Chapter 684: Incoming Tsunami

Qin Feng took out the B-tier’s aptitude user’s badge. It had a simple pattern and looked like your average aptitude user’s badge.

He pulled off his own badge and peeled off the sign on top of it and separated the badge itself from its patterned frame.

The frame of his badge represented him as a governor and it was easily recognisable.

After returning the C-tier aptitude user’s badge, he lay the B-tier badge into his frame before finally putting it on. This was the badge of a high-level aptitude user.

S-tiers were rarely born. A-tiers were stuck with the ministry business along the borders but B-tiers, wherever they were, had authority.

Of course the effect lessened when the front-line was mostly composed of B-tiers.

Any other place, anyone would feel that they had the power to shift even the sky above them!

“End the support mission!” Qin Feng said again, wanting to end the task because killing the Glutton Leviathan was also on record. This time, his performance was about as good as his performance in the Dusan Basin!

“M-master Qin, do you still want to cancel your support mission?” The staff member nervously asked in an increasingly trembling voice.

She was only an E-tier aptitude user.

“No need, you should leave now!”

The staff member immediately packed up their things and disappeared into a back room.

Qin Feng stepped out of the hall and everything seemed calm outside, not a single cloud in the horizon.

However, everyone knew that the tsunami was going to reach them in less than ten minutes!

At the coast, the water levels were dropping and the tide had abruptly retreated. Qin Feng knew that if they were to come back again, it would bring the horror of drowning everything!

There was chaos everywhere with aptitude users yelling,

“Get the evacuating people into the hover cars! Hurry!”

“The protective cover is going to turn on at any time!”

“Water ability users, start hauling ass!”

“Group the vessels together before they get crushed by crashing into each other, come on!”

Qin Feng quickly moved through the crowds as he approached the Glutton Leviathan.

The staff on the Leviathan had left long ago and only two people were left behind for routine management. Qin Feng activated the first authority and shifted the Glutton in a horizontal line at the bay, as if the massive creature could intercept the huge tsunami.

Qin Feng roared, “Deep-sea vessels of the Fengli Organization gather here! Immediately!”

The vessels that were gathered at the pier quickly mobilized and lined up behind the Leviathan.

While he was busy, a white line appeared on the sea’s horizon.

Then, a tsunami that must have been 100 meters loomed in like a terrifying maw, ready to swallow people up at any time.

The atmosphere was immediately filled with a thick amount of tension.

Qin Feng let the two aptitude users operate the Glutton and quickly arrived outside.

“Activate the protective cover! Quickly!” Zhang Geng’s voice spread through the dock, hoarse from all of his previous yelling.

Then, the A-tier city-wide protective shield was activated.

A huge translucent lid covered the people’s heads!

The range of this protective cover was about 2000 meters but compared to the tsunami which they could no longer see the edge of, this was nothing at all!

Now the docks were like a reef and it must meet this coming tide.

This was the coastline. If the tsunami rushed past it, it would attract more ultra beasts to rush toward East Sea City and if it reached there the results would be disastrous!

“Water ability users get ready!”

Zhang Geng stood on top of the Glutton as it was the Glutton which was going to be the first vessel to meet this tsunami. As such, many more water ability users stood on it as well.

Qin Feng was standing here as well but nobody cared that there seemed to be one extra person among them.

The tsunami got closer and closer until it filled their range of sight with only dark blue. As it covered the sunset, it made people feel that the color was a pitch black. The color of despair.

In the matter of a few seconds, the tsunami was right in front of them.

Boom!

The shield that could defend against A-tier ultra beasts began to dim after the initial impact.

“Now!”

Zhang Geng roared.

Many of the other water ability users roared out as well.

Eight of them were B-tier, including Zhang Geng and there were more than forty C-tiers present. They all activated their consciousness!

Blue runes emitted from the bodies of these ability users and rushed toward the incoming seawater that threatened to overwhelm and submerge them.

These terrifying waves were immediately parted but there was still water behind them.

Boom!

Something violently crashed into the cover, it was a huge black deep-sea vessel!

That was obviously a vessel from the Public Capital Corporation.

Although the Fengli Organization dominated the market, they did not manufacture theirs very quickly and there were still some of Public Capital’s vessels still in use.

After seeing this huge vessel, all the water ability users fell silent. They knew that there were countless aptitude users still out at sea and there was no way of coming back. The unprecedented terror that was the tsunami would sink them.

“Move away!”

Zhang Geng shouted.

The vessel had already moved out of the way just as the sound came.

Zhang Geng felt a huge consciousness!

He unconsciously turned his head and saw Qin Feng’s grim face and was shocked to see the dark blue runes emitting from his body.

Qin Feng was using water runes.

The Glutton was an aquatic ultra beast. It did not just have dark runes in its crystal core, it had water runes as well. It was an A-tier ultra beast that reached beast king level and borderline beast deity level. One could only imagine how many water runes it had.

Back in Cinderclast City, Qin Feng had absorbed some earth runes, but that was not enough to be used.
