Chapter 581: Z

Chu Thirteen let out a frustrating roar as the essence of a beast emperor fumed out of his body .

Suddenly, dark clouds started amassing above him before a large amount of ice pellets hailed from the dark sky!

If it was a fight between ordinary C-tiers, Chu Thirteen might actually still have a chance to win and get away . Yet, this time was different—his opponent was Qin Feng .

As the ice hail rained from above, the ground was scorched by the Fire Wall . The ice pellets had all melted into steam before they were able to hit the ground despite the fire runes that were now not as charged up like how the Fire Wall was first casted .

Even though the fighting stage was a snowy mountain—a place that was supposedly advantageous to Chu Thirteen, his attempt to fight back did nothing to turn the table .

Qin Feng’s Fire Wall was able to suppress every other power in the surrounding area .

“Is this all you can do? You disappoint me!” Qin Feng was expecting some challenge as he thought that Chu Thirteen had called for help . Yet, all that he did was throw some attacks at him and tried to back away . This meant that there was no help coming his way and all he was trying to do was flee!

“Qin Feng!!!” Chu Thirteen roared out furiously . His voice turned into a loud growl that was akin to a fox’s as he completely formed into a fox . His voice was now sharp and beastly; but his eyes were still sparkling with intelligence .

“Qin Feng, you’re now a C-tier champion! What’s so great about hunting a small fry like me, huh? If you want money, I can give you twice the money they are paying you to kill me!”

Qin Feng forced up a smile, seemingly amused by what he said, “You think that I am on your tail because I want to collect your bounty? Seriously?”

“Are you not?” A glint of suspicion glinted in Chu Thirteen’s eyes . “If you’re not, then what are you harassing me for? The snowy state of Xue Yuan has limited power and no influence on the world . Since when did we offend the great Governor Qin?”

“Limited power?” Qin Feng smirked . “Sure, your Genesis is small fry . Yet, the Z Organization isn’t . Their power and influence have reached far and wide!”

Upon hearing this, Chu Thirteen’s face turned grim . It was difficult for one to see the fear on his face though due to his beastly appearance now . Still, the fear that was drumming in his heart was quite haunting .

He now knew why Qin Feng came for him!

When he was learning about Qin Feng’s background, Chu Thirteen knew about the origin of Fengli City . Before the city came to be, the place was merely a town—Shadong Town .

Someone from within the Z Organization once used this town to run some experiments, stirring a great deal of trouble there . However, they could not run the town down . Instead, they were faced with a surprising counter-attack; and Qin Feng was the catalyst of that counter-attack .

Of course, Chu Thirteen could not admit to knowing any of this .

“The Z Organization? What organization is that? I’ve never heard of it . Qin Feng… no, I mean… Governor Qin, I think there must be some mistake!”

“Mistake? Then, please do tell . What kind of drug are you selling, hmm? It’s been half a year since we heard from you people and yet your tech has grown so much—to the point where you’re selling them?”

Qin Feng’s deduction was on point actually . There were too many experimental mutants that had appeared in Xue Yuan state . Right now, the black markets in almost every colony were selling these drugs too . And unlike the fatal mutation procedures, most procedures were mostly successful too .

“Drugs? If you want, I can supply them to you! For free!”

Qin Feng nodded . “Sure, I’m quite interested in your lab too . Now, if you don’t mind, I’d like you to show me the way to the lab!”

Chu Thirteen clenched his teeth after hearing this . From the sound of it, Qin Feng did not believe his feign at all .

“Qin Feng…!! I’ll never yield to you!”

Chu Thirteen roared out furiously as the fur on his body stood on ends, fuming out terrifying aptitude aura .

Several powers in the snowy surroundings were immediately activated by Chu Thirteen .

“How futile!”

Qin Feng raised his arm and called upon a Fire Dragon to strike at Chu Thirteen .

Chu Thirteen was mortified when he saw this; he quickly commanded the snow in the area to envelop him, forming a protective fortress .

The snow fortress was shattered almost instantly as the Fire Dragon reached it .

“Argh!!”

Bounded by the Fire Dragon, Chu Thirteen’s silver fur was completely burned as he started to lose control of his beast emperor form, slowly morphing back to his human form .

Now, he was completely restrained with his clothes almost burned completely, his skin almost charred by the extreme heat .

Without the body of a beast emperor, there was no way Chu Thirteen could withstand Qin Feng’s hellish flame .

Of course, Qin Feng had pulled his punches . Killing Chu Thirteen was so easy that it would have been effortless .

Qin Feng pinched his conscious energy again .

“Come back!”

The flames retracted back to between Qin Feng’s brows .

“Preepzpp!!”

Even though there was still some warmth on the soil, it quickly turned back into its frozen, icy ground after being blown by the freezing winds . However, unlike before, the place was now scorched black instead of snowy white .

“I see, so Mr Chu intends to keep his mouth shut . if that’s the case… Heh!” Qin Feng smirked .

This Genesis leader… he thought he could keep everything a secret?

“Bai Li!”

“Leave it to me!” Bai Li opened up her robe and lowered its hood, intending to walk toward them .

Suddenly, a freezing wind blew past them before a black-robed person appeared on the charred ground .

Qin Feng and Bai Li immediately felt a chill down their spines as they stared at the black-robed person silently .

They could not identify this black-robed person’s power at all from his presence .

This was quite mortifying . Due to his rich experience, Qin Feng could tell if a person was an S-tier . Yet, this black-robed person… his presence was so… ordinary . It was as though he was nothing but an ordinary civilian .

However, he was able to appear out of nowhere instantly .

There was no way this person could be a powerless civilian .

Then, the black-robed person lowered his hood, revealing a youthful face .

This man was young, probably in his 30s . He had a handsome face, with impeccable skin and long hair . He looked like an ordinary man that one could find in the midst of the vast population of a city . Unremarkable and could easily blend in with the public .

However, it was quite clear that there was something extraordinary about this man . His eyes… they were so mature, like there was a massive, deep pit in them . This man looked like he was much wiser than any old geezer that Qin Feng had met . It seemed that he had been through centuries of pain and suffering to acquire such brilliance and wisdom in him .

He did not make a sound . However, he was showing great power and presence just by standing there!

This man must be someone on the top .

Qin Feng was startled by this man’s presence, putting a hand in front of Bai Li to stop her from stepping forward .

“Who are you?” Qin Feng asked despite not knowing if he would answer him truthfully .

“Who am I? Well, it’s been so long since I last introduced myself to someone . So long that I have almost forgotten who I am . ”

Qin Feng frowned upon hearing this!

However, the black-robed man still answered with a calm voice, “Of course, you could call me Z too . ”

“Z!”

Qin Feng’s eyes widened after hearing this name! His eyes were now locked onto this enigmatic, mysterious man .

“So, you’re the leader of the Z Organization?” Qin Feng did not expect that “Z” was a man, not an organization!

If that was the case, just how powerful was this man? Or, just how impossibly influential was he?

“Heh!” The man nodded . He admitted!

Qin Feng glared at the man sharply . Although he knew that he would sooner or later reach the doors of Z, he did not think that he would reach them this quickly . This made Qin Feng very uncomfortable .

However, Qin Feng quickly put these thoughts behind him .

Before Qin Feng was reborn, he had lived 26 years . He was forced into nightmarish poverty at 16 years of age . All thanks to this man!

Now that he had found him, Qin Feng wanted some payback!
