Supreme Lord Chapter 73

Recently the Redcloud Sect had been very lively and everyone talked about the crazy events that happened several days ago.
Gu Qingfeng had swept all twelve prime disciples!
Mu Zibai, the former chief of the prime disciples, along with other two people knelt down in front of Gu Qingfeng and were too afraid to even fight him. Li Zheng, the second most powerful prime disciple, had his Colored Spirit Protection destroyed by one kick.
Even Li Ziheng, an outer sect elder who had cultivated for dozens of years was crippled by a few slaps from Gu Qingfeng!
Although everyone knew that Gu Qingfeng’s body had mutated and became extraordinarily powerful, no one had ever imagined that his physique would be so strong. Moreover, they had no idea just what was his limit,
Just as the crowd was discussing the crazy events that happened at the battle of the prime disciples, Elder Rende made an even crazier announcement, “In a few days, Gu Qingfeng would participate in the examination for direct disciples.”
Everyone knew that since Gu Qingfeng had become the new chief of prime disciples, he had all the qualifications necessary to participate in this examination. Moreover, they were also sure that he could pass it since he crippled Li Ziheng with just a few slaps.
However, passing the examination wasn’t all it took to become a direct disciple because there was still a test supervised by the official elders. An examinee’s character, resilience, and wisdom would all be tested.
The status of a direct disciple was too important so the sect was naturally very strict since the future of the Redcloud Sect was at stake. One could imagine how difficult was the examination since someone like Mu Zibai who had a Colored Spirit Formation still could not pass it.
Moreover, even if one passed the examination, it didn’t mean that he could become a direct disciple. In the entire Redcloud Sect, there were only nine direct disciples, so ultimately, if you wanted to become one, you had to defeat one of those nine people.
Although these rules might seem strict, they had always been like this, ever since more than 1,000 years ago when the Redcloud Sect was founded and they were there to ensure the quality of the direct disciples.

The struggle for becoming a direct disciple was extremely intense and if someone slacked over, he could immediately be replaced by a young genius. This happened with Guang Yuan and Fei Xue in the past, who had been direct disciples but were replaced by someone younger.
Nowadays, all nine direct disciples were geniuses among geniuses! All of them had established their true bodies, and some of them even reached the Purple Mansion Realm.
They all had Colored Foundations, Colored True Bodies and some were like Ouyang Ye and had a powerful bloodline. All of their basic immortal arts were either at the major cycle level or at the major cycle level, and each and every one of the direct disciples had a terrifying comprehension. Someone as ordinary as Li Ziheng was not a match for them.
With their Colored Foundation and Colored True Bodies, they were not afraid of anyone and they could take on four or five cultivators at the True Body Realm.
—
At night, it was completely dark and the wind was turbulent.
Fei Xue, along with several other elders and deacons were sitting inside a hall in the Redcloud Sect. In the center of them was a slightly fat old man with a serious expression. His eyes were currently closed and it appeared as if he was resting.
He was none other than Shuide, an official elder of the Redcloud Sect.
Everyone present here were the people he had trained over the last years.
“It looks like that Gu brat is the successor that Huode chose.” Shuide kept his eyes closed and spoke. As soon as he started talking, everyone inside the hall became quiet.
The crowd nodded.
Because of Huode’s recent behavior and Rende’s latest announcement, everyone guessed that Gu Qingfeng was the successor chosen by Elder Huode.
“Do you know who that brat is?”
Everyone looked at each other in confusion, clearly unaware of the answer to this question. They suddenly remembered the rumors about Ouyang Ye and Gu Qingfeng and they all looked at Daoist Fei Xue.
“I asked Yeye and she only said that she first met him on the road. She doesn’t know who he is.”

“Daoist Fei Xue, is he that Young Master Bloodflame that Ouyang Ye fell in love with at first sight?”
Daoist Fei Xue pondered for a moment and shook her head in response, ”Although Yeye has been vehemently denying it, it looks like she’s just trying to protect him. However,
whether he is really Young Master Bloodflame or nor doesn’t matter. I’ve told Yeye to cut off all ties with him.”
“That’s true, it doesn’t matter. The only thing that’s important is his condition. It’s impossible for a mutant body to be this strong.”
“Elder Mude had personally inspected him a month ago and concluded that he really failed his Foundation Establishment and his body mutated. The only possibility I can think of is Huode. He must’ve used some strange formation on him which strengthened his body.”
That was very possible.
Everyone knew that Huode was fond of studying strange formations and had actually strengthened a person’s body in the past.
“I’m afraid that with his strong body, passing the examination for direct disciple wouldn’t be hard. If he-”
Before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Shuide’s cold snort, “It doesn’t matter who he is or how strong his body is. I would not let him become a direct disciple! It looks like Huode is getting more and more delusional since he found a successor at this late time.”
Shuide stood up and opened his eyes, “Forget about that brat for now. There’s no I would let him become a direct disciple. And Jinde won’t allow it either. Our biggest enemy is still Jinde.”
“Elder Shuide, may I ask what is the Nineglory Alliance planning?”
“They want us to wait.”
“Wait for what? We have to do everything in our power to seize the successor position. Don’t tell me the alliance won’t help us suppress Jinde when he attacks?”
“There are many families and factions behind Jinde, and I’ve heard that he even invited Ancestor Qing Chan to help him seize the successor position. The Nineglory Alliance also said they can’t help us publicly so we must be careful.”
Just as they were talking, a tall and handsome man suddenly walked in. His entire demeanor was extraordinary and he slightly bowed in front of Shuide, “Greetings, master.”
Shuide was surprised, My good disciple, when did you exist seclusion?”
“I’ve just exited it.”
Everyone present knew that this man was Zong Tianying, a direct disciple. He was known as a dragon among men and had a Colored Foundation and a Colored True Body, which granted him a two-layered Colored Spirit Protection.
His cultivation base was also exceptionally good and he was at the ninth level of the True Body Realm, only one step away from reaching the Purple Mansion Realm.
“How’s the cultivation of the Overarching Furious Elephant Art going?”
“I’ve not disappointed you master, I’ve already practiced it to the minor accomplishment level.”
Upon hearing Zong Tianying’s words, shocked expressions appeared of the faces of everyone present here, because they all knew that the Overarching Furious Elephant Art was a yellow level martial skill.
Just like a basic martial skill, a yellow level martial skill contained 81 profundities, but these profundities were much more complex and powerful than the ones in a basic martial skill.
Because of this, it was said that comprehending a single profundity from a yellow level martial skill was more difficult than practicing a basic martial skill to the minor cycle level.
If you practice hard and diligently, you would be able to cultivate a basic martial skill to the major cycle one day, but when it came to a yellow level martial skill, it wasn’t a matter of effort, but of comprehension. If your comprehension level wasn’t high enough, you wouldn’t have any progress even after 100 years of cultivation.
Many of the deacons and elders present here had cultivated the Overarching Furious Elephant Art for decades, and some people did it even for hundreds of years. But even so, they barely reached the elementary level.
That was why they were so shocked after hearing that Zong Tianying had practiced the Overarching Furious Elephant Art to the minor accomplishment level.

Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Legacy (vrmmo game)
Is currently being rewritten. Darius is a guy with no friends because the friends of his friends don't like him and so he has no friends. Legacy, a vrmmo game, is the first of its kind to actually look like the fantasy games kids dream of. Darius gets the game, planning to just have fun and maybe get some friends. Unfortunately, he's the protagonist, so yeahhhh shit's gonna happen He chooses the mage class which is often ridiculed for its low health and high MP costs. And he somehow becomes the top player within the game... There is gonna be fucking profanity because books where the protagonist is like "fiddlesticks" when they fuck up are stupid and targeted at kids that haven't gone thru puberty yet. And yes, there will be gore. Otherwise what's the point of these games? The cover is not mine and I don't own it okay I just got it off one of those sites rate this if you feel like it

There will be classes, spells, magic, and more. About classes, they will be somewhat close to LitRPG but the focus won't be on them. They will be used as means, not the focus. You could say that it has a slow start, but it is more that Arons progress will be somewhat slow. And it takes him some time to adapt and find a way to improve. Daily updates for the first fifteen or so chapters. At that point, I will most likely have to reduce it. To something more manageable.
