Kyle's intervening words were able to revert the atmosphere back to the previous, mostly, normal hue, albeit incompletely. He was, honestly, glad that he was able to mediate the situation and also alleviate it somewhat. A few minutes later, the waiters arrived with the menu and the girls ordered as their heart's desired, that was Kyle's insistence after all; as promised Kyle once again assured them that he would be paying for their dishes, hence Meru and Tohru didn't hold back in the slightest with their orders. Their reasonings however were vastly different.

At one side was Meru, who just wanted to empty Kyle's wallet. Sadly it was impossible due to the most expensive dish here being only a few thousand yen. Meru, in actuality, wanted to prank and tease Kyle a bit for making her jealous earlier, he had no intention of doing that whatsoever, she however didn't quite understand why she wanted to do this to Kyle. It was evident, she herself was unaware of her transitioning feelings towards Kyle. ​​

Meru had already decided that if Kyle was unable to pay for it she would do so in his stead, although she would never let him forget about it and was planning to tease the hell out of him if said situation were to happen. Sadly for her she was unaware of the fact that, in terms of individual capital, Kyle was much richer than her at the moment.

On the other side was Tohru, the primary reason for her to order almost every item in the menu was to duplicate the recipes of said dishes and drinks. It is a passing knowledge that Tohru was a prodigy of the highest order. She would be able to learn anything if she were able to see it once; and by seeing the dishes and tasting it, analyzing the amount of ingredients used and the norm she should be able to replicate the dish perfectly and cook it later for them. After further experience in cooking said recipes, she would also be able to add her individual twists and kinks to it, sadly for Kyle and others her version of twist was just using her tail meat in it; it would be a real waste of good food and ingredients!

Now rounding up to Ren, she, as expected, refused to accept his treat. On being asked why she didn't answer and kept looking away. Kyle wasn't irked, though if it were to be someone else Kyle would've been plentifully offended. He also couldn't force her so he left her to pay for her own choices of food. Besides there was another reason for him to not insist on it, he knew that her family was stupidly rich. Money was more worthless than dirt in their eyes and they used it like oxygen or water.

Moreover, even if she didn't pay for her food it wouldn't be a problem, because technically her family owned this whole amusement park. She would be getting freebies everywhere she visits in this place as long as she reveals her identity. She didn't, so she had to pay for this visit, she didn't mind for above mentioned reasons.

After they had eaten their fill, they continued their date. Meru, trying to be a busybody, was planning to join them. Thankfully, she was stopped by the silent Ren. Ren, even though she didn't join their conversation, was listening to them and that's why she was able to figure Meru's motives out and stop her from doing something she knew Meru would regret afterwards.

"What are you doing Meru? They are having a date, you shouldn't interrupt them, it's rude and unreasonable of you to do it." Though she had been single for all her life, she still had experience and more importantly, common sense enough to understand that what Meru was about to do was wrong. She was still a woman after all, and she was sure that if she had been in Tohru's position she wouldn't have liked anyone meddling with her special day. Ren was a girl of exceptional beauty, she had her fair share of experiences trying to be wooed by countless men, sadly for them they were incomparable to her in both power and wealth, moreover her slight misandry was also enough to never let any man succeed at achieving such a feat.

"I know that! But it makes me irritated for some reason to see them so happy together." Meru herself didn't understand what she felt at this moment, it was definitely not how she usually acted, she was running on pure instincts at this point.

Meanwhile Ren squinted, she seemed to have realized what was wrong with her best friend. "Meru..you.."

"What?" Meru looked at her with a quizzical expression.

"No, nevermind. Listen, actually the main reason why I stopped you just now is to avoid that woman, she's very dangerous." Ren's expression was serious as she uttered those words of warning to her friend; she may not look like the type, but she was very observant of her surroundings, naturally she had detected both the hostility and predatory aura that the dragon maid emitted, though since she wasn't the one being directly subjected to it she didn't experience it with the same intensity as Meru did.

This time Meru agreed, clicking her tongue she responded with a serious tone. "Yeah, I know... even though we haven't fought yet, I can tell that woman is extremely strong… all of the opponents I fought till now, even if they're all combined, they couldn't beat that woman… no it feels like she wasn't a human at all..." Meru didn't know that her guess was absolutely accurate.

She couldn't forget that sensation from before, when Tohru stared at her with those eyes, even now she shivered at just remembering it. She felt like a prey that was soon going to be devoured whole at that time.

Meru could only sigh, her heart felt bitter with regret and jealousy as well as frustration. She was aware that she would never be able to beat Tohru, neither in appearance nor in combat; her only consolation now was that she was wealthier than her, she was sure of it.

Either way though, none of it really mattered now, the bitterness in her heart kept on creeping up to her throat till she could practically taste it with every gulp she took, and it kept getting more bitter as she silently stared at Tohru and Kyle's drifting figure, hand in hand, so close together and having so much fun.

The date continued on, they went from one attraction to another fleeting through them, enjoying their time together; it was obviously Tohru's wish and earnest desire to experience everything this trip had to offer and they did. They were very satisfied by this dating event.

For Tohru, this was heavenly; she never, in her long life as a dragon, had experienced so much fun in a single day; it was incomparable. In her world she was barely able to even survive and keep herself alive, much less even think of having fun like she did now, so it was understandable why she dubbed this as the best day of her life.

Time silently passed, it was already afternoon. The sunset was almost gone in its entirety as night had begun to creep on this land. The people in the park were getting fewer and fewer by the second, returning to their designated destinations.

It was almost closing time and Kyle decided to end their date for today. Tohru didn't complain, she was satisfied, for today at the very least. She was smiling brightly in glee as they left the amusement park, their arms intertwining each other's, sticking themselves to each other tightly. The memories they were able to form today would forever be etched in their consciousness.

"Kyle! Today was very fun! Thank you for inviting me to a date, I never thought this date thing could be so much fun."

He gently smiled at her remark, he was extremely delighted to know that she was able to enjoy this day with him, for a moment he was afraid that this date would end in failure, but it seems that he was just thinking too much.

"I'm glad that you enjoyed it."

Silence ensued between them, it was a comfortable silence. None of them spoke but the atmosphere didn't turn awkward, they were clearly enjoying this, savoring each other's company and reminiscing about what they had experienced today. It was really nice and contending.

Finally after a few minutes of walking, Tohru paused her steps and stared up at him, her voice a clear stutter as she spoke. "Kyle...umm... I.."

Seeing her hesitation, he smiled to reassure her and uttered some words of assurance. "What is it? Don't worry no matter what you'll say I'll answer it positively."

With that said, she continued. "T-then.. can we have another date in the future?"

He froze for a moment, registering her words then he started to laugh, it was a carefree laughter of amusement. "Ahahaha, that's it? Sure why not? I was planning to do it anyway and do you really think that this was going to be our last dast? No, this is just the beginning, let's go to many more dates like this in the future shall we?"

His answer was enough to make Tohru smile brightly in glee, she exclaimed excitedly. "Yes, then that's a promise!"

He nodded with a smile. "Yeah, I promise."

The next thing Tohru did, rooted Kyle in place, she tiptoed, leaned closer to his face and gave him a quick yet loving peck in his cheeks. "Thank you, thank you so much for today. I'm very happy and this is the happiest moment of my life."

After kissing his cheeks, she left the intertwining position they were in and left him alone, right now she didn't want him to see her face as she was making a deeply flushed goofy and slightly perverse expression, she would probably die out of embarrassment if he were to see her now.

Kyle on the other hand was in a daze, his brain was unable to register any thoughts for a few moments and when it rebooted, his face adorned a goofy smile, a wide smile from ear to ear. He couldn't control his expression any longer as he felt that the muscles around his mouth had malfunctioned and got jammed in place. His mind was also a dumb mess of incoherent thoughts. 'Did she just just kiss me?! She totally did right?! Oh no I can't control my smile at all! What should I do? I can't let her see this or I wouldn't know how to face her!'

Both were worried about dumb things as they smiled at their own thoughts and basked in each other's presence, this came the ending of the date between the God of Delivery and the bubbly Dragon of Chaos in a sweet naïve tone.
