Chapter 370
370. Wrath of The Dragon King
Eldia flies at a near-vertical position straight towards us.
His mouth is widely open, exposing his reddish-black gums and large fangs.
【“Why! Why are you chatting so idly with mere humans!”】
I check Eldia’s status as he approaches us with tremendous speed.

〖Eldia〗
Species: Diabolos
Status: Enraged (large)
Lv: 130/130 (MAX)
HP: 1697/1697
MP: 1316/1316
‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐
No good, he’s completely pissed off.
I don’t think he can be reasoned with in that state…… in fact, I don’t think there’s any room for discussion at all.
“What…… are those numbers……”
Lilyxila’s face turned pale after seeing Eldia’s status.
Even the maxed level Saint does not want to make enemy of someone with an attack stat of 1500.
“…… Are you two acquainted?”
Lilyxila turns to me.
I say nothing and look away.
Even without looking, I can tell that Lilyxila and the female swordsman, Alphys, are panicking at this unforeseen situation.
If possible, I’d rather not fight with Eldia at all.
But if he finds out about the revival of the Demon King, he’ll unquestionably join their side.
Might as well sever all ties I have with my old man now while I still can.
I raise my upper torso and spread my wings.
I gather magic power into my wings and flap it, firing a〖Wind Slash〗.
The〖Wind Slash〗cuts through a large branch of the Great Tree just above Eldia and falls straight at him.
Eldia makes a simple turn and avoids the falling branch.
He then stops from ascending and hovers in the air, staring at me.
W-We’ll hit him with the next one!
After all, we’ve got me, Alo’s team of three, the saint and her confidant, as well as her Holy Dragon.
It’s seven against one. Plus, Lilyxila, Seraphim, and I are each as strong as a Rank A.

Even if his level is 130, we still have the upper hand!
【“You, missed on purpose, didn’t you?”】
Partner gives me a dumbfounded look.
I-It was a tactical warning.
Yes, I’m still having a hard time in finding the resolve to go over with this fight, but a direct confrontation would’ve been bad for Alo and the others.
I’m sure Eldia doesn’t want to fight here as much as I do.
【“So, that is your answer…… two-headed dragon!”】
Eldia resumes his advance, and this time, at an even faster speed.
Scratch that. He clearly wants me dead now.
He doesn’t seem to be the type that would prefer a peace talk despite being at a disadvantage.
“Lilyxila-sama! Call the Holy Dragon!”
“〖Spirit Servant〗! Come to me, Holy Dragon Seraphim!”
The Seraphim that disappeared earlier instantly reappears when the saint waves her staff.
The divine white dragon looks down at Eldia.
In response to Eldia steadily closing the distance, Seraphim spreads open its wings and remains airborne.
A number of bright light shines behind Seraphim’s wings and rains down at Eldia.
The rain of light shaves off several branches of the Great Tree.
That must be the〖Lightning Rain〗skill.
A perfect move to use in this position.
It’ll be hard for anyone to avoid that. Plus, Seraphim is a Rank A monster.
Its attacks should be able to damage Eldia, even if a bit.
“Gru~oaaaaa!”
Eldia makes another loud roar.
Then, his body gets wrapped around in a clad of magical armor.
He’s using〖Mana Barrier〗. Even though he already has high resistance to magic, he’s still adding protection.
Eldia then powers through the barrage of light attacks.
He’s continuously hit on his back and snout, shaving off his scales and digging through his flesh.

But, he pushes on.
The higher stat Eldia easily breaks past Seraphim’s bombardment and swings his bulky purplish claw at it.
“Ku~u~ooo!”
Seraphim quickly responds by letting out a cry.
A wall of light is then formed to protect Seraphim from Eldia’s powerful claw swipe.
Looks the〖Light Shield〗skill…… isn’t the type to boost resistances or defense, but is an actual shield of light that can stop attacks.
But, Eldia’s claw swipe was still too powerful and effortlessly breaks Seraphim’s〖Light Shield〗.
The highest attack stat I’ve ever seen is now about to hit Seraphim.
The〖Light Shield〗shatters like a glass, and Eldia’s claw carves out a huge chunk of Seraphim’s abdomen.
“Kugyu~e~e!”
Seraphim cries out in pain.
It then gets hurled to the bark of the Great Tree.
Seraphim’s abdomen has been deeply gouged out and the insides can be seen, but there’s no bleeding.
The flesh that was clawed out then glows a translucent light and disappears.
It must have something to do with being in the spirit state. So, it really does materialize in a spiritual body.
They appear to be immune to physical damage while in that state……
【“A pitiful dragon, tamed by humans! Weaklings should stay out of this!”】
Everything happened so fast, I couldn’t fully react in time.
“Holy Dragon!”
Alphys’s face turns pale.
“To think a monster like this exists……”
Lilyxila is also confused of what to do since she still hasn’t replenished her full strength yet after tirelessly looking for my whereabouts, and now she’s under attack by a powerful monster.
I may have underestimated Eldia too.
He’s tough, fast, and strong. The epitome of nigh-perfection.
His ridiculously high stats are making up for his very few skills.
The claw attack he did on Seraphim wasn’t a skill after all.
In fact, he doesn’t have any claw skills or any skills meant for brawling at all.
E-Eldia could be stronger than the Demon Lord that’s still gaining power in the royal city, I think.
And here I was afraid of Lilyxila for being a force of three Rank A’s as one, but even she’s no match for someone like Eldia, it seems.
Other than her magic stat, Eldia has higher stats than her.
Then, Eldia hovers at an altitude over mine and swings his massive tail at me.
I quickly jump to the next branch. Eldia’s tail swing utterly destroys the branch I was standing on, along with our nest.
The recoil from the tail swing pushes Eldia back and he lands on a lower branch.
What an overpowered〖Dragon Tail〗. I almost died.
There goes our home now though.
【“Attack me. I dare you”】
Eldia spoke in a provoking tone.
His intense glare pierced through me and Partner and we were heavily intimidated.
【“You won’t attack? Very well, then why don’t we have a proper talk, two-headed dragon”】

Path of the Ancients
When humans with the ability to control the fundamental particles of the universe with their minds were first discovered, the age of space travel began in earnest. Relativistic travel faster than the speed of light became possible and humanity moved out into the stars. When it was discovered that these Mages could be turned into effective weapons, humanity turned back to its oldest pastime of war. Hundreds of years later as humanity was on the brink of self-destruction, with its taste for war finally beginning to wane, a new organization was created. The Conclave was formed to regulate all Mage’s within the human colonies. While the colonies maintained their independence, the Conclave’s control over access to interstellar travel made them the de facto power amongst humanity. As the old saying goes, ‘Power Corrupts’, and many people were unhappy with the way the Conclave had been leveraging its authority, not the least of which were the Mages they controlled. One unregistered illegal Mage by the name of Tyrial had made it his life's mission to dismantle the Conclave at any cost. After spending decades working towards his goals alone, he realized he would need the aid of willing allies in his crusade. Tyrial would need all the help he could get learning to work with others, dealing with his own dark past, and handling unfamiliar feelings of romantic interest. Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**
