk to you later, suckers!" Yuna laughed, leaning out of the chariot and jumping off as Braka, Matty, and Shin all followed suit. Matty drew on his Manifestation and conjured up a massive eagle which the rest of the three landed on, and it let out a long howl before flapping its wings, soaring down towards their destination.
"They are already off!" Fatera turned around and shouted, "I am going after them!"
"So let's get some aerial combat going then!" Wu smiled, his heart pumping hard as he had never taken flight at such a height with his suit, though he did include an emergency parachute just in case anything funky happens, and he had included a special Cast which should create solid Wave-construct wings in case the parachute fails.

"Maybe I need to make a wind tunnel to test out the flight powers soon..." Wu murmured as Fatera jumped out from the window, her excited cheer lingering in the air before her body became fully coated with her crimson-colored wave armour. She stomped hard, shock waves forming under her feet before they expanded to propel her body forward. An explosion rocked the carriage, and Fatera left it behind while diving towards the eagle Manifest like a missile.
"See you on the ground, one way or another~" Wu turned and smiled before he also dived out of the window. That was when the entire chariot Cast dissipated, and Lera, Ver, and Augen all started free-falling.
"Car!" Lera screamed, creating the chariot underneath them and catching Augen. However, Ver's body dropped right off the outer edge of the chariot as Augen rushed to the side of the chariot, his fingers gripped tightly around the handrails.
"VER!" Augen shouted, when a pool of purple liquid formed over bottom of the chariot before Ver emerged from within.
"Nice try, Lera." Ver smirked, "Trying to get rid of a rival already?"
"I knew you could get back here." Lera smiled back before piloting the chariot and chasing after the groups ahead.
In the meanwhile, the luggage of all ten students was contained in a shield Cast before it dropped all the way into the ocean and bounced its way towards the beach like a pinball.
"YEEHAWWW!" Fatera shouted, her voice cutting through the air as her body glided towards the eagle Manifest before Yuna spun around on it with a smile on her face too.
"Come on!" Yuna shouted, "Fight me!"
Twisting her feet in place, Yuna pumped her Wave out of her body, filling up her lean frame before letting out a roar and leaping towards Fatera, "Surging Tiger: King of the Jungle!"
A faint white glow covered her body, and she clashed against Fatera, their collision rocking the air around and creating a massive blast of air which actually pushed the eagle Manifest further towards the house in the middle of the islands.
As Fatera and Yuna clashed in the air, their arms and fists exchanging blows and creating loud BANGS that sounded like thunder, Wu had propelled his body so quickly through the air that he blasted straight past the eagle Manifest without even looking at them.
Wu briefly turned back, and he caught Matty's glance before he smiled and looked away. For some reason, they seemed okay to let Wu fight against Lily on his own. It's not like he has a solid chance of winning from his glorious track record, but with his Void Domain, he will at least gain enough of an advantage to get to the House first, which was the end goal of the first game.

"Be careful, they ignored me." Wu warned through the communication channel.
"That's because they are onto us!" Ver said, as Lera rapidly steered her chariot around to avoid the eagle's surge towards them, "They plan to separate you with us!"
"I will make sure Lily doesn't get to the objective first. I trust you to finish them off!" Wu shouted, accelerating forward once again as the wind rushed past his ear.
Lily barrel rolled over as the island's treeline closed in on the two, and she projected her hands outward, creating a wall of flames that obscured the line of sight in front of Wu.
"Shit! I am going too fast to..." Wu grunted, slowing his movements and shielding his face as he rammed straight through the wall of flames, flashes of burning pain came through his hands and fingers before the rushing wind cooled it all down.
Then, He saw Lily condensing a ball of flames in between her hands before it was all released with Wu still dazed from the wall of flames. He caught Lily's confident smile through the fire Manifest all over her body, and she opened her mouth, the devastating attack unleashed right in front of Wu's body, "Flame Rocket!"
"Void Domain Special!" Wu shouted, turning his wrist towards Lily and activating the Cast that had been tattooed onto his body as the warmth from the Wave became pumped over the dark tracks on his skin. The Flame Rocket was sniffed out instantly, and Lily's flames were completely snatched away as she looked back at Wu with a shocked expression.
Still able to use his own circuits through the tiny gaps in Void Domain Special, Wu spun his body around, wrapped his hands around Lily before the two of them crashed through layers of tree branches and landed hard on the ground. Instinctively, Wu held onto Lily's body just as he could to break a fall of his opponent during a basketball game, and when their momentum finally stopped, he felt a pair of soft spheres pressed against his face.
Boing~Boing~
"Huh?" Wu blinked a few times, raising his head when he saw Lily's face red and her eyes unfocused. Her soft body rested on his arms, and Wu had just planted his face firmly in her impressive cleavage, "Ah shit. Sorry."
"Very gentleman-like." Lily smiled before she turned her wrist towards Wu and blasted him with a flash of flames. Wu was able to activate Bubble bubble in time and avoided taking any damage. However, Lily had already ran off into the woods as Wu chased right on after him.
Back up in the aerial battle, Yuna and Fatera wrestled as Fatera quickly came to realize the increase in Yuna's strength.
"Hard mode!" Fatera said, letting more of the Wave pour out uncontrollably from her body before she tried overpower Yuna just like before. However, Yuna yielded without breaking, pinning Fatera's arms in place when Braka's looming shadow appeared behind Fatera.
"Behind you!" Ver warned, reaching her hand forward and sending forth a Kraken's tendril to swipe Braka away when Matty immediately duplicated her move, creating a tendril of his own before those slimy squid arms clashed, splattering droplets of black oil everywhere.
"What?!" The Kraken sounded disgusted when it caught onto Matty's new move, "He copied me?! How?"
"Look closely!" Ver said, seeing through Matty's disguise, "It's only similar in form!"
“Yet strong enough to withstand the real thing…” The Kraken remarked, sounding slightly annoyed.
"You won't have your way!" Lera said, using the chariot itself as a base to house her Cast Array before she launched an array of Wave Orbs towards Braka's backside. The attacks split his skin open but also granted him more power as he drew his hands forward and slammed onto Fatera's body.
His attacks were far stronger than before, and Fatera's body was thrown straight down into the ocean before Braka and Yuna both dived towards her, aiming to suppress the strongest member on the opposing team.
That means there is a three on two with Augen, Ver and Lera against Matty Joel, the duplication Manifester and Shin Takumi, Lily's second in command. As he stood tall on the massive eagle, Lily's voice suddenly came through their own communication Cast.
"It's over." She said, looking down at the unconscious body of Wu as she sat down on the stairs behind her, "We have won."
Then, she said the same things using Wu's own communication Cast, as Ver and Lera became frozen in place.
"Guess you will have to do the chores." Matty laughed, his hands resting on his hips as the eagle slowed its trajectory and went down to pick up Fatera, Braka, and Yuna as they were all drenched by the sea water.
Practically getting a head start on the island training. Better yet, the drenched clothes also made quite a few.
Overall, the battle was decided in a hurry, and the margin for error was so small that Augen didn't even have a chance to do anything. Additionally, Lily was able to defeat Wu towards the finish line, and Fatera was briefly overpowered by Yuna and Braka, no thanks to Lera's untimely attacks...Looking back, the main group have a lot of work to do to be able to fight together as a unit.
But before that, chores.
