The Great Ruler Chapter 1304 – The Battle for the Elixirs
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“Saint Spiritual Pills?” Mu Chen looked at the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast with eyes full of astonishment. Clearly, he had never expected that the Spiritual Butterfly Pill Fairy would be so generous, such that she used the precious Saint Spiritual Pills as the eyes of the Elixir Beasts…
According to Mu Chen’s estimation, the two Saint Spiritual Pills could probably fetch over 80,000,000 drops of Sovereign Spiritual Liquid if they were taken to the Great Thousand World for auction. By that time, who knew how many Half Step to Complete Earthly Sovereign powerhouses like Long Xiang and Wen Ziyu would be fighting for it insanely?
Wen Ziyu and Long Xiang stood to the side and glared at the beast with greed in their eyes. If not for the beast’s Complete Earthly Sovereign strength, they might have just made their moves.
“Let Sister Ling Xi handle that Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast. We will take care of the remaining nine.” Mu Chen chuckled when he saw the desperate looks on their faces.
Going head-on against these unintelligent, yet fearless puppet creatures was obviously an unwise method. Therefore, it would be easier to let Ling Xi deal with them.
“You really know how to give orders.” Ling Xi rolled her eyes at Mu Chen, but she did not object. She moved in swift steps and flicked her finger. Instantly, an overarching spiritual seal swept out like shooting stars and merged into the space between heaven and earth.
Ling Xi was indeed an authentic Advance Spiritual Array Ancestral Master. As she was setting up her spiritual array, her actions flowed smoothly like a river. There was a bizarre beauty in it. Within a short while, the air in front of her began to twist and then gradually formed a gigantic spiritual array. The air in the spiritual array was abnormally sticky. The spiritual energy in the array had weight that made it seem as heavy as a mountain.
Once the spiritual array was set up, Ling Xi swung her dress, and a beam of spiritual energy shot directly at the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast.
Roar!
The Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast was under attack. Instantly, it let out an angry groan. Soon after, the beast, together with a violent windstorm, charged towards Ling Xi in an assault.
Boom!
Without any spiritual intelligence, the beast did not evade the spiritual array. Instead, it just barged in. Once the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast charged into the spiritual array, its speed was immediately reduced. The spiritual light fluctuation in the spiritual array created a swampy world within. As the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast struggled madly, the binding power increased and stacked up on the Elixir Beast’s body. Soon, the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast was even slower than before. Judging from its look, it seemed to have fallen deeply into the swamp trap.

An ordinary human being with intelligence would have thought of ways to escape, but the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast could only expend even more daunting energy just to struggle. In the end, it could only sink itself deeper into the swamp.
“This array is named the ‘Spiritual Swamp Array.’ It specializes in dealing with those opponents who focus on muscle building with strong and tyrannical power. Once they land in the swamp, the binding force will only intensify as they struggle. At the same time, the array can absorb the spiritual energy from its prey. At the end of the day, the victims will deplete all their spiritual energy and wait to be seized without putting up a fight,” Ling Xi smiled and explained to Mu Chen while looking at the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast that had been easily trapped.
“You’re indeed an Ancestral Master!” Mu Chen, Luo Li, Wen Qingxuan, and the rest of them all sang her praises. If a Complete Earthly Sovereign were to battle it with physical strength, it would be a fierce battle against the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast, and one might not be able to win in the end. However, Ling Xi made apprehending the beast so easy. Although the latter did not have any intelligence, the capturing process was good enough to showcase the power possessed by the Advance Spiritual Array Ancestral Master…
“It’s our turn.” Mu Chen and the rest cast their gazes at the other nine Elixir Beasts. All these beasts possessed the strength of Upper Earthly Sovereigns, hence they were not threats to the group. After Ling Xi was done, the rest of them immediately struck.
Boom!
Violent spiritual energy swept out within the stone palace. Wave after wave of violent and daunting spiritual energy attacks struck out. However, the uproar did not last too long before the nine Elixir Beasts burst into pieces. Mu Chen swung his robe, and the spiritual energy swooped up all nine elixirs, which were rounded and full of spiritual energy, into his palm.
Even though these were not as precious as the Saint Spiritual Pills, they were extraordinary and had varying effects. If they could auction them in the Great Thousand World, each of them could be worth up to millions of drops of Sovereign Spiritual Liquid. Mu Chen and Wen Qingxuan were not keen on these elixirs to begin with. However, based on the previous rules they set, they would split the rewards evenly.
When Mu Chen and the rest had cleared up all the Elixir Beasts in the stone palace, there was some commotion on Ling Xi’s side. The caged Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast was losing its spiritual glow, and it could not move an inch in the Spiritual Swamp Array.
Ling Xi tapped her slender finger in the air, and spiritual glow flickered on her fingertip. The next moment, the Spiritual Swamp Array suddenly gathered violent spiritual energy fluctuations. Changes began to take place in the spiritual array.

The Spiritual Swamp disappeared and transformed into a thunderous world in the blink of an eye. An overarching thunderbolt that was as huge as a serpent struck hard onto the Aquatic Dragon Elixir Beast’s body. Within a short while, it let out a sorrowful cry and exploded.
Ling Xi clenched her fist. Two streamers shot out from the stone fragments, and the two precious Saint Spiritual Pills landed in her palm.
“Brava!” Mu Chen could not help but applaud. As an Advance Spiritual Array Ancestral Master himself, he could naturally tell that Ling Xi had swapped out the Spiritual Swamp Array for another offensive spiritual array at an incredible speed. No hesitation or pause was made during the switch between the two spiritual arrays. The proficiency level of the Ancestral Master was displayed splendidly and perfectly.
Ling Xi smiled at Mu Chen for his support. She then flicked the two Saint Spiritual Pills towards Long Xiang and Wen Ziyu. They were the ones who needed the elixirs the most.
“Thank you, Lady Ling Xi!” Wen Ziyu was surprised to get the Saint Spiritual Pill. He cupped his fist at Ling Xi with gratitude.
“It’s nothing.” Ling Xi smiled.
“Find a chance to refine these pills after we’ve finished our business here,” Wen Qingxuan reminded them. After all, dangers lurked in this place. If they refined the pills there, unforeseen circumstances might happen. Moreover, they did not have the time to wait for them to break through to the next level. Wen Ziyu and Long Xiang understood this and nodded. They suppressed their excitement and stowed the Saint Spiritual Pills with great care.
“Let’s continue. I wonder how far Wu Tong and his men have progressed…” said Wen Qing Xuan, looking at Mu Chen and the rest.
“All right.” They nodded. The most important thing for them now was to get into the deepest part of this cave, as the real treasure was there. No one dilly-dallied after the decision was made. They tidied up themselves slightly, beamed into lights, and flitted out of the stone palace.
They discovered a long corridor behind the stone palace. At the end of the corridor, another spacious stone palace appeared. The Elixir Beasts in the stone palace doubled.
From the looks of things, the road towards the deepest part of the cave was full of these stone palaces, and the group had to overcome all these obstacles before they could arrive at their final destination.
Upon seeing this type of roadblock, Mu Chen and the group felt that they were left with no choice. In the next moment, they braced themselves, swept out violent spiritual energy, and charged towards the Elixir Beasts.
At the very least, they could obtain a handful of valuable divine elixirs with various qualities after they defeated the Elixir Beasts. If they gathered enough of them, it would be a precious cultivation resource for the Wen family and the Mu Estate. With that in mind, those Elixir Beasts in their way suddenly became cute.
For the next half day, Mu Chen and the group braved ten stone palaces in one shot. The number of Elixir Beasts surged quickly in every stone palace. When they were at the tenth stone palace, there were hundreds of Elixir Beasts in it. Among those, four of them had the strength of a Complete Earthly Sovereign.
Luckily, the group had Ling Xi, an Advanced Spiritual Array Ancestral Master, around. All these strong, yet unintelligent Elixir Beasts were just moving storage for the divine elixirs. Even so, when they finally cleaned up the tenth stone palace, Ling Xi was looking pale, as the consumption of her energy was huge.
Meanwhile, Mu Chen had gathered up all the elixirs. After their distribution, Mu Chen smiled in relief when he saw the hundreds of precious elixirs. All these divine elixirs were worth more than hundreds of millions of Sovereign Spiritual Liquid drops. If such grand funding could be provided to the Mu Estate, it would definitely increase their strength exponentially.
“Let’s continue!” As everyone slowly recovered, Mu Chen licked his lips as greed filled his eyes. Hunger was written all over his face. After he realized the value of the divine elixirs, he wished that this type of stone palace could continue endlessly.
Obviously, the precious elixirs left by the Spiritual Butterfly Pill Fairy were all stored in these Elixir Beasts. In a way, these Elixir Beasts were also part of the treasures left in the Spiritual Butterfly Relic.
The rest of the people were also bewitched by those divine elixirs that were exuding pure spiritual energy. Even though they had gone through quite a number of fierce battles, they were still in a fighting spirit. The group stepped out of the current stone palace, ready for more Elixir Beasts.
However, this time, the expected corridor did not appear when they stepped out of the stone palace. Instead, a huge karst cave appeared before them. The karst cave was rather broad and filled with magnificent spiritual light like a starry sky. Stars were blinking with brightness up in the air.
However, upon closer inspection, they were not stars, but rather, divine pills. Once Mu Chen and the rest saw the karst cave, they realized that they had unwittingly reached the deepest part of the Spiritual Butterfly Relic.
Dong!
Just when they were feeling bemused, a stone door suddenly opened on the opposite side. A group of people rushed out…
The two teams were stunned to see each other, but soon after, sharp and fierce killing intent burst out from the eyes of the two teams.
