Countless violet spots of light floated in the air in this world. While he stared at the violet light spots, Mu Chen was shocked and overwhelmed.

These were not like any Immortality Sources that he had ever seen before. Compared to the Immortality Sources that he had obtained from his previous opponents, they were more substantial, like lakes and oceans.

“These are such rich Immortality Sources! The Aeon Tower must have accumulated them for thousands of years!” Mu Chen exclaimed as he watched the violet world in shock.

If he could absorb and refine all of these Immortality Sources, his Immortal Golden Body would hit a domineeringly high level! While Mu Chen was still recovering from the shocking sight, a strange fluctuation emerged in the violet world. Mu Chen’s sensor suddenly jerked, as he could sense that a scanning wave was sweeping his sensor. The scan felt ancient to him.

Did someone discover me? Mu Chen wondered in surprise, but did not dare make any moves. While he remained still, violet rays of light suddenly gathered in front of him before they formed into a vague, glowing figure.

“After so many years, someone has finally come…” An old voice, which seemed to be directed at Mu Chen, was suddenly heard.

Upon seeing this scene, the hidden consciousness of Mu Chen glowed, then gradually formed into a glowing figure as well. With a great sense of caution, he looked at the vague, glowing figure and cupped his fist as he said, “I have no intention of trespassing. I hope you don’t mind that I am here. May I ask…. Who are you?”

The vague, glowing figure seemed to chuckle. He then said, “I’m the consciousness of this Aeon Tower. It looks like you’re quite a smart fellow, as you were actually able to think of a way to enter this place. This shows that you are quite bold as well…”

Mu Chen knew what he meant by his saying that he was bold. He was referring to Mu Chen’s having detonated his Immortal Golden Body. After all, no one else would dare to detonate their own Immortal Golden Body, especially after years of cultivation!

“I was on the brink of life and death, so I had no choice but to do it.” Mu Chen gave a bitter smile and felt his heart trembling slightly as he added, “But, thank you for the compliment.”

The vague, glowing figure sighed, then said, “The mutant was too evil, and I could not deal with it. I could only try to confuse it by dropping some hints while it was fighting for the Immortality Sources.”

“It is exactly as I expected…” Mu Chen slightly relaxed upon hearing that his previous intuition had been right.

Every time that golden figure snatched away the Immortality Sources, it would let out an odd-sounding groan. “Senior, what is going on? Who is that golden figure?” Mu Chen asked, clearly perplexed.

The vague, glowing figure rippled slightly at that moment, and a gleaming, painted scroll appeared in front of the figure. Mu Chen focused his gaze on the scroll, which was slowly unrolling.

He saw that a green-robed man was standing in the painting. Although Mu Chen could not see his profile clearly, Mu Chen felt a sense of mystery and intense oppression that he had never experienced before coming from the painting.

When the green-robed man and the scroll descended from the sky and landed on the ground, the man immediately built an ancient stone tower! The stone tower looked quite familiar to Mu Chen, and he soon realized that it was the Aeon Tower! As soon as he recognized the tower, Mu Chen knew that the green-robed man must be the legendary ancient expert, the Immortal Emperor!

“When the Immortal Emperor was constructing the Aeon Tower, he stored the dormant Primordial Immortal Body here. At the same time, he also disseminated some of the cultivation methods for the Immortal Golden Body in the Great Thousand World,” the ancient voice explained from the abyss.

The voice then added, “His purpose of doing so was to choose a suitable master for the Primordial Immortal Body, as well as to collect enough Immortal Sources to repair the dormant Primordial Immortal Body.”

“Repair it?” Mu Chen asked, while a radiance flickered in his eyes.

“When the Immortal Emperor fought with the Heavenly Evil Deity from the Extraterritorial Race, the Primordial Immortal Body sustained significant injuries and entered a dormant state. As such, it was kept in this place so that it could repair itself with the help of the Immortality Sources, ” the voice explained.

“I see…” Mu Chen nodded gently, then asked in a low voice, “But, what’s with that figure? It isn’t the Primordial Immortal Body, right?”

“How could that be the Primordial Immortal Body?” the ancient glowing figure sneered as it answered him.

It then exclaimed, “Over these many past centuries, many experts, all of whom had cultivated the Immortal Golden Body, arrived at this Aeon Tower. They all brought with them a vast amount of Immortality Sources to aid in the recovery of the Primordial Immortal Body. These resources helped the speed up the process…”

The glowig figure’s voice paused for a moment, then added, “But… There were some unexpected mutations…”

“Mutations?” Mu Chen repeated, clearly intrigued.

“Yes, the Aeon Tower ended up gathering too many Immortality Sources, and as these sources came from different Immortal Golden Bodies, although I thought that I purified all of them, I must have missed some…”

The voice let out an audible sigh, then continued, “Without my knowledge, some of the incomplete consciousness concealed itself in the vast Immortality Sources and devoured the other Immortality Sources in secret. By the time I found out about its existence, it had already become quite domineering, so much so that I had to use all of my strength to suppress it!”

The voice was filled with sadness as it added with regret, “However, by the time I was able to accomplish this, too many of the Immortality Sources had already been destroyed, resulting in the Primordial Immortal Body having to remain in the dormant state, when it should have already been awakened! It was such a needless waste!”

Mu Chen recalled the time when the golden figure popped out from the crimson mountain. Or, at least, that’s what he had thought was happening back then. As it turns out, the figure was actually being suppressed under that mountain!

Mu Chen understood everything now. “So… That golden figure was condensed and then transformed by the pure Immortality Sources?” Mu Chen asked. Wow! he thought… It’s no wonder that fellow had such an immense immortality aura!

“All of you who cultivate the Immortal Golden Body will contain Immortality Sources. As such, the figure has a strong desire to kill all of you. This thing has become like a malignant tumor! If we don’t get rid of it, it will steal more and more Immortality Sources until it eventually devours the Primordial Immortal Body! When that time comes, an insane, unstoppable monster will be born!” the voice shouted in warning.

The voice then went on to explain, “That is why I am so worried! But, since the rules state that I cannot have any direct contact with all of you, I can only drop hints to see if anyone would understand them and come to this place using other means.”

Upon hearing this, Mu Chen narrowed his eyes. He had cultivated so hard all these years just for the Primordial Immortal Body. If the body was taken by the mutant, all of that effort would have been in vain!

“What can I do?” Mu Chen asked. He figured that, since his target was the Primordial Immortal Body, the most important task for him at the moment was to stop the mutant.

However, the mutant was too formidable, which meant that Mu Chen was no match for it. In their previous confrontation, Mu Chen had already been forced to detonate his Immortal Golden Body. So, if they were to fight again, he might even lose his life!

“The mutant is already very powerful. Unless you have a Divine Grade expert on your side, it will be nearly impossible to subdue it,” the vaguely glowing figure said.

Mu Chen nodded, then frowned and asked, “Is there any other course of action?”

Upon hearing this, Mu Chen’s heart skipped a beat, while a sense of limitless enthusiasm surged within his body. He could not control his excitement as he asked, “Can I try to do this?”

The ancient glowing figure seemed to chuckle, then replied, “Of course! Since you were able to make your way to this place, it goes to show that you have an immense amount of courage and bravery. So, you deserve to at least be able to try!”

As he finished speaking, the glowing figure waved his hand, causing the violet rays to immediately shoot below him before they disappeared entirely. When Mu Chen looked down, he saw a mysterious, gleaming radiance, which was barely visible, in the deepest area of the Violet World.

A body that made of a strange glaze sat amid the glow, and every inch of its skin was engraved with ancient runes. The runes gave off a primitive and mystery fluctuation, as if the body had been created when the very world first took its original form! This immortal aura loomed over the body, as though the body would last forever and would never be washed away, no matter how long it had already been there.

Although the body’s height was only about ten feet, it looked old and mighty. Even though it was in a dormant state, it still gave off an indescribable oppression. That oppression was far more domineering than the mightiness of even a Divine Grade being!

Mu Chen looked at the ancient body with boundless longing, while a look of passion flashed across his eyes. At this moment, he could not keep his own body from shaking, even though he usually had a calm character.

As he stared at it, he uttered softly, “So… Primordial Immortal Body… We finally meet!”
