Chapter 66: Agreement to Sever Father-Daughter Ties

She was no longer the Feng Tianlan who could be bullied by just anybody, so Chuling no longer had to protect her every time she was in danger .
Chuling held her ground for a while then nodded vigorously and said, “I understand . ”
The head bodyguard snorted at this, looking at them with disdain . “Let’s go . ”
Feng Tianlan took a few steps forward and stood in front of the head bodyguard, slanting her eyes at him . She said, “You’re a bodyguard raised by the Fengs—I’m sure you know what happens to those who betray the head of the family, right?”
The head bodyguard flinched then replied solemnly, “I remain loyal to the Feng Clan . ”
At this, Feng Tianlan raised her eyebrows, but did not say anymore . She and Chuling walked into the hall and heard an angry but weak shout, “Kneel!”
Chuling’s legs went weak . She was about to kneel and beg for mercy for Feng Tianlan, but Feng Tianlan held her up and stopped her .
“If you have something to say, then just spit it out . There is no need to use your authority as a father and clan head to force me into submission . ” Feng Tianlan saw Feng Xiang go as white as a sheet, so she and added coldly, “Firstly, you’re not fit to be a father; secondly, this clan belongs to my mother, so you don’t have any authority at all . ”
Feng Xiang had not been very seriously hurt the day before, so Feng Tianlan was surprised to see him looking so weak now .
“You little ingrate . I’m going to kill you and set the record straight!” Feng Xiang became agitated at Feng Tianlan’s words and wanted to hit her on the spot . But his injuries from the night before made it too painful even to move .

“You mean the head of the top-level cult, Demon Palace? That Demon King?”
“What relations do you have with him?”
The night before, Si Mobai had worn a silver mask and deliberately changed his voice, so Feng Xiang had been unable to recognize him . After thinking harder about what Si Mobai had said, Feng Xiang had concluded that Demon King was getting back at him on Feng Tianlan’s behalf . Feng Tianlan was his first suspect for last night’s attack .
“I don’t know him . What relations could I possibly have with him?” Feng Tianlan was puzzled by this question . Then, she saw how weak Feng Xiang was . She couldn’t help but curl her lips and ask sarcastically, “Why? Did this powerful Advanced-stage Spiritual Grandmaster get spanked by the Demon King?”
The moment she mentioned the words ‘Spiritual Grandmaster,’ Feng Xiang became so angry that he slammed his fist on the table, causing it to break into several pieces . The air immediately became very tense . Anything could happen .
Feng Xiang suddenly started coughing violently from exerting too much strength . He looked up and threatened Feng Tianlan, “You little ingrate! Once I recover from this, I’m going to make sure you die a horrible death . ”
Nobody could know that he was unable to advance his skills anymore; otherwise, he would lose his place in society .
“Oh, really?”
Feng Tianlan looked at Feng Xiang and weighed up the possibility of killing him now . If she were to kill him now, she might not win, even though he was sick . Feng Xiang was an Advanced-stage Spiritual Grandmaster, after all . Since she wasn’t confident that she’d win, she decided not to try .

“From now on, you will have nothing to do with me,” Feng Xiang said as he threw a piece of paper at Feng Tianlan . “Get out of Feng Manor, right now . ”
The paper carried some Spiritual Force and landed neatly in front of Feng Tianlan . There were only a few words on it, and their meaning was very clear .
“An agreement to sever father-daughter ties?” Feng Tianlan saw that the paper also listed her place in the family’s genealogy book . So, this agreement would erase her from the genealogy book and disown her from the Feng Clan?
