Chapter 1755 – Worthy Opponents
“What kind of precious technique is it?” Shi Hao asked .
“An unmatched technique in this world, as well as the precious technique you need the most!” Coin Elder said .
Shi Hao looked forward to it, his eyes starting to burn with desire . Those two bones were both extraordinary . They looked ordinary, but mysterious characters were faintly discernible, releasing immortal energy .
“It doesn’t seem to be my clan’s precious technique . ” The crimson dragon said, a bit apprehensive, and also a bit disappointed .
Under Shi Hao’s ‘rational words’, it already lowered its head a bit, might take him as its master . It was because it really wanted to become a True Dragon who knew its own clan’s unmatched precious technique .
However, after arriving in Void God Realm, it discovered that all of these dreams might amount to nothing .
“True Phoenix Precious Technique . ” Bird Grandpa said . He sighed . This type of wondrous technique possessed endless power, moreover allowing rebirth through flames, the most suitable for Shi Hao .
One of those two bones was in the black palace hall, the other in the prison, floating quietly . These were pheonix bones .
To be more precise, they were formed from interweaving phoenix bone texts, innately carrying the greatest power, purifying the black mist here .
“You don’t have any way of bringing it away, can only study it here . However, this is still extremely dangerous, you might fall into depravity as a result . ”
Coin Elder warned, his expression serious .
“I’ve even been afflicted with the Immortal Breaking Curse, what black mist is there to be scared of? Just how far can I even fall?” Shi Hao didn’t feel any fear .
“Immortal Breaking Curse will only cripple your cultivation, but this will affect your mind, make you fall into darkness!” Bird Grandpa’s expression was extremely serious . He released a long sigh .
Of course, the most dangerous thing wasn’t limited to just this . Regardless of whether it was the stone statues or those sealed vessels, they were all extremely terrifying .
Bird Grandpa warned him, having him be careful .
It was because they already saw that Shi Hao set his resolution to head over, wishing to obtain the True Phoenix Precious Technique .
Shi Hao definitely wouldn’t miss this chance . This was the greatest divine ability from one of the Vicious Ten, how could he leave a treasury empty-handed?

This was especially when this Phoenix Secret Technique was something he was extremely interested in . Apart from its powerful offensive power, the undying body was also something that he longed for .
Rebirth through flames, undying phoenix body, from the past to present, it was unknown just how many creatures were drawn to this method, desiring it greatly .
Now, an opportunity was right before his eyes!
Only the crimson dragon was unhappy . It felt like it might become the laughingstock of the True Dragon bloodline . It didn’t even grasp its own clan’s divine ability, not obtaining its inheritance, what kind of True Dragon was it?
Shi Hao moved, walking into the black palace .
Hualala!
Right at this moment, ice-cold chains sounded, piercing into the soul . It was too sudden, and also extremely terrifying .
Those statues were stone sculptures, but now, they actually moved, all of them reaching out a hand, striking towards Shi Hao .
Peng peng peng!
Shi Hao’s expression changed . These stone statues were too extraordinary, ridiculously powerful, making him sense the threat of death . He had to go all out in facing them .
“A fierce person! This little fella is ridiculously strong, almost a bit outrageous . ” Bird Grandpa inwardly sighed .
Coin Elder also nodded, greatly acknowledging Shi Hao’s strength . He was now much stronger than he was before he went to the higher realms . He definitely made even greater breakthroughs on the path of breaking past the limit .
This was unrelated to one’s cultivation level . In this place where everyone’s cultivation level was the same, what was compared was only the path exceeding the limits of this realm, a contest of who was the most powerful at the same level .
From a certain perspective, this was a fostering of the most powerful in history in a certain cultivation level .
After just a brief exchange, Shi Hao was stunned, feeling greatly shaken . Ever since he reached where he was today, he rarely met his match at the same level .
However, in this place, he felt pressured . These stone statues were too powerful . The large hands that were reaching out were covered in chains, releasing hualala sounds, just too ferocious .
Right now, it was as if several unmatched beings descended into this world, arriving from the ancient times, challenging him . They met face to face, destined to end in flowing blood .
“What kind of creature is this?” Shi Hao backed up, in the end returning, not facing them head-on . It was because he was greatly shaken inwardly .

“Paramount beings, unknown which age they lived in . They were previously consecrated in some temples in a realm, some powerful figures among our predecessors sealing a portion of their imprints here . ” Bird Grandpa said .
This was a major event he still remembered, because the impact was too great, not fading from his memory even now .
Shi Hao’s expression was overcast . He stared at those statues .
“Even if you aren’t a match, there is no shame . If you could stop even one of those stone statues, then it can already be considered defying the heavens . ” Coin Elder said .
“Who said I wasn’t a match?” Shi Hao was naturally unconvinced .
However, he had no choice but to admit that these stone beings were too strange . Right now, only a hand reached out, yet it was already this powerful . If the shackles really were undone and they went all out against him, what kind of result would there be?
“I recall a saying that the most powerful can be fostered and nurtured here . ” Bird Grandpa said .
When Shi Hao heard this, his pupils contracted . It seemed like these stone statues being chained up here wasn’t just simply to be suppressed, they also served as a terrifying lighthouse for inspiring later generations .
“I want to release a stone sculpture, undo all of its iron chains, fight it with all of my strength!” Shi Hao said .
“You better not!” Coin Elder was given a fright .
Bird Grandpa was also shaken . He hurriedly waved his hand, this definitely wouldn’t do .
“There are some recordings here, have a look . ” Coin Elder said . There were some indistinct words carved into the ground, informing those of later generations that they absolutely must not undo the shackles .
It was because every single one of these stone statues were truly without equal, no one able to subdue them .
“This is an interesting place, I like it!” Shi Hao said .
He was rather fascinated with this place, finding a training ground for improving his own cultivation . These stone statues would become his training partners in the future . He believed that one day, he would personally undo their restrictions .
“If you want to sharpen yourself, you can enter the prison . However, let me warn you, you must come back quickly after entering each time, must not waste too much time . ” Coin Elder said .
According to what they said, inside the prison, the creatures sealed within those vessels on the altar were also extremely terrifying, he couldn’t continue fighting them zealously .
“This is too great! I was running out of opponents, who would have thought that there would be a bunch of them here in Void God Realm!” Shi Hao was excited, not fearful at all, nodding here .
Hong!
This time, he rushed in, not facing the stone statues, but rather the prison region .
In the end, as soon as he approached, a bloody arm reached out from a vessel, attacking him viciously . Great dao force erupted, extremely terrifying .
Peng!
Shi Hao faced it head-on, his brows furrowing . Were the creatures here all this powerful?
“Don’t look down on them! The sealed creatures are powerful beyond imagination!” Coin Elder warned .
“Every one of them exceeds the limit!” Bird Grandpa added .
When Shi Hao heard this, he was greatly shaken . These sealed creatures’ origins were definitely terrifyingly great . Just where did they come from?
Hong!
Many of the jars swayed . As long as he approached them, a bloody palm or claw would reach out and attack Shi Hao murderously .
These creatures were ridiculously powerful, making Shi Hao’s mind sink .
This place was too extraordinary, he had to get to the bottom of this . If a swarm of these experts appeared one day, how was he even supposed to fight? Would he alone even make a difference?
“This is a corner of the dark prophecy, merely a simulation . There were some war generals trapped here to sharpen those of later generations . ”
Right at this time, Bird Grandpa seemed to be talking in his sleep, actually speaking these words .
Even he himself was shocked, feeling a bit perplexed .
It was clear that these were memories from the depths of his mind, previously forgotten from the corruption . However, now that he was startled, he spoke this involuntarily .
“Excellent, in the future, this place will be my training place!”
Shi Hao now felt like coming to the lower realms might be even more important than cultivating in the higher realm . He encountered such great enemies here, all of them the highest quality grindstones .
Chi!
He turned into a streak of light, rushing over, seizing the piece of phoenix bone, examining it there .

Rimward Bound
Every citizen of the sky-cities of His Majesty's Star-Empire knows that a ship, both sky- and star-, is more then just a few bits of metal. It is the grand sum of it's hull and the crew that sail it. 'Hulls of battle-steel and men to match!' That's what the Navy's recruitment poster's claim at least. Every sailor knows that there is one more component that the city-bound folk ignore at their own peril: the soul of the ship. That it takes both man and hull to make a true ship, and that neither alone serve well or for long. In 8225 Lord Jeffrye Saltonstall the Fourth, Political Lord of the Surveyor's Corps, demands semi-automated ships to 'reduce the loss of life among our brave crews', manages to convince the other politicians and bureaucrats to fund them, and gets the Office of Ship Construction to sign off on the ships as structurally sound. Dockyard workers shake their heads at the ships, muttering that they are cursed from birth, even as construction drags on. In 8230 the Explorer, first of her class, is launched. She sets out in 8233 to great fanfare on a trip expected to last six months. Neither she nor her twelve-person crew is ever heard from again. By 8235, the remaining seven Explorers are are commissioned. Lord Saltonstall managed to find crews for six of them but at the cost of mass resignations. The Night Horse, last of the Explorer class, sat in reserve as her sister-ships served well enough despite ill luck and misfortune. The Office of Ship Construction quietly issues notice that no more semi-automated ships are to be built and that all active Semi-automated ships are to be quietly retired and broken up for scrap over the next ten years. The Night Horse, sitting in reserve, is missed due to bureaucratic oversight. In 8250 Lord Ayland Wynstryngham the Eighth assumes the office of Political Lord of the Surveyor's Corps. His first act is to issue notice that no ship is to be without crew nor sit in dock or reserve for longer then required for maintenance and upkeep. The Night Horse, all but forgotten, is quietly brought back into active service. Recruiting a crew for her proves another matter entirely. What poor or desperate fool would willingly sign on to crew, much less command, a cursed ship and spend months or years in deep space? Well, you would, of course.
