Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 400 – The Truth
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“No wonder… How could a normal person come out with such stupid words? You’re just a stupid monkey.” Gao Peng couldn’t keep his mouth shut when he saw this fat monkey.
[Monster Name]: White-furred Carnivorous Monkey (Fat)
[Monster Level]: Level 25 (Commander)
[Monster Grade]: Perfect
[Monster Attribute]: Ice
[Monster Weakness]: Low mobility due to its fatness.
[Monster Description]: A rare breed of the White-spotted Herbivorous Monkey family, every Carnivorous Monkey is born to be the leader of a group of Herbivorous Monkeys. White-furred Carnivorous Monkeys are more ferocious and aggressive than the gentle White-spotted Herbivorous Monkeys.
The White-furred Carnivorous Monkey, which was as fat and round as a ball, appeared to be harmless. It lowered its head and took a glance at the food in its bowl, then handed the bowl to the White Steel Bladed Beast with a harmonious smile.
The White Steel Bladed Beast blinked its eyes in doubt. It was speechless because of the kindness the Carnivorous Monkey was showing. It was unable to react at that moment, as there were only thoughts of nemesis and prey in its mind—it ran when faced with its nemesis, and the prey was merely food for it to grow.
Of course, Gao Peng was the exception. He was neither prey nor nemesis, and most importantly, Gao Peng could make it look taller whenever it stood beside him!
Under normal circumstances, this fat monkey would definitely be a predator. It wouldn’t talk much but to kill it to bring it back and enjoy the meal in its nest.
But for now… it might need to reconsider the feelings of the human that could make it look taller.
When the White-furred Carnivorous Monkey saw the little monster had refused to take the food but instead, turned back and waited for the human’s orders, its expression changed gradually.
The White-furred Carnivorous Monkey took a glance at the food in the bowl, and its instincts told it that this human wouldn’t like the food in its bowl.

It then climbed off the sofa with great effort and was busy in the kitchen for a while. A few moments later, it held another bowl of fresh soup while coming out from the kitchen. It gave it to Gao Peng with a smile.
The “bowl” this white-furred fat monkey was holding had low-quality colored patterns over it. Gao Peng felt like it looked like the five dollar plastic basins that could be bought in the Huaxia wholesale market…
It was a bowl filled with a thick soup of concentrated color. The stuff inside was mushed. There were mushrooms, fruits, and bugs that looked like earthworms.
Gao Peng looked the fat monkey in its eyes. The monkey was still holding the bowl firmly with a harmless expression on its face.
It could barely open its eyes wider. Both of its small eyes were blinking as it was trying hard to open wide, and eventually, it managed to do it with huge effort.
However, Gao Peng knew the white fat monkey was hiding something. He moved towards the inside of the house. This agitated and fat monkey was trying to block his way.
“Get out of my way!”
The white-furred monkey was dazed for a few seconds and unwaveringly refused. “Never!”
Amid this quarrel, the monkey and Gao Peng were getting closer to each other. The fat monkey who was holding the bowl suddenly went mad.
In a blink of an eye, it showed mobility that opposed its fat body. It threw the scalding soup towards the White Steel Bladed Beast and slid itself towards Gao Peng. Claws popped out from its fingers that were sharper than daggers.
It was highly agile with its movements, and it even surprised Gao Peng a little with its burst of speed. It was agile.
However, its movements were slow in the eyes of the White Steel Bladed Beast, as sluggish as a snail. The White Steel Bladed Beast even had the time to yawn and stretch. Then it disappeared from where it was standing.
The fat white monkey felt pain in its chest and was hurled into the air, getting higher and higher. It landed heavily on the wall on its back and shook the wall. There were ashes dropping down from the wall. It slid slowly down the wall like a hanging painting, leaving a long mark.

At that moment, the bowl thrown by the white fat monkey finally dropped on the floor. After rolling for a few seconds, the soup inside was poured everywhere on the floor.
Steam raised from the cold floor.
“Let’s go inside and have a look,” Gao Peng sounded calm while walking into the room with huge steps.
The fat monkey was hiding something that was worth the risk of being attacked… Gao Peng had a bad feeling about this.
Compared to the clean living room, the kitchen was dirty and messy. The wall and stove were smeared with sauces and ingredients. With the thick soup in the pot, it created an extraordinary smell.
There was a huge pot in the middle of the kitchen. The pot was closed, and steam was continuously rising from the edge of its lid.
A bowl was placed beside the stove, the same bowl that the white fat monkey was using on the sofa. The color of the soup was concentrated, similar to the soup handed to him previously.
But there was a finger. It was a human finger. Gao Peng was certain of what he saw.
It could have belonged to the monkey. It could also have belonged to a chimpanzee. Or, it could possibly have belonged to a human being.
Gao Peng glanced at the closed pot. In the end, he still didn’t open it to look at the mushed stuff inside. However, with all the reactions from the fat white monkey, Gao Peng already had an assumption in his mind.
Gao Peng turned and left the kitchen. He went outside the house and picked up the fat white monkey. The fat monkey, which weighed at least 220 pounds, was picked up by Gao Peng singlehandedly.
“Do you enjoy eating the stuff in the pot?” Gao Peng said calmly. However, people who knew him would understand that he was in a very bad mood.
“Delicious!” The fat monkey knew what was going to happen. Instead of showing a gentle face, it turned and became angry and hideous. It was like a hellspawn with a twisted face and mouth, wearing a grimace.
“If you dare to eat us, we will eat you up, too!”
“I understand. I don’t have the rights to accuse you, because that would be hypocrisy. I am a human, after all, but I saw what happened here and I can’t just let it be.” Gao Peng looked directly into the eyes of the fat white monkey.
“Which of you monkeys has ever eaten human? Point them out and I will only kill them. Otherwise, I will kill every monkey on this mountain.” Gao Peng’s voice was stone cold.
The White-furred Carnivorous Monkey ignored Gao Peng’s words. It kept on roaring in anger while emitting high-pitched voice from its throat. It flopped its limbs in madness like a dying fish struggling on land. Eventually, it uttered a sentence in Desert Language. “He ate my son, so I ate him up! I will eat him up! Eat him!!”
Gao Peng asked the White Steel Bladed Beast to finish them off because he knew it could do that. “And make it quick!”
…
In the end, Gao Peng left the village. The abandoned town was destroyed and buried by Gao Peng. The stench of blood and sin was hidden under the thick soil.
Gao Peng took a deep breath and smelled the lingering scent of blood in his nose. He didn’t know whether it was the blood of a human or the monkey.
“Sigh…” Gao Peng exhaled. This was the Cataclysm, and it was a bloody and cruel truth. However, none of them in the Huaxia Region realized what had happened here because protecting the citizens was the priority in Huaxia Region.
The first lesson he learned after reaching the outside of the borders, was the truth itself.
