Chapter 599: Quong Po’s Weakness
Even if these Butterflies wanted to escape, Qin Feng would not have let them.
“Dissipate!”
Qin Feng called back the World Aflame, extinguishing the fire around him and leaving his surroundings a charred wasteland.
“Bai Li, grab him!”
He directed a finger toward Yuan Xiaoguang and Bai Li wrapped her consciousness around the ability user to carry him aloft. It was then Qin Feng unleashed his next move.
“Decaying Rain!”
As his consciousness began to shift, dark clouds gathered in the sky and rained down a storm of black inky liquid that drenched the bodies of the fleeing butterflies.
Massive holes began to appear in their wings as they were eroded away.
He pulled out the Verdant Emperor Saber and charged at the flightless Blight Butterflies, immediately slashing through the ones within reach.
For a thousand meters, the ground was littered with the bodies of those butterflies and not far away was the home base of these creatures.
Their nest!
An insectoid’s nest was the largest threat one could find in the Dusan Basin. Destroying one would yield a reward that was worth between 5 trillion to 10 trillion!
This amount of money was the equivalent of the material received from slaying a B-tier beast emperor.
However, a C-tier beast emperor would require the joint effort of four to five B-tiers in order to defeat it. After the money was split, it did not seem like much. As for a C-tier, any kind of beast emperor was terrifying to deal with.
As such, while Bai Li might make killing a beast emperor seem easy, anyone that tried to take on one alone or with just one of their friends would end up very dead.
Qin Feng turned on his communicator’s video recording function and pulled out a few heavy artillery from his spatial rune equipment.
Yuan Xiaoguang had been knocked out earlier, as such Qin Feng was able to freely use the Sacred Armor’s power. It would be best if nobody found out about the powerful trump cards that he carried on his person.

That was why he could not use the Sacred Armor if he wanted to film himself shooting the insectoids.
“This is my chance to advertise for the Fengli Organization!” The cannon Qin Feng pulled out was like a tank’s cannon. The diameter of the gun spanned about one or two meters. It was big enough to squeeze a person or two into it.
He loaded a two-meter long missile into it and aimed at the insectoid nest.
With a squeeze of the trigger, the missile screeched its way toward its target.
His consciousness accelerated the missile just before it collided with the nest.
The nest traveled one hundred meters deep into the ground and spread out into a wide area.
“Explode!”
Qin Feng used his consciousness to detonate the missile.
BOOM!
An explosion rang out in the distance, like a clap of muffled thunder as the ground in front of him began to collapse inward.
Rumble rumble!
As the ground collapsed, the insectoid nest was completely destroyed.
“Ability, absorb!”
His consciousness moved and spread into the insectoid nest below, consuming the auras of the dying beasts deep underground.
His physical body began to enhance, moving one-third closer to becoming C6 tier while his consciousness had almost become C6-tier.
‘Gunners will definitely become a powerful class in the future!’
Qin Feng looked at what he had done and thought to himself, especially after he had acquired so much technology.
Now that those A-tier families had begun to research ways to become more powerful, so why would he not do the same? Many extremely powerful firearms and weapons had already been produced by him.
“The problem is that the battlefield is hard to sweep through. Loot might be destroyed as well!”
Special materials that contained runes were not easily destroyed, but since the insectoids had all been crushed underground and Qin Feng did not have any extra manpower to assist him, he could not retrieve them.
“Bai Li, scan for beast general crystal cores and retrieve them!”

“Understood!” She mobilized her consciousness over the insectoid nest while Qin Feng cleaned up the Blight Butterflies who managed to escape the destruction of their nest.
At this moment, there was a distant explosion which surprised him.
He scanned the location of the insectoid nest but could not find the blast zone of the new explosion.
Rumble!
When he heard another sound, he immediately realized what just happened.
“Not good!”
He turned his head in the direction and saw a thick column of smoke rising in the horizon. Obviously a battle had occurred there.
A battle covered by artillery bombardment.
“The Shinla Devils!”
Qin Feng knew it had to be them!
“Bai Li, let’s go!” Qin Feng said with urgency.
Bai Li waved her hand and caused more than sixty beast general crystal cores to appear in front of her. These were the ones that she managed to find and there were still more that were too late for her to seek out.
Soon, Qin Feng and Bai Li, as well Yuan Xiaoguang in his still unconscious state, instantly appeared a thousand kilometers away.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!
They had managed to cross a distance of a thousand kilometers with great speed.
Within half a minute, they managed to reach the scene where the battle was taking place.
However, this was not a battle between the Shinla Devils and Quong Po’s group. It was Quong Po’s group against a swarm of Blight Butterflies.
Besides that, Qin Feng picked up a familiar scent.
Beast lure powder!
The Shinla Devils had a very simple way of doing things. They used special bullets and long-range guns to attack. These long distance ammunition would be easily deflected by powerful consciousness barriers, as such those were not used. It was due to distance being the issue, meaning that the consciousness that guided them would be weaker and make them easier to deflect.
As such, they used bullets that could not be blocked the normal way. When it was hit by an opposing force, they would instantly explode and scatter thick smoke, covering the area with beast luring powder.
The insectoids lurking around would naturally be attracted by the powder. Even if Qin Feng had destroyed their nest, the Blight Butterflies were too numerous to completely destroy. So now, there were hundreds of people facing off against two hundred more Blight Butterflies.
While this would not be dangerous for this group, it was at this moment that the Shinla Devils revealed their fangs.
With artillery bombing the area, Quong Po and the others did not have any breathing room.
“We can’t keep going on like this!”
“Where’s that gunner?”
“If we don’t have any covering fire we’ll get surrounded by these butterflies!”
“Those bastards!”
The group’s people cried out.
Quong Po assessed the situation and gritted his teeth, “You keep fighting, I’ll kill those causing this!”
Before everyone else could react, Quong Po had already cut a path and rushed over to those responsible for the bombardment.
He needed to get rid of these gunners quickly!
Of course, Quong Po was not without his selfishness.
The opposition having planned this so meticulously, meant that they were the ones that kidnapped his daughter. Naturally, he wanted to rescue his daughter!
As he rushed out of the ring of butterflies, he was intercepted by someone else.
This person was the leader of the Shinla Devils, Diran!
“Bastard, where’s my daughter?” Quong Po roared.
“Oh? Your daughter? Killed her!”
“Then you’ll die too!” Quong Po yelled, sending out flying knives bursting with internal force with his hands.
Once these knives left his side, the internal force that controlled them were met with a force that overtook them, causing the knives to move as if they had a mind of their own and drained them
of their internal force!
Clang clang clang!
The knives collided with one another and fell onto the grassy ground, disappearing upon impact.
Quong Po might be strong, but his weakness was too obvious!

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
