Chapter 57: Five Reasons for Feng Tianlan to Repudiate Her Fiancé!

Si Rong froze in shock, as did the spectators .
“Feng Tianlan doesn’t just intend to annul the engagement, but she wants to repudiate him?”
“Repudiation is usually for married people, and they are not married yet…is it possible to repudiate a fiancé? I never thought she would do something like this . Is she playing hard to get again?”
“Third Prince is being repudiated by someone like Feng Tianlan . Now, he’s lost every bit of what was left of his reputation . ”
Feng Tianlan ignored the crowd’s murmuring, and continued in a loud voice, carefully enunciating every word: “Today, in accordance with the Book of Repudiation of Marriage, I would like to list five out of the seven reasons for why my fiancé, Si Rong, ought to be repudiated .
“One: Lack of filial piety! He insists on this annulment, thereby disrespecting his parents! Two: Adultery! He’s having secret relations with his sister-in-law! Three: Inability to have children! He is infertile! Four: A foul mouth! Spreading rumors, poor control of temper, slandering his fiancée, and causing strife in our families! Five: A nasty illness! I will not explain it in detail!
“As of today, I, Feng Tianlan, hereby repudiate this man . Both parties are now, therefore, free to marry someone else . ”
Each of the five points that Feng Tianlan had listed was like a roar of thunder booming over the arena . Every word shocked those listening . Normally, these were the conditions for repudiating a wife, but Feng Tianlan had used them to repudiate her fiancé .
“After hearing Feng Tianlan, it seems like this man is a scumbag . ”

“Hoho! Is the main point here that Third Prince is infertile?”
“Infertility is a type of nasty illness, too, but I suppose there’s nothing wrong with singling it out . ”

After hearing Feng Tianlan’s five points against him as well as the spectators wildly discussing his infertility and having a nasty illness, Si Rong was so enraged that blood rushed to his head . He glared at her and clenched his teeth, his face getting redder and redder . “Feng Tianlan!”
As a man, it was embarrassing enough to have one’s fiancée annul the engagement; now, she was repudiating him . Worse still, it was on these five insulting grounds, including the claim that he was infertile—the greatest humiliation of all . He was not going to let this go, just like that! In a flash, Si Rong rushed at Feng Tianlan .
“I’m going to kill you! How dare you humiliate me in front of all these people? I’m going to kill you!”
Si Mobai turned and raised his hand, sending Si Rong flying . He added one more point in an icy voice, “Six! Attempted murder of his fiancée!”
Si Rong was flung out like a piece of garbage . He landed, hard, making a depression in the ground, and vomited blood . Si Rong clutched his chest; he was hurt and infuriated by Si Mobai’s attack . But he dared not say anything because he knew that Si Mobai was stronger and heavy-handed . He would not be able to fight him . All he could do was contain his anger .

“Second Brother, she insulted me!” If he could not punish her, he at least wanted to accuse her . He felt he’d been treated unfairly .
Si Mobai gave him just one look and did not speak . This look was murderous, and it sent chills down Si Rong’s spine . He did not dare say anything further . Since talking to Second Brother did not work, he had to rely on his father .
“Father, you have to help your son!” Si Rong knelt and groveled at his father’s feet . As a man, how could he bear utter humiliation from this useless woman?

Cornucopia of Hope is a non-canon killing game completely alienated from the the canon universe of the Danganronpa games. The things borrowed from the games are as followed: Hope's Peak Academy, and the structure of 16ish hyper-skilled teenagers trapped in an enclosed space and being subjected to a motive, a murder, an investigation, a trial, and an execution of the presumed killer. There are no spoilers, tie ins, or previous knowledge required of the series to read this story!
