《An Adventure Beyond Greatness!》Balancing The New Physique

'Wait.' Seeing that he had become too emotional after his talk with the spearman, Alex calmed himself down. You couldn't persuade someone without hearing their side of the story, and there was something else he forgot to ask in his haste...
This being the state of his body. Knowing this, he walked back into his room... only to find a note:
{The first day will start tomorrow. Take your time preparing your mind for it.} Samuel was gone, and there didn't seem to be anything suspicious from seeing the handwriting… being identical to his own.
Although he could understand what it meant, the smaller words that came later confused him:
{P.S. Learn how to use your God Centre and teach it to Lily. She was affected by Simian's Mechanical Aeon before she was born.} This part immediately made his eyes as round as saucers. He felt the absurdity in those words. What did he mean?
The scholarly freak thought about it for a bit, then realised that after crossing the void to get to Gaia in his Mechanical Aeon body, there was still the skill that he had yet to see any traces of this...
The Mechanical Aeon Reincarnation Art wasn't supposed to turn him into an 'Anomaly'. That itself seemed to be Gaia's doing... but why did she help him rather than stop him from gaining more power?
He could also feel that Samuel had also deeply tempered with his body... Alex used his Runic Insight on himself and watched as the world turned colourless through his vision. The only things left being the 'colour' of Attributes he could see.
'Amazing...' His jaw couldn't help but drop a little, as he was amazed at his future self. To think the 'Blood Refining Bone Pulse' and 'Bone Tempering Blood Ripple' could evolve to such an extent...!
How did he even pass onto him something that should have taken decades to master completely?
It was as if he practiced it since 'this life' began...
No, it wasn't just that. Even the basic Western 'Muscle Hardening' Method and Eastern 'Vein Softening' Method was evolved to the point that it allowed him to essentially attain a 'God Physique'.
Or could his current Physique even be called that?
A dark maroon hue covered his flesh, signifying the deep Space Attribute, while his meridians along with other veins were covered in a silver hue, which signified the Time Attribute imbued into his body.
Though what surprised him most was the last two changes to his body, to the point he realised how Samuel was expecting him to bring out his abilities as a Gaia Human without advice...
There was a black 'Human Flame' burning deep within his magic blood. Contrastingly, his marrow seemed to be dyed white with the Light Attribute despite currently in a strange state of being...
If he quantified his abilities, it would look like this:
{Blood Bone Divine Physique/ Devilish Physique:
Blackened Blood- Magic Flame
Whitened Marrow- Magic Pathways
Spacial Flesh- ???
Time Veins- ???}
He had no clue what powers his Spacial Attribute imbued muscles and Time Attribute imbued veins held, but it seemed like he would no longer be able to use Vectors and Fundamental Forces on himself.
Trying to apply those Runes on his body now will only make it blend into his 'Devilish Physique'.
He was in a state between an Earthling and Gaia Human, between Mortal and a 'divine' being'
So no matter what, it's couldn't be stated how…
…recklessly messing with the balance of the Attributes imbued into his body was to him.

It was ill-advised…
He could probably use their purest forms just like how the Shadow Skills and Light Skills he knew acted due to his Devilish Physique, but he definitely couldn't bring out Forces or Vectors.
Alex could feel that he really needed to form this so-called 'God Centre' in his body as soon as he could, or else he'd explode once these internal energies suffered even the smaller imbalance.
He sat down in a mediative position on his bed and started to circulate his breath. He was absolutely sure the basic Breath Circulation method would work in his current body. After all, 'Qi' wasn't much different from Mana or Ether due to one aspect.
As it was a pure form of 'Life Energy', there was no problem in gathering it up inside the body in order to increase a person's lifespan.
It also didn't clash with the other energies within him due to having no inherent 'Attribute', making it easy to blend with the Life Energies within him that did.
He gathered Life Energy from the surroundings manually rather than relying on his Magic Pathways to attract Ether.
Qi Centres we're located in the dantian area of the body and were the staple for any modern or ancient Martial Artist of Earth. Just having it allowed one better control over their strength.
It focused life energy to the 'core' of one's being and was highly compatible with most martial arts.
Techniques such as Step Methods and other 'Arts' classified as advanced forms of Qi Manipulation inside the body. Once created, it acted as the foundation for a Martial Artist's future potential.
Alex could feel his lungs on the verge of bursting as he realised that he underestimated how much Life Energy (Internal Qi) his current body could intake from his surroundings. He could also feel his body strengthening like that of a Humanoid Beast...
{Dark Human- Magic Flame:
• Racial Ability- Strong Physique}
{Light Beast- Magic Pathways:
• Racial Ability- Gaia Affinity}
The explanation arose in his closed eyes.
He felt more deeply connected with the external elemental energies than ever before...!
A crackling sound could be heard all over his body.
His muscle density increased with the purity of his Dark Mana. A fortunate outcome for him.
Perhaps his destiny was taking effect…
A similar thing happened with his Magic Pathways.
He believed that he could sense nature more clearly as long as his Light Attribute grew much more stronger. This made him curious about the nature of his 'Spacial Flesh' and 'Time Veins'...
Why did Samuel give his Devilish Physique the latter two Attributes when he knew there was only so much 'room' inside his body? He could feel his very existence becoming much more disconnected from reality, but internal energies were stabilising.
The amount of Life Energy that started to store up in 'dantian' seemed heavy enough. Alex's entire regenerative abilities from his Blood Bone Divine Physique had focused there, creating an almost membrane-like 'core' around his deep Internal Qi.
'So this is the God Centre...' The scholarly freak was surprised to find that despite his efforts, the new source of energy he formed into his body didn't seem as 'mouldable' as a normal Qi Centre.
The location of this power source also shifted from his dantian area (location bellow belly button) to his heart. Then he felt his God Centre reacting to new balance that was achieved through its creation as his Devilish Physique's Attributes seeped into it.
"Urgh...!" The sensation was once again an unpleasant experience as felt something was being naturally 'born' from his God Centre, just like how a Body Essence was born from a Beast Flame.

The sounds of metal scraping against each other could be heard as he remembered a memory from his past life. He felt a similar sensation back at his last moments... just before he fell to his death.
Back then, as he was falling to his doom, he used his Ki Meridians to form the vessel for him to ascend to the Divine Realm, then moved onto intrinsically 'installing' everything else about him.
He used his Psion Circuits to pass over his mental capacity, moved onto stacking 'emotions' by implanting his Aura Gate as its heart, then started downloading his memories into the Mechanical Aeon, before finally giving it all his 'Life Energy'.
The last act he did was the final touch that used his past life's Attributes to meld it all together. It was only after doing so did his aged body slowly started to disintegrate along with his existence.
The Mechanical Aeon Reincarnation Art was much more than an art to cross dimensions. It altered the state of a Martial Artist's Life Energy irreversibly to create a vessel that was fuelled by the Qi Centre.
Flames of Internal Qi expelled out of his back into pillar that slowly ate away at his current form.
His Lightened Marrow seeped out of his body before forming the hardware of the Mech while his Darkened Blood, Space Flesh and Time Veins became the rest of the Mechanical Aeon. A string of information entered his mind at that moment.
{Godly Divinity- Mechanical Aeon
• Racial Skill- Symbiotic Resonance
Artificial Class- Combat Mech
• Class Skill- Entrapment Drones
• Class Skill- Armour Transformation}
It was just like a Spirit Essence, except he knew why he was considered an 'Anomaly' by the laws of Gaia after experiencing it himself. He could feel the potential of his new body as his senses were translated into different mechanical equipment.
His eyes were like digital cameras, his ears were like the finest audio recorders, his mouth was like a megaphone or speaker, and his nose was like futuristic odour detector. He felt so 'alive' and yet so artificial at the same time when trying to fuse his senses with the Aeon... Almost as if his new robotic body was his natural state of existence.
His flesh and blood reformed as he started to return to his original form after getting a clear feel for his body. It felt like a reverse of the process from before as even his clothes had 'reformed'.
He took some deep breaths before realising that this so-called 'Godly Divinity' wasn't within his full control either. The scholarly freak tried to shift back into his 'Mechanical Aeon form' again, but found himself unable to do it after a few attempts...
The Godly Divinity settled into his body and stabilised his internal energies to a degree he hadn't thought possible. Though he actually felt disappointed that he couldn't use it properly...
'This will need training...' Alex realised.
Even a Partial Transformation of his body will be useful considering those Class Skills he saw.
He was interested in whether he could balance his new physical qualities with 'Arts' in martial arts!
It would take time and effort for him to grow.
However, the scholarly freak was unable to leave the situation as it was... Especially since gaining nothing he could use practically after regaining his memories would be too much of a disappointment.
It made him look for a solution so he could quickly find something he could teach to his friend's friend.
'I have to become stronger so THAT does not happen again.' He remembered how if it wasn't for Gaia showing him mercy near the end, he wouldn't have been able to reincarnate into this world.
The more he knew about the Will of Gaia, the more he was confused as to why she allowed him and Lily to become Anomalies at all. The 'librarian' was entirely capable of erasing them, but she instead let them be and allowed them to be naturally born.
He could smell a conspiracy was taking place, but at his current power, he wouldn't be able to do anything even if that was the case, so he chose to do all he could in order to get stronger.
That's why... he chose to reform his 'Combat Gift'.
Remembering the 'Armament Art' he used as a basis to turn his inner Attributes into spiritually tethered weapons, he used it again using his God Centre. This allowed him form his 'Gift' once again.
Alex felt less pain this time as his internal energies started to tremor. He kneeled over while holding onto his shoulders as 'armaments' started to be created out of his body one step at a time.
Since he couldn't rely on his Blood Bone Divine Physique anymore for regeneration, he decided to use this technique to create armaments he could use to protect himself just like everyone else in this world had Spirit Essences to confidently rely on
His Combat Gift might be just a degraded version of what Spirit Essences were considering its lack of an added bonus like a 'Class', but they would fair better in durability than his NAC NAC Metal Bat.
After all, one could be easily brought out of the body while the other needed to be pulled out of his Personal Space using a Dark Rune and had to be properly maintained even if it WAS enchanted.
His Qi Armaments were also a lot better at naturally and intrinsically 'connecting with' than other weapons, as they were an extension of his 'Life' rather than wholly separate existences from him.
With that in mind, he formed his first 'Arm'.
The Dark Mana within his body was refined to its absolute limited before a gorgeous-looking rapier with a nice handle started to 'grow' out of his back from his Blackened Blood. It gave off a clear sense of density, similar to how dense his flesh became.
The Light Ether already converted to Mana within his Whitened Marrow started to change shape and be tempered as a sharp edge of a katana started to be formed. It had a simple yet luxurious-looking handle as if the katana was meant for a Samurai.
Then came the last two Qi Armaments he hadn't been expecting after those two 'grew' out of his Devilish Physique and hit the floor. He could feel that these two were rather unstable though, so he decided to use Rune to strengthen them a little.
After lifting his head, he stretched out his hands and watched as two Qi Armaments formed from his Spacial Flesh and Time Veins. A familiar set of sword and shield that he was more familiar with using than rapiers or katanas on Earth.
It made him reminisce about his father and the Sword Arts that had been passed down to him. It was nostalgic when he thought about the techniques he would be able to pull off now.
He now didn't have to rely on his Higher Forces to use his Sword Arts and Shield Arts anymore~
This was the biggest benefit he received...

And when the world was gone, he remained. This is his tale. I take 0% credit for the title picture. I just pasted stuff together and did the best I could with a mac touchpad.

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.

Sage Fall
Out of hiatus, but with a hitch. . Read most recent "chapter", Status Update, for more info. Trapped for thousands of years. Betrayed by the ones he held dear, the ones he called family. Finally set free by happenstance, Amrin sets out to find the ones that locked him in the heart of a mountain. Find the answers he's been asking himself while conscious within the darkness. The world has changed in his time away. Learning new things, meeting new people, struggling with questions he may never get the answers to. He will journey through this new world and search for the "family" that betrayed him and figure out why they did it. If they did not have the answers he was looking for, there would be consequences. *This is a VERY HEAVY story driven fiction (read: can be slow!). There are some sections of action, drama and soon/eventually, mature related content (sexuality and gore). There are going to be sections with lots of text and little dialogue. There's going to be sections with lots of dialogue and little descriptive narration. ***Word of warning and advice. To save yourself the potential disappointment! The MC is mostly a pacifist! If you're looking for a super OP protagonist that uses his powers to get what he wants and to hell with the consequences, this story IS NOT for you. There are times when it should be obvious why, other's it's only implied. Either way, if you are expecting "shoot first ask questions later" mentality from the MC, regardless of how powerful he is, save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere. I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all the readers and commenters of my story. It's all the positive feedback and comments that really give me the motivation to keep going. Honestly. It sounds cheesy, but it's true. So, again. Thank you!
