The Legendary Rebuilding of a World by a Realist Demon King Chapter 49
Kobold Ninja Hanzo
Eve brought me a list of materials.
And then I selected the ones that would allow me to summon a monster that could hide and was quick.
Black iron ore from the north.
Wings of a rock bird.
The beak of a falcon.
Whiskers of a male cat.
And other materials like that.
“I do feel like we should be able to summon something stealthy with this.”
“Yes, I agree.”
Said Eve.
There was a pot within the castle that was called a Klein bottle. Putting materials in and sending energy into it allowed you to create monsters and other materials.
Eve was the first product that came from it.
“I have wondered for some time. Did all monsters in this world come from such pots?”
Eve shook her head.
“It is possible that the first monsters did. But now monsters increase in numbers through mating. This had been so for so long, that the majority of monsters in this world were born here.”
In any case, there was no actually reliable data.
“I see. Well, I doubt there would be enough materials in the world to populate the world anyway.”
Yes, I should have known that.
“But are there any differences in monsters that are created here and the ones that are born?”
“In general, no. But monsters you create will be weakened or even die if your core is destroyed.”
“Hmm. Yes, I did see that with Demon King Eligos.”
“Yes.”
“The undead fell once the supply of magic was cut off.”
“Undead are uncertain and unbalanced beings. They cannot remain active without a Demon King’s power.”
“Are you like that too, Eve?”

“No, I am a demon after all. I would be able to fight without magic from the core.”
But, she continued.
“Though, I know it is impossible, if you were to die, master, then I will have to die too. Our fates shall be the same.”
“Well, I have no intention of dying.”
“I should hope not.”
“Very well. I promise to try my best and stay alive.”
I said. And then Eve brought some herb tea.
The distinct herb teas in this world had rich smells but were also subtly sweet.
I always wanted to enjoy this mild sweetness, and so I never had any sugar added to it.
Of course, Eve remembered this, so I did not have to remind her every time.
And so I enjoyed my tea while selecting materials and putting them in the Klein bottle.
The process wasn’t completely random, and the type of monster you got would change depending on what you used.
The will of the summoner also had an effect, so you could get a good idea of what type you would get.
And so I used summoning books from the castle library for reference and tried to imagine a monster that was good with stealth.
“—Stealth. All in black. An assassin or ninja.”
This was ordinary summoning and not Soul Summoning, and so I would not get a Hero from it. But still, I wanted a capable spy.
And so I hoped for one as I tossed in permafrost obsidian and the eye of a panther.
The combination of these two was mostly inspiration. So who knew how it would go?
I concentrated on the Klein bottle.
It was now surrounded by an ominous aura and there was something like electricity flashing.
If smoke rose from the pot, that meant you succeeded, but you wouldn’t know what it was until the smoke cleared.

Some Demon Kings found the whole thing very tedious, but I did not hate it.
If anything, it was exciting.
The smoke rose and then parted. And there was a group of what I had expected.
No, even more.
And they were all dressed in black.
It wasn’t the black clothes that assassins wore in this world. They wore what they would have worn in Japan.
I looked at their status.
Name: Hanzo
Rarity: Legend Rare ★★★★★
Race: Elder Kobold
Job: Ninja
Combat Ability: 745
Skills: Conceal, Assassinate, Poison Knowledge, Patience, Information Gathering, Disguise.
There was one kobold who seemed to represent them. He had black fur.
I could tell from a glance that he was no novice.
According to his status, he was a five-star Legend Rare.
That was the same as Eve.
And so I knew he was good.
I then talked to this kobold called Hanzo.
“Is that your name, Hanzo?”
“It is…”
His answer was like Eve, but sounded older.
“You will be working for me from now on. Do you have a problem with that?”
“I do not. However, I am well aware of my own capabilities as a professional. Doing intelligence work will mean I may not always be able to follow your every order.”
“As long as you bring results.”
“I am glad that you understand, Demon King. In that case, I and my team will swear allegiance to you, Demon King Ashtaroth!”
He said as he went down on his knee.
Then the others followed him.
There were ten of them including him. The others had much lower rarity levels, but they seemed quite loyal to their leader.
They looked reliable.
And that was how I created a team to specialize in intelligence.
Along with the spy slimes and a few other humans who were suited for the job, they should become a very capable team.
I would send spies into my own city to find enemy spies.
Other spies would live in enemy cities and acquire information.
And others would travel the world and learn.
Sometimes they may be sent to assassinate enemy generals.
It was dirty work, but Hanzo seemed like the type who would enjoy it.
“…Ninjas are those who hide. They are not warriors, but they must be loyal.”
That was their policy.
Perhaps they would be just as loyal as Eve was.
I was glad to have such subordinates.
I would put them to good use in my plan of total domination.

Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.

Beaten but victorious, while floating through the outer orbit of Viltrum, Frei entered a portal with scattering blue energy.Exiting the portal, Frei lost his consciousness inside of the Joint Dark Energy Mission Facility, a SHIELD base in 2011. Dr. Erik Selvig was astonished by the appearance of the strange bloody man. Moments before, he was just experimenting with the Tesseract. This project, I'm just working on for fun. Not much really. Maybe a couple of chapters per week.
