Hidden Wife : Best Husband Chapter 289

Jo Yeon got out of the tent. He was engrossed in watching the kite flying high above the clouds.
Meanwhile, Soo Yin still continued to cheer because the woman left them. She felt so relieved that nothing was bothering them anymore.
"You shameless! Teasing a husband in front of his wife," Soo Yin grumbled while she put her hands on her hips.
Dae Hyun just smiled at his wife who looked very upset.
"It turns out that my wife is good at getting rid of women who try to seduce her husband," Dae Hyun said, chuckling with amusement at the way she was done to get rid of that woman. Min-seok must have been so embarrassed earlier.
"Of course, anyone who dares to tease my husband is ready to fight me," said Soo Yin as she snorted at Min-seok who had disappeared from her sight.
"You also shouldn't look at women in sexy clothes anymore. If you still do it, get ready because I will gouge out your eyeballs," Soo Yin threatened with fiery eyes towards Dae Hyun.
"Geez, how cruel is my wife even though she's very cute when she smiles," Dae Hyun said with a mischievous glance.
"Calm down, even though there are thousands of women who don't wear clothes in front of me, it won't make me tempted," Dae Hyun said as he grabbed Soo Yin's waist from the side.
"Let go, Yeon Ho will see us later," Soo Yin said while trying to escape.
"It's okay. Just let him know that you are his mother too," Dae Hyun said casually.
"No need to joke. Get away quickly, how can we win if you're like this?" said Soo Yin while pursing her lips.
"Okay, but you better invite Yeon Ho to fly the kite. He looks impatient," Dae Hyun said as he let go of his hand that was hugging Soo Yeon's waist. He looked at Jo Yeon Ho standing some distance from their current position. The boy was looking up at the sky.

"Remember, if that woman comes again you have to throw her out," Soo Yin said once again while narrowing her eyes.
"Yes, honey," Dae Hyun said, while smiling amusedly knowing his little wife was jealous. But it made him very happy. So now it was Soo Yin who really loved him.
They were completely reversed. It wasn't Soo Yin who cooked the rice but Dae Hyun did it. Soo Yin was instead told to fly a kite with her son. Did not wanting to get them hot, but Dae Hyun just wanted to give them time to get closer.
"Remember, don't go too far," Dae Hyun said as if giving a message to his son.
"We won't be too far away," Soo Yin said while turning back a little then immediately stepped toward Jo Yeon Ho.
"Yeon Ho, do you want to fly a kite like them?" Soo Yin asked while pointing at the crowd of people who were playing kites.
Jo Yeon Ho nodded his head quickly. Since earlier he actually wanted to ask Soo Yin but was afraid she wouldn't want to.
"Can you fly it?" asked Jo Yeon Ho doubtfully.
"We'll have to try to find out," she said.
Soo Yin, then asked Jo Yeon Ho to buy kites from the sellers who had been selling their wares for a long time. There were various forms and colors. Even the size was also very diverse from the smallest to the largest.
"Choose what you want. But don't get too big later we can't fly it," Soo Yin suggested.
Jo Yeon Ho understood so he chose a dragon-shaped kite with a medium size. After paying it, they immediately joined at the large field with the others.
Most of them were men with their children. There was almost no women. Only Soo Yin was a rather mature woman there. Maybe their mother was in charge of participating in the rice cooking competition. It's not like Soo Yin who instead played kites.

Jo Yeon Ho was in charge of holding the kite while Soo Yin was in charge of carrying the thread and running to pull the kite so that it can fly. But it was not as easy as it looked, Soo Yin had even tried it several times but can't fly it. But seeing the excited Jo Yeon Ho made her try even harder.
Until finally there were several adult men who approached them. They can't bear to see Soo Yin who was already exhausted with a shiny forehead from sweating.
"Miss, let us help. You'd better just rest," said a young man who seemed to have just managed to fly a kite for his son.
"That's right, don't let your pretty face be exposed to the sun for too long," teased one of the men again.
"Where is your father? Why let his daughter and son fly it alone?"
"Geez, what an irresponsible man." One of the men looked annoyed because he let his daughter play in the hot sun. Meanwhile, his father did not know where he was.
Soo Yin only smiled at the statement they made. It seemed that the men thought that she was still a little girl. Maybe because of her slender body.
Soo Yin didn't know that Dae Hyun was standing not far from there. He continued to observe the people who have helped his wife fly the kites.
"Ughh, not here, not at home. There's always someone who's trying to tease her," Dae Hyun muttered while chuckling irritably. He chose to leave the tent because many mothers came and it made him very uncomfortable.
Now, he saw his wife being seduced by men. Even so, Dae Hyun didn't want to go there. Let them first successfully fly the kite. What a shame if they were wasted.
Soo Yin and Jo Yeon Ho jumped in joy after their kite flies off. Until she didn't realize Dae Hyun, who was already behind her only a few meters away.
"Thank you everyone, you are very kind to us," Soo Yin said sincerely while bending her body a little.
"Ah, no problem."
"If you want to fly more kites just give us a call."
Soo Yin only repaid their kindness with a smile etched sweetly on her lips. Hopefully her husband didn't know so she won't get into trouble.
"Thank you again," said Soo Yin as she bowed her body.
"No problem, it's not difficult. We are just helping," said one of the men.
The men waved their hands at Soo Yin before finally returning with their respective sons who had been waiting.
"Father!" Jo Yeon Ho called while jumping happily when he saw Dae Hyun who was already behind Soo Yin.
Instantly Soo Yin's heart stopped beating for a while.
"Father?" Soo Yin muttered softly with a racing heart. Again, she felt like she was caught cheating on Dae Hyun. In fact, she didn't do it at all.
Soo Yin took a deep breath before finally turning back.
"Hi, sir," Soo Yin said, pretended not to realize what she had done wrong.
Soo Yin grimaced while scratching the back of her head which was not itchy. Since when was her husband standing there? Has it been since earlier?

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
