Chapter 1671: Martial Arts Saint
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Anyone who could gather so many people together must be an extraordinary person.
This was especially true in a place like Wind Cloud City, a huge metropolis with all different kinds of sophisticated people.
“All intelligent life within a 1,000-mile radius of Wind Cloud City is not allowed to leave.”
This extraordinary individual’s voice could be heard, spreading the same message all over the city, over and over again.
At the moment, it was daybreak. This normally silent time of day had been turned into a bustling, market-like atmosphere due to what was happening.
Jiang Chen could have just left straightaway, since he was up in the air.
Soon hordes of people from all the corners of the city rushed over.
They looked up at Jiang Chen, Shen Xingchen, and the others in the distance.
Then groups of people also flew up in the air, stopped a distance from Jiang Chen, and took out a huge flag and held it high.
Similar scenes were happening at many other places. In the end, the huge flags had all been connected, barricading an area of 1,000 miles around Wind Cloud City.
Anyone who made a move in or out would be discovered immediately.
After the barricade had been completely constructed, it was time to investigate those people outside of the city.
“If you guys are planning on looking underground for the origin of fire, then you can save your effort,” Jiang Chen shouted toward Wind Cloud City.
Shen Xingchen and the others had moved far enough away from Jiang Chen and come to a halt. Right now, they were independent actors. They had no partnership with Jiang Chen. Jiang Chen’s enemies could no longer use them as hostages.
“Is he challenging them or informing them?” Yang Zong, who idolized Jiang Chen, was excited by Jiang Chen’s actions.
“He wants to try out how strong he is now,” Shen Xingchen said. She understood what Jiang Chen was thinking.
“However, to do that in this way, one needs to be extremely brave.”
“If he wanted to leave, no one could stop him.”
During this discussion by Shen Xingchen’s group, some of the inhabitants of Wind Cloud City who’d heard Jiang Chen’s words flew up to talk to him.
“We are Wind Cloud City’s two lords, Jue Feng and Jue Yun.”

“We also have here a couple of representatives of the major aristocratic families of the city.”
“And, of course, members of the three great forces are here as well.”
Shen Xingchen could recognize the ones with the greatest power in this crowd with just one look.
Wind Cloud City was one of the ten largest megacities. Every megacity was affiliated with strong forces, like, for example, Tianqi City.
Wind Cloud City had once been affiliated like that, but, after the geographical changes that happened during the creation of the Endless Continent, it had become separated from the jurisdiction of the previous forces that had helped protect it.
Now, however, Wind Cloud City was ruled by the three great forces. Therefore, among the crowd of people who had come up to confront him, Jiang Chen recognized many familiar faces, although he couldn’t remember their names.
“The words you said just now, did you mean them?”
These big shots who’d arrived looked at Jiang Chen and thought to themselves that they were in trouble. They thought that they’d been tricked and lured away from their bases.
“It’s me.”
“Do you realize what you are saying?” One of the lords of Wind Cloud City, Jue Yun, asked in a stern voice.
“I know.” Jiang Chen shrugged. He glanced at all these big shots and said, “I’m the one who retrieved the origin of fire from underground. It’s gone. That’s it.”
Although his statement was simple and true, the big shots didn’t believe him.
“So are you calling us up here to relinquish what you took?” a Venerable Sovereign asked cautiously.
This was the question on everyone’s minds.
Everyone started to feel nervous, because if Jiang Chen were to give it up, who should he give it to?
Fortunately, Jiang Chen’s answer made them realize that there was no need to worry.
“No, I’m only here to tell you the truth. The item was taken by me and is now mine.”
After these words had been spoken, many doubted whether they’d heard him correctly.
It was the first time such a young man had ever said such arrogant words to them.
“Are you really certain that you are aware of the position you’re in?” said Jue Yun rudely.
“Yes.”
At that moment, several injured Venerable Sovereigns, one by one, started coming out of the opening that had been formed by the Fire Dragon Race. They were the ones who had been injured by Jiang Chen.

“It’s him. That’s him. He is Jiang Chen!”
“The treasure from the underground world was taken by him.”
These people and the big shots in the air all knew each other.
“Jiang Chen?”
“It’s him, it’s really him.”
“Isn’t he the one who claimed the World’s Best Fist title? I thought he was called Chen Xin.”
“Chen Xin is Jiang Chen’s alias. He used this name to wipe out the Jet Black Snakes also.”
The big shots came to a sudden realization. Their previous attitudes toward Jiang Chen of doubt and contempt had turned into confused, complex ones instead.
The people here had all witnessed Jiang Chen being saved by the Will of the Natural Law and reborn.
“So, what if you are Jiang Chen? If you take our stuff, you must give it back.” Another lord of the city, Jue Feng, felt that that would be fair.
“That’s right, at least let us know what kind of treasure it was.”
“Yeah, Jiang Chen, what are you doing?”
“Could it be that you think that since you were once saved by the Will of the Natural Law you can do anything you want? That you can leave here right in front of us after stealing our treasure simply by announcing your name?”
The big shots were annoyed. They wanted straightforward answers from Jiang Chen.
“I have already made myself clear. I called you here to tell you that the stuff is now in my possession. Anyone who is unhappy about it can fight me, simple as that.”
Jiang Chen gave a straightforward answer.
An incredible uproar broke out all over Wind Cloud City, as Jiang Chen dared to challenge all these Venerable Sovereigns.
Not only had he taken the treasure from the underground world of Wind Cloud City, he wanted all the inhabitants of Wind Cloud City to just shut up and respect him.
“Even if you are Jiang Chen, what you have done is too much. That treasure was under Wind Cloud City. With your taking it away like that, who knows if it’s going to affect Wind Cloud City?” Someone yelled their opinion.
Some didn’t know what would happen if the origin of fire were to erupt, and some thought that it was some kind of blessed treasure.
“Previously, I’d tried to talk sense with you. You told me the fist was your only absolute principle. Now that I’ve shown my fist, you want to talk sense with me instead.”
“All right, all right.”
Jiang Chen shrugged and said grudgingly, “First of all, Wind Cloud City moved on top of my inheritance and covered it up, causing me a lot of trouble. I didn’t pay attention to that matter. However, then the fire energy underground went out of control. If it hadn’t been for me, the whole city of yours would have been blasted into smithereens. And I didn’t even ask to get paid.”
“Why should I believe what you just said?” shouted Jue Yun.
“I didn’t expect you to believe.” Jiang Chen laughed. “What I want is to see you accept these facts, even if you don’t believe them.”
“Arrogant! Presumptuous!”
No matter how one looked at it, the weak Jiang Chen was the one expressing the arrogance that the strongman group from Wind Cloud City should have been expressing instead.
“All right! All right!”
The two lords, Jue Yun and Jue Feng, were the angriest of the group. Jiang Chen’s words had hit them smack in the face.
“Jiang Chen, you said that the fire energy was going to blast Wind Cloud City into smithereens. Where did you get this information?” Another man asked a question. However, this one was from the Dragon Race. The meaning of his question was different.
“Source? How’s this, for example. I, who’ve acquired the fire energy, can blast these guys into the sky.”
Jiang Chen smiled coldly as he opened his right hand. A golden flame was jumping around in his palm.
After having had one practicing body killed by the black robed man of the Blood Race, Jiang Chen always did things quietly.
There was only one reason for him to have so much confidence right now: It was the confidence he had gotten from obtaining the true source of fire.
If Xiao Hongxue had been here, they would have had an epic duel.
Another very important reason for Jiang Chen’s extreme confidence at this time was that his power level was about to break through from the early stage of Martial Arts Saint to the middle stage of Martial Arts Saint.
To Venerable Sovereigns, this didn’t mean anything, however, his heart power would be strengthened as well.
