Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 733 – One-Legged Bull
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“My apologies, I was a little caught up. Let me introduce someone to you. This is my… good friend, Bai Ze.” Zhu Yan turned his head towards Gao Peng and the others, introducing Bai Ze who stood beside him.
Baize’s twinkling eyes were like expanses of spring water, reflecting the figures of each Familiar.
“Nice to meet you all.” Bai Ze’s voice was extremely gentle. “This huge fool, Zhu Yan, has a pretty blunt personality. I’ll apologize in advance if he says anything wrong at times.”
“Not really. To be honest, I quite like talking to such straightforward characters.”
“Hehe. I told you they didn’t mind me,” Zhu Yan said loudly.
Bai Ze smiled indulgently. He stood in a half-kneel position beside Zhu Yan and quietly watched him speak without interrupting.
“By the way, where did we stop our discussion yesterday?” Zhu Yan asked loudly as he promptly sat on the ground.
“Who the Demon Lord of the 55th Dungeon is,” Goldie quipped while moving his stool over and sitting down on it.
“Oh, oh. Right. I nearly forgot.” Zhu Yan continued in a booming voice, “The Demon Lord of the depths of the 55th Dungeon is the Venomous Snake Plague Demon. Its power is equivalent to that of the mid-level Gods. Furthermore, among the mid-level Gods, it can even match up to the ones that are more powerful.”
“Zhu Yan -“
A blast of light traveled here from afar. The high frequency of friction in the air generated a wide expanse of sparks.
“Eh. My friend is here.” Zhu Yan stopped talking and looked at the blast of light flying here from afar.
“This is one of my friends. He’s called One-Legged Thunder Bull. He belongs to the same species as the One-Legged Bull,” Zhu Yan said to Gao Peng and the others by way of introduction.
The One-Legged Bull.
Gao Peng froze. There were actually so many mythical familiars on the World Vortex Battlefield.
The first had been Pi Xiu, followed by Zhu Yan and Bai Ze. And now, another One-Legged Bull had appeared.
Gao Peng suddenly remembered that a One-Legged Bull was ranked third place on the Carnage Chart. Could this be the one…

It was in the shape of a bull and was dark in color and luster. It had no horns on the top of his head and had only one muscular and sturdy leg at the bottom.
However, while its appearance was unfamiliar to Gao Peng, everything still went well together.
Instead, it gave off an elegant aura.
It did walk in a way that was similar to Flamy – each with a spring in its step. The only difference was that it did not have wings like Flamy and did not have to spread its wings out as it walked.
The One-Legged Bull radiated sunlight and moonlight. The two entirely different lights converged into one. Around the One-Legged Bull, there was a faint sound of rumbling thunder.

[Monster Description] This mythical creature was famous because its tendons had been ripped out and it had been skinned after its death. According to legend, the Yellow Emperor created a drum out of the corpse of the One-Legged Bull and defeated the warrior Chi You. It was precisely this special reputation of the One-Legged Bull that caused their species to suffer mass killings in the past. Perhaps these problems came with having fame.
“The son of the Dragon King died,” the One-Legged Bull said solemnly.
“The son of the Dragon King?”
Zhu Yan was stunned for a moment. Then, he said with incomparable gravity, “When did he die?”
The One-Legged Bull glanced at Gao Peng and the others and hesitated briefly. “Yesterday night.”
“That’s impossible. Even the top-ranked Garuda on the Carnage Chart would need at least more than an hour to annihilate the son of the Dragon King if they were to fight. Everyone would have been alerted to the fight if it lasted so long.” Zhu Yan could not believe it.
“I came to beg her to take action and assist us in finding the culprit who killed the son of the Dragon King. More importantly… since it could kill the son of the Dragon King so stealthily, it would similarly be able to -” Although the One-Legged Bull did not finish his sentence, all of them understood.
“Alright. I will try my best,” Bai Ze said.
When Bai Ze was done speaking, she closed her eyes. Her body trembled slightly and her sweat made her fur moist.
“Have you found the culprit?” the One-Legged Bull asked anxiously. He had always been on very good terms with the son of the Dragon King. Furthermore, he had only discovered the murder when he had gone to look for him in his cave.
“Soon… I’m trying my best.” Bai Ze’s voice trembled slightly.
“Ah,” Bai Ze suddenly screamed. With her eyes tightly shut, she rolled on the ground in pain.
The heart of the One-Legged Bull turned cold. Bai Ze was all-knowing of all living things. So long as the difference in its power and that of the culprit was not that large, Bai Ze would never react in this way. But Bai Ze’s power was definitely at the level of a Quasi-God! In this World Vortex Battlefield where the most powerful creature was a Quasi-God, what else could evade Bai Ze’s detection?
Bai Ze said with much difficulty, “It, it’s… coming soon.”
The face of the One-Legged Bull darkened. With a low roar, a circle of yellow light shone on everyone present.
Everyone including Gao Peng felt the anxiety and worry in their hearts lighten considerably. Their physical strength also increased markedly.
Gao Peng narrowed his eyes slightly. He had taken Moneymaker and Xiao Cao into his Familiar Space. However, both of them were merely in the Saint Tier. He was afraid that they would not be of very much use in the subsequent battle. Instead, they would require more care and attention. “Desolion, what about you?” Gao Peng ventured to ask.
Desolion felt a little insulted. Back then, I was the trump card and the main strength of the team. But now, have I been reduced to having to hide in someone’s Familiar Space?
“I’ll stay,” Desolion said lowly. “At the very least, I’m a Quasi-God too.” He paused. “My Desolate Frost Halo can slow down enemies.”
Gao Peng nodded. “Sure. We’ll fight this battle together.”
After speaking, Gao Peng chose to combine with Goldie.
“It’s here…” After combining with Goldie, Gao Peng’s sense of hearing was heightened significantly. He heard faint sounds traveling from afar.
The sounds were a little strange and a little familiar too. They sounded like brooms sweeping the ground.
Sha…
Sha…
The figures were coming closer and closer. On the far-off horizon, tens of dark figures were approaching without stopping.
The dark figures were not tall. They were about 1.7 or 1.8 metres in height and were shaped like humans.
“They’re the ones that killed the son of the Dragon King? So they relied on their strength in numbers. Do they think that numbers are of any use when it comes to me?” The aura of the One-Legged Bull darkened.
Low and muffled drum sounds traveled through the air faintly.
Each time the sound of a drum reverberated, a bluish-purple soundwave spread outwards.
Upon being hit by the soundwaves, the dark figures would be surrounded by musical arcs. At present, the arcs were increasing in number endlessly.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
