Chapter 678: Retrofit Glutton Leviathan

“Regent Tung, that’s beyond my capacity. After I finish tinkering with the Glutton, I will bring it and patrol around its original habitat. Other than collecting resources from its original habitat, I have no other current plans.”

“I see. That would do then.”

What Qin Feng said had indirectly shut the door on Tung Yang. The latter knew he should not push his luck and force the task into a newcomer’s hand.

Of course, the meeting still proceeded smoothly and ended on a joyful note half an hour later.

“Qin Feng, since you have just gotten back, I should not disturb you any longer. Get some good rest. I expect to see more from you.”

Tung Yang boarded the hovercopter and the vehicle disappeared from everybody’s sight quickly.

Qin Feng naturally became the center of attention after Tung Yang left.

“Who is this guy?”

“You don’t know him? He was the one riding on the Glutton’s corpse just now.”

“What? He was that guy? The regent came all the way just to meet him?”

“If you are the one who killed the Glutton, the regent will come all the way to welcome you too. The price on its head is 5 trillion!”

Qin Feng submitted his mission completion report to the counter amid the frenzied chatters in the crowd.

Officially, the report must include the report as evidence. If somehow no recording was made, then at the very least there must be photo evidence of the corpse.

But right now Qin Feng only had the Glutton’s flesh in his spatial equipment. He did bring back the skeleton to be examined. But nobody had seen the Glutton alive before. How were they supposed to verify whether the bones did belong to the almighty Glutton Leviathan?

So Tung Yang’s visit was not entirely meaningless. His presence itself was a sign of approval to Qin Feng’s mission.

Not long after, Qin Feng received the notification where 5 trillion had just been added to his account.

“I would like to take a B-tier certification mission.” Qin Feng requested the mission after he confirmed the payment.

“Noted. We will apply for you now.”

The mission to certify for B-tier was relatively simple. Qin Feng was only asked to kill twenty B-tier sea beasts. The time given was ample too. He had one whole month to complete the mission.

The higher the tier, the greater the power gap between human and mutated beast. To complete a certification mission alone was close to impossible.

However, to Qin Feng, this was just a piece of cake.

Qin Feng returned to his aircraft after accepting the mission and could finally have a good sleep.

Bai Li pouted when she saw that Qin Feng was fast asleep but did not wake him up. She tiptoed to the other side of the bed and lay right next to Qin Feng.

In the dark, Qin Feng opened his eyes and drew Bai Li closer to his chest.

“Hihi!” Bai Li smiled and yawned. She gradually fell asleep right next to her master.

Their understanding went beyond words. Their minds were connected ever since they signed the pact no matter how far apart they were. Sometimes, it was the company that they needed the most.

Qin Feng woke up in the afternoon the next day. Bai Li had already returned to Cinderclast City when he woke up. He got out of his room and went straight to the restaurant to have his brunch.

Coincidentally, he met Yu Yangtao halfway there.

“President, have you seen the Glutton?” Yu Yangtao was clearly excited.

“Not yet. I am on my way to have my breakfast.” Qin Feng looked at his communicator. “Wait, it’s already lunchtime now. Do you want to join me?”

“Of course!” Yu Yangtao immediately agreed even though he already had his lunch. Yu Yangtao could not wait to ask Qin Feng all the questions that lingered in his mind.

“President, is our corporation technology so advanced? What’s the technique used? I have never seen such a powerful tool.”

“You wouldn’t know even if I explained it to you. Just be amazed by the final product. I may not be staying in the East Sea for long. The Glutton may very well be your warship in the future.”

“What?” Yu Yangtao almost jumped up from his seat.

Qin Feng laughed. He ordered his meal, then looked out the window.

The giant Glutton had changed beyond recognition now.

Guo Guan had been perfecting the skeleton since the night before. It was still far from the finished product.

The technique that descended from the Perished Land exceeded current technology by a huge margin. A lot of their theories went against current understanding.

For instance, the machine that transformed the beast into an undead puppet required only its skeleton. It would first fortify the bone with a special material, then only embed the skeleton with artificial flesh. Ultimately, the skeleton would be turned into a bio-machine.

Such man-made flesh was modified from beast materials. It was transparent and extremely durable. After synthesis, one cm thick would be strong enough to withstand the attack of an A-tier aptitude user once, not to mention its even greater resistance against B-tier.

What Guo Guan was doing now was to construct a control room inside the Glutton. The remaining vacant space was then stuffed with this flesh.

In just a day, the new Glutton was even more daunting than when it was alive.

After all, the Glutton skeleton was at least a thousand-meter-long and three-hundred-meter-wide. This measurement was at least a hundred times the size of a normal vessel.
