Chapter 241: 241
The Demons gathered at the entrance began to shout at Gus’ words.
“Who are you?”
It was then that a Demon walked out to the front and asked Gus.
It was the Outpost 7 Commander, Hered, who Gus was looking for.
“The commander?”
“Yes, my name is Hered.”
“I am Gus. I have something to report to Cranosson-sama urgently. Can you contact him?”
Hered started thinking at Gus’s words.
‘That is definitely the prince’s mark.’
There are two types of Cranosson’s mark.
Commonly known normal marks and heavy marks.
The mark Gus is holding was a heavy mark of the few that contained Cranosson’s unique magic.
“Can you tell me what’s going on?”
Hered thought for a moment and asked Gus.
Why did a Demon of the Kyrad faction come all the way here with the Cranosson’s mark?
___________
“Child of Darkness, Child of Darkness.”
Soo Hyuk re-summoned the ‘Children of Darkness’, but they did not move.
“Isn’t it strange?”
Soo Hyuk asked Yeon Jeung.
“Well, why can’t I see…”
Yeon Jeung answered while blurring the end of his words. The Demons were nowhere to be seen.
They were not hiding, they just disappeared.
It was proven by the ‘Children of Darkness’ not moving, as they had the ability to detect monsters.
“Did they run away?”
Yeon Jeung continued speaking. Hertana, the second strongest Demon of the faction, was seriously injured and many Demons were killed.
“Sigh”
Soo Hyuk sighed and confirmed his contribution.
‘89 million…’
He returned to Alin and killed many Demons.
As a result, he was able to raise his contribution to 89 million.
But that was it. It had been 15 minutes since the contribution stopped increasing because there were no visible Demons.
“How long are we going to do it?”
In response to Yeon Jeung question, Soo Hyuk closed the quest window and checked the time.
‘It’s already time…’
It was almost 12 o’clock.
‘We’ll have to do it tomorrow anyway.’
If there were only 1.2 million left to reach the target of 100 million, he would have been looking for Demons even after 12 o’clock. But there were over ten million. He doesn’t know how long it will take now that the Demons have retreated.
“Shall we stop here today?”
Soo Hyuk replied.
“Is that so?”
Yeon Jeung turned bright and questioned.
Today, they went to Areas G and H and all the way to Alin. It was Yeon Jeung that felt quite mentally tired from driving the wagon.
“Then will you go back?”
Yeon Jeung asked.
“Where?”
“The hole. We have to go outside.”
“Why don’t we just log out in a remote place?”
“What? in the castle?”
Yeon Jeung raised his voice in surprise at Soo Hyuk’s words.

Usually, it was basic to log out in a safe place.
However, this was the base of the Kyrad faction Demons.
It was far from safe.
‘If it’s Soo Hyuk…’
However, as soon as he thought about it, Yeon Jeung changed his mind.
Will the Demons be able to inflict damage on Soo Hyuk?
With Soo Hyuk’s wisdom, there’s no need to worry about magic attacks.
He has an incredible magic defense, what kind of magic can do any damage to Soo Hyuk?
Even if it was the magic of a High-Class Demon, it would not do that much damage.
Then all that’s left are physical attacks, but Soo Hyuk has a shield.
Even Hertana, who had a strong physical attack, could not destroy the shield.
‘With Soo Hyuk, I’m safe too.’
If he is next to Soo Hyuk, he will be safe.
“Yes.”
After thinking about it, Yeon Jeung said to Soo Hyuk.
And he began to drive his wagon in search of a secluded place.
“How about here?”
It wasn’t difficult to find a remote place.
Yeong Jeung asked Soo Hyuk’s opinion.
“I think it’s fine. If it’s dangerous, we can break down the walls of the castle and retreat.”
Soo Hyuk nodded.
It was a very remote place, so even if the Demons reappeared, there would be few places.
“Let’s do it here.”
They both came down from the wagon. Soo Hyuk reverse summoned the wagon, then told Yeon Jeung.
“See you tomorrow.”
“9 o’clock!”
“Yea.”
Soo Hyuk replied then logged out.
Yeon Jeung checked out the surroundings after Soo Hyuk logged out.
‘How did I get here?’
He couldn’t believe it.
He was able to proceed with a large quest that many users would have died of envy if they knew that he did it alone.
And as a reward, also received legendary items. It was amazing.
Yeon Jeung tried to log out with a satisfied smile.
[Warning!]
[The leader of the Kyrad faction and the Ruler-Class Demon Kyrad appeared in the castle of Alin.]
However, just before logging out, a message appeared, and Yeon Jeung log out was delayed after he read the message.
‘Kyrad?’
He was amazed. Is it the real Kyrad?
‘This is not the time to be like this.’
He wondered why Kyrad came here.
But it wasn’t the time to think about it. He must log out.
What if he meets Kyrad while Soo Hyuk is not here?
He had the ultimate skill, so he can survive, but that’s the end of it. He can’t use it again for 5 days.
Yeon Jeung quickly logged out. And as soon as he came out of the capsule, he called Soo Hyuk.
-What?
The bell rang a few times and Soo Hyuk’s voice was heard.

“Kyrad has appeared!”
Yeon Jeung went straight to the point.
-What? Really?
As expected, he could feel the surprise in Soo Hyuk’s voice.
“Yea! As soon as you left, a message popped up saying that Kyrad had appeared in the castle.”
Yeon Jeung said with a slightly excited voice.
-Sigh
Then, Soo Hyuk’s voice was heard. It was the characteristic sigh that he let out when thinking about something.
“What are you thinking about?”
Yeon Jeung asked Soo Hyuk.
– I was thinking about reconnecting.
“What?”
Yeon Jeung asked again.
“Are you going to Hunt Kyrad?”
The reason for wanting to connect is obvious. It was clear that he was trying to catch Kyrad.
– By the way, if there is Kyrad, the Demons will reappear. But I can’t help it because I’m tired. Sleep well, I will see you later.
After finishing the call, Yeon Jeung put down his cell phone. Then he went to the computer to access the official home page.
“The main episode is really attracting attention.”
Alcandium Armor Leggings were no longer visible in popular posts.
The main episode ‘Chimera’ and related articles were posted.
“Soo Hyuk is always there.”
Of course, there were many articles related to Soo Hyuk in the popular articles.
“Looks like he swept a lot.”
He was dead at the time, so he couldn’t log in, so he couldn’t see Soo Hyuk’s activities but looking around popular articles, he could imagine what Soo Hyuk was doing.
“If the Demon World is known…”
In the future, what if the work in the Demon world becomes known to users?
A smile sprung up.
It was then. It was 12 o’clock and the popular article changed. He checked the popular articles again.
“Uh?”
And Yeon Jeung was perplexed. It was because of the top 10 most popular posts.
“10th Demon World?”
Neither 11 nor 12. Clearly, the word “10th Demon World” was written on it.
“The Emperor’s Guild…”
It was the Emperor’s Guild who posted the article.
Yeon Jeung quickly hit OK.
“Nonsense.”
Seeing the article, Yeon Jeung murmured.
“There are other users in the 10th Demon World besides us…”
________
Kyrad looked up at the bed without a word. Hertana was sleeping soundly on the bed.
Kyrad looked at Hertana with sorrowful eyes, turned his head to look at Eshtar.
“Where are the humans?”
There was no more sadness in Kyrad’s eyes as he asked Eshtar. There was only anger.
“It is said that they entered Area 18 10 minutes ago.”
“Guide me.”
“Yes!”
At Kyrad’s words, Eshtar left the room and took the lead, moving his steps towards Area 18.
And the escort Demons followed them.
“It is here.”
After some time, Eshtar arrived at Area 18 and told Kyrad.
Kyrad then closed his eyes and spread the magic in the surrounding area. He was looking for human energy.
Soon after, Kyrad’s Magi covered the entire Area 18.
‘Have they left?’
A look of wonder appeared on Kyrad’s face. No human energy was felt anywhere.
‘Have they moved to another area?’
Kyrad further widened his detection range.
It was then that he felt alien mana.
It was clearly traces of mana left when humans used magic. If there is a trace, it can be pursued.
Kyrad quickly ran to the place where the traces of mana were. After arriving at the destination, he immediately cast a spell. It was magic to track the owner of these traces of mana.
*Swish*
A twinkle appeared in Kyrad’s sight, and he began to move following it.
*Swoosh*
And soon the glitter disappeared. Kyrad stopped walking, looked around and frowned.
‘He disappeared from here.’
The traces were cut off.
‘Warp?’
The first thing that came to mind was Warp.
‘Did he Break through the coordination disturbance?’
However, Alin had a coordinate disturbance magic circle installed. It was impossible to warp unless it was a Warp Gate.
‘There is no trace.’
Moreover, if the warp was cast, the traces of mana should be visible. But there was no sign of it.
‘What happened?’
It was strange in many ways.
Soon Eshtar and his escorts arrived.
Kyrad finished his thoughts and turned back. Then he told Eshtar.
“The humans seem to have run away.”
He did not know how they did it, but it was clear that they ran away.
______
“Is that real?”
Cranosson asked Gus, who was sitting on the other side.
“Yes, I saw it myself.”
Gus nodded his head.
Cranosson was silent at his answer.
‘They didn’t just go on reconnaissance…’
It was their volunteer mission, but they didn’t simply go on a reconnaissance.
‘Why wouldn’t they tell the truth? Did they go and then change their mind?’
Their original purpose was reconnaissance, but did they think it was worthwhile? So they attacked?
‘I think this is an opportunity.’
When Amiletta came earlier, she told him to prepare for a general attack.
And now seemed to be the chance to launch a full-scale attack.
“Wait a minute. I will go to the capital for a bit.”
Cranosson spoke to Gus and got up from his seat. Then he got out of the room and warped to the capital ‘Amiletta’ through the Warp Gate.
Cranosson went straight to the palace and headed to Amiletta’s room.
It was late at night but considering the situation he couldn’t have these considerations now.
*Knock*
“Mother.”
Cranosson arrived at the front of the room and said with a knock.
“Come in.”
Soon Amiletta’s voice was heard, and he went inside.
“What’s going on?”
Amiletta asked as Cranosson entered.
At her question Cranosson said in excitement.
“You were right mother!”
“?”
“They didn’t just go on reconnaissance.”
Amiletta grinned at Cranoson’s words. Then Cranosson continued.
“I think this is our chance, what should we do?”

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
