Hidden Wife : Best Husband Chapter 255

Mrs. Park didn't know what to do at this time. Her heart was so touched to see Aeri who was crying very sadly. All she could do was try to calm her daughter-in-law.
"Mother, don't cry," Jo Yeon Ho said with a sad face. Even though he was still a child, Jo Yeon Ho can't bear to see his mother continued to be sad.
Seeing Jo Yeon Ho's adorable face, Aeri immediately stopped her tears and then wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"I'm sorry, dear. Your sibling is no longer there now." Aeri had to convince the two people in front of her that she was really sad so that they would not be suspicious.
Aeri grabbed Jo Yeon Ho's small body to get him closer to her. Hugged him tightly while pouring out her sorrow. Even though it was just a fake sadness.
"Mrs. Park, you've come," Sun Book said, who just entered the room.
"Actually, what happened that caused Aeri to get into an accident?" Mrs. Park asked to reconfirm the cause of Aeri's accident that made her miscarriage.
"I also don't know, because someone contacted me if my daughter had an accident. Look at her, she looks very devastated because she has lost her fetus," Sun Book said while looking at Aeri with a sad face.
"Never mind, the important thing is Aeri's condition is fine even though she has to lose her fetus," Mrs. Park said bitterly. Very sorry that thing could happened. Although, yesterday Dae Hyun said that he wanted to prove something.
"Is your son not be able to come home? He should have looked after Aeri in times like this," Sun Book said.
"Sorry, I forgot to contact Dae Hyun," Mrs. Park said. She immediately reached for her cellphone that was in her bag.

It didn't take long before the telephone connection was connected.
"Dae Hyun, have you finished your work?" Mrs. Park asked, not knowing that Dae Hyun had actually returned to Seoul.
"What's wrong, Mom?" Dae Hyun asked from across the phone.
"Aeri… Aeri just had an accident. She really needs your presence right now," Mrs. Park said, though not sure if her son will come home. At least she had told him.
"An accident?" Dae Hyun's voice was heard rising.
"Yes, she even lost her fetus," Mrs. Park stammered a little.
"Really? Too bad I can't go home yet, Mom. I have some work to do right away," Dae Hyun said.
"All right, when it's finished you hurry home. Mother is very sorry to see her because Aeri looks very devastated," Mrs. Park said. As a mother, she also felt bad for Sun Book if her son didn't come home.
"Hmmm," Dae Hyun said.
Mrs. Park did her best to persuade Dae Hyun to come home even if it didn't work. She thought about her son if he might not love his wife anymore. She can only surrender to obey whatever her son wanted. She can't arrange Dae Hyun's life the way she wanted because her son was old enough. Right now all she can do was try to calm Aeri and her mother.
==============================
Pyongyang Maternity Hospital,
Dae Hyun just finished a call from his mother. As a man who still had a conscience, Dae Hyun actually wanted to see Aeri's current state. But it was impossible to leave his little wife when her condition was still like this.
But it felt very coincidence that Aeri and Soo Yin miscarried at about the same time. Dae Hyun thought that Aeri had intentionally aborted it for fear of being caught. Regretted that yesterday he did not immediately take her to see the doctor. Dae Hyun did not want to worry, because wether there was an evidence or not, he will still divorce her.

Soo Yin was still devastated because she just lost her baby. Ever since she woke up she didn't even want to eat even though Dae Hyun had persuaded her many times. She was still pensive then suddenly would cry.
It made Dae Hyun feel tight in his chest to see his little wife like that. Unexpectedly, Soo Yin really wanted her baby's presence. Whereas in the past she said that she would not want to have children yet.
Dae Hyun went back into the room to see Soo Yin again. His little wife seemed to be sitting on the bed while staring blankly. Her gaze was fixed on the glass window with the curtain that was slightly ajar. Stares at the sky that was getting dark. It could be seen that there were crystal beads that was pooling in her eyelids.
It hurted Dae Hyun to see that his wife had not accepted all the harsh reality. Even though he also felt the same, he still tried to be strong. Really, having a baby with Soo Yin was something he really craved for. But it seemed that fate had said something else.
"Honey, you should eat," Dae Hyun persuaded tirelessly as he took the bowl filled with porridge from the top of the nightstand.
Soo Yin remained unmoved in her position then shook her head lightly. Even though Dae Hyun was already preparing to bribe her. Seeing his wife who didn't want to eat, Dae Hyun took a deep breath and then he put the bowl of porridge back on the nightstand.
Dae Hyun cupped the face of his little wife who looked gloomy. There was not even the slightest radiance of happiness from her face.
Soo Yin met her husband's gaze with swollen and reddened eyes. Nearly half a day Soo Yin did not stop her crying.
"Honey, don't be like this," Dae Hyun said bitterly as he drank his saliva.
Soo Yin remained silent as she continued to stare into the eagle eyes of the man she loved so much. She felt very guilty for not being able to take care of her baby. She should've fought them that night.
Instantly Soo Yin's tears broke out again. With a sob, she pressed her head against her husband's chest. Poured out the feelings of disappointment, guilt and loss that were so deep.
For her it was not that easy to forget everything. It took time to accept the bitter circumstances that had befallen her.
"Honey, stop blaming yourself," Dae Hyun said softly. He had said it over and over again but Soo Yin still blamed herself. His heart broke even more when he heard Soo Yin who kept sobbing.

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.

The merger will not only affect the world, but also the beings on it, and humanity must mingle with other species or die out. Everybody will need to determine the other-dimensional race to pick. The world leaders have known of this for many years and have tried preparing people by creating popular fiction, games, and movies. These are nothing more than tutorials of what is about to happen.

Virtual reality: Chaos theory
Rak Devion is a Scion of the Devion family. Scion in this case meaning a descendant of a rich family. Rak like every other human is thrown into the virtual reality named after its creator, Chaos theory. This reality is the artful design, some would say machiniation, of the General Artificial Intelligence Chaos theory. Chaos theory has a singular purpose that has manifested itself in such a way that the world falls into its control but the apocalyptic end never comes and instead a rather dystopian world emerges, one in the form of a virtual reality and the other the changing reality everyone lives in. The story revolves around the experiences of Rak Devion, one of Devion’s family children. He enjoys creating business opportunities and follows the family motto to charge a head and forge new paths.

Tabula Rasa : An Unbound Adventure
It starts as many things do: a clean slate, an empty page. What once was set in stone and wholly writ is gone, and all that's left is the vague notion of absence, a fullness lacking. The feeling of being tetherless, pathless, without direction or responsibility is something many would find terrifying. Others might find it freeing - an opportunity to strike out on new adventures and explore the unknown.Either way, first they have to figure out where they are and how they leave. ====== My first novel on this platform! An avid GameLit/LitRPG fan, I decided to start writing this when I seemed to exhaust all of my options for well reviewed content on the site! Inspiration for the world/general feeling is a mix of Azarinth Healer, Abyssal Road Trip, Winterborn, and the Power of Ten series, with a strong reliance on 3.5 and PF1 frameworks as a scaffold for the world. I see Arc 1 as a Robinson Crusoe style coming to terms scenario, lots of exploration of the System, the MC's options, the island and encounters with the denizens and visitors of the Timeless Isle, with a non-zero amount of introspection around their long term goals. I'll publish as frequently as I'm able but don't have a regular cadence planned at the moment.
