Hidden Wife : Best Husband Chapter 248

Dae Hyun sighed softly. Right now there were no one to blame because everything had happened. The one who had to take responsibility right now was the person who hurted Soo Yin.
"Don't blame yourself, we better pray that Soo Yin is fine," Dae Hyun said, while looking at the door, which hadn't been open since earlier.
"Yes, sir," Aunt Xia said, while wiping her tears.
Dae Hyun kept pacing back and forth right in front of the operating room door. Since coming to the hospital, he hadn't sat his butt on the chair for a second. His mind was not calm before knowing the condition of his wife and future children.
There was a sound of a door creaking. Making Dae Hyun immediately turned his head towards the door with a pounding heart. He immediately walked toward the door.
Doctor Mi Young came out while opening the door wide.
"Mi Young, how is my wife right now?" Dae Hyun asked, who couldn't wait to find out about his little wife's situation.
Doctor Mi Young didn't answer right away. She wiped her sweaty face with a tissue. Then she looked at the man who had been in her heart. Mi Young's lips were very heavy when she was about to speak.
"Mi Young, quickly tell me how my wife is?" Dae Hyun shook Mi Young's shoulders to quickly answer his question.
Mi Young took a deep breath first. Seeing the man in front of her who looked really worried really made her very jealous. If time could repeat itself, she wanted to go back to how it used to be. But unfortunately all of that was just a dream for her.
"Your wife is fine, but…." Mi Young really can't tell the bad news.
"But what?" Dae Hyun asked in a rising voice.
"But the fetus in her womb can't be saved," Mi Young said softly as she lowered her head. Without realizing it, there were clear droplets falling from her eyelids.

Mi Young remembered Soo Yin's face, which shone brightly when she found out about her pregnancy. Really can't imagine if Soo Yin knew that the fetus she was carrying couldn't be saved.
"What do you mean?" Dae Hyun grabbed Mi Young's shoulder hard, making Mi Young moaned in pain. He could not believe what he heard.
"Your wife had a miscarriage," Mi Young said softly as she held Dae Hyun's firm grip.
It was like being struck by lightning in the daytime, that was what Dae Hyun felt right now. The world seemed to collapse at once hearing Mi Young's statement. His body was limp and wanted to collapse to the floor.
Dae Hyun slowly removed his hand from Mi Young's shoulder. His mind at this time felt empty, making him almost stagger but swiftly he used the other hand to hold on to the wall as his muscles felt weak. He closed his eyes for a moment to be stronger even though from the corner of his eye, there was now water that had stagnated.
"I'm sorry, Dae Hyun. I couldn't save it because it was too late. She was bleeding when she arrived at the hospital. Luckily, your wife can still be saved because of the heavy bleeding ... that almost took her life," Mi Young said with a look of pity. She wanted to feel like embracing him right now to give him strength. But when her hand reached out, Mi Young pulled it back.
As a doctor, Mi Young also felt guilty if she can't save her patient. She felt like it was her responsibility.
"When will she wake up?" Dae Hyun asked, his eyes red and looked haggard.
"Hopefully it won't be long," Mi Young said. Her heart felt a deep sadness for the man in front of her. They had been together for a long time but Dae Hyun never seemed that sad. Even when they parted ways, Dae Hyun looked normal.

Dae Hyun nodded his head. He actually couldn't wait to see his little wife. However, the nurses had to first move her to the inpatient room.
"Dae Hyun, be patient." Mi Young patted Dae Hyun's shoulder lightly to give him a little strength. Then immediately stepped away because right now she needed to rest.
After all the medical equipment was installed on Soo Yin's body, finally Dae Hyun was allowed to enter.
It hurted, it really hurted Dae Hyun to see Soo Yin who was lying weakly on the bed. A breathing apparatus was attached to her nose. This was the second time Dae Hyun had seen Soo Yin's condition like this. With almost the same cause.
Soo Yin's face was pale with bruises almost all over her body. Her thin lips were injured, Dae Hyun could still see the dried blood stained there.
The stomach, which had been sticking out a bit, was now back to its original. Unconsciously a single tear flowed from the corner of Dae Hyun's eye. This time, Dae Hyun couldn't hold back his sadness anymore. If it was possible to ask, let him lied there to replace his little wife.
Dae Hyun sat on the chair next to his little wife's bed. He grabbed Soo Yin's long fingers as he lowered his head. Lament all his guilt which was mounting. But no matter how much regret that he felt, everything had happened.
Dae Hyun kissed Soo Yin's finger for a long time. Really he couldn't bear to look at Soo Yin who was like that.
"Honey, wake up. Don't worry me," Dae Hyun said softly as he put Soo Yin's finger on his lips. Then with his eyes closed, Dae Hyun kissed Soo Yin's forehead gently.
Check….
Suddenly the door to the room opened from outside.
Jean widened her eyes so that she almost fell over to see something she saw. It seemed like she dreamed of seeing her boss gripped her best friend's fingers then kissed her.
Her mind swayed knowing that. Her heart kept asking of what was the relationship between them. If it was just superior and subordinate, why did her boss kissed her. Didn't that feel very strange?
Jean had just been treated by a doctor, her condition was not too good but Jean insisted on seeing Soo Yin's condition first.
There was a bandage wrapped around Jean's head and she was currently using a stick to walk up to Soo Yin's room.
Dae Hyun didn't turn his head, still kissed on Soo Yin's fingers for a while.
With slow steps, because her ankle still hurt so much, Jean approached the bed that Soo Yin occupied.
"Sir?" Jean called softly. Her body trembled as she wondered if there was a special relationship between her best friend and her boss.
Hearing someone called his name, Dae Hyun turned his head towards Jean with a wistful gaze, his face was now expressionless. He still didn't release his grip from Soo Yin's hand. Let Jean know if there was a connection between himself and Soo Yin.
"How is Soo Yin?" Jean asked while looking at Soo Yin who still closed her eyes. Even though she already knew how she was, Jean just wanted to make sure her best friend was okay.
"As you can see," Dae Hyun said bitterly. His lips can't tell how Soo Yin's condition was right now.

Author's Note: As of right now the release schedule for Exodus | Book 2 of the Rise of the Paragon Series will be released weekly on Mondays, and Thursdays at 3:00 pm EST. Writing Rise of the Paragon is a personal experiment of mine in writing a grand-scale novel within the LitRPG genre. I have written some fiction in the past, but none near as ambitious in the content as I eventually envision Rise of the Paragon will be. So! Join me on my journey, provide helpful criticism, edits, or whatever suits your mind! I appreciate any and all feedback!!!! We also have a Discord for anybody who wants to talk all things Rise of the Paragon!! Genesis Discord Also, consider joining my Patreon! Fair Warning: Blue Screens, and somewhat overpowered protagonists! The main character's point of view is described in first person. Every other character is in third person. That's just how I've chosen to present my writing style. REWRITE/REVISE is currently in progress. Any suggestions? Comment on their respective chapters!
