Hidden Wife : Best Husband Chapter 426

Griffin Bar,
Jean was very surprised when she saw that the man she had not seen for a long time was now in a pitiful state. Jean had just arrived because tonight she got a shift from night to morning so she didn't know what had happened.
According to some people, Park Soo Hyun was involved in a fistfight with a fellow bar patron. They were both overcome with emotion because of drunkenness. And was very difficult to separate because they both seemed to want to kill.
Park Soo Hyun's opponent had already left the bar with the help of his friend. Meanwhile, Park Soo Hyun was still lying there because no one brought him home. His face was covered in bruises from the impact. His nose and the corners of his lips were bleeding because dried blood was still stuck to them.
"Master, why are you like this?" said Jean pitifully. Couldn't hold back the pity she was feeling right now. It was like she felt pain that hit her face when she saw Park Soo Hyun's wound.
"Jean, do you know him?" asked one of the men who was her co-worker.
"Yeah, I know him," Jean stammered.
"Could you call his family to come pick him up?"
"Let me take care of it. Can you help me carry him to one of the rooms?" Jean considered everything, it was impossible to bring Park Soo Hyun home in such a state. His mother must be very worried.
The man nodded his head, then helped to carry Park Soo Hyun to the second floor with Jean.
Jean immediately took the first aid kit to treat the wound on Park Soo Hyun's face. Honestly, she couldn't bear to see him because she was used to seeing his handsome face without any flaws. Very different from now that even his eyelids were blackened from the blow.

Carefully, Jean wiped Park Soo Hyun's face with a small towel with warm water.
"Soo Yin, how could you so cruel to me," Park Soo Hyun raved in an indistinct voice but Jean could still hear him.
Jean stopped what she was doing. This time she guessed that maybe Soo Yin had rejected him.
"Soo Yin, tell me who you went with," Park Soo Hyun chirped back with his eyes tightly closed.
"Sir, please don't be like this," Jean whispered in such a sad tone.
Seeing him heartbroken really made her feel the pain. It turned out that Park Soo Hyun loved Soo Yin so much that he had made it this far.
Park Soo Hyun must have been filled with emotions for being rejected by Soo Yin.
=============
Without realising, the sun was starting to show its light. Jean rubbed her eyes as she looked around the room.
Jean was quite surprised to have fallen asleep on the floor in a sitting position. Her head rested on Park Soo Hyun's arm which was on the sofa. She massaged her temples as she remembered that last night she did not work. Even though last night was her shift. It seemed like she must get ready to have her salary cut this month.
There was the sound of a cell phone ringing in Park Soo Hyun's pocket.
Jean let it until it turned off because she felt uncomfortable to have to answer it without permission. But the phone rang again, so Jean had to carefully reach into it.
Park Soo Hyun was still fast asleep so he didn't feel the vibration or Jean's hand.
There was the name 'mother' printed on the phone screen. Jean guessed that it was Mrs. Park.
"Hello, good morning," Jean said carefully and felt very nervous.

"Soo Yin, is this you? Where are you? Why can't I contacted since last night?" asked Mrs. Park, barraged from across the phone.
"I'm Jean, not Soo Yin," she said with a pounding chest from talking to a woman who was expected to be her mother-in-law.
"Jean? Then where is Park Soo Hyun? Why are you two together?"
"Master is at the Griffin Bar. I just happened to find him drunk last night," said Jean, afraid that Mrs. Park will be shocked and angry
"What?" shouted Mrs. Park.
Mrs. Park's voice was so deafening, until Jean kept the phone away from her ear. Her eardrums felt like they were about to burst. Luckily it was Park Soo Hyun's mother so Jean could still hold back her emotions.
"Jean, I'm sorry if I startled you. Right now I'm going to ask someone to pick him up. Please look after him for a moment," said Mrs. Park after a moment of silence.
"Yeah, that's fine," said Jean.
Jean put the phone back into Park Soo Hyun's trouser pocket even though it was a bit difficult.
Just about to walk away, Park Soo Hyun had held her hand. Made Jean stop in her tracks, her heart was beating very fast again.
"Soo Yin, don't go," Park Soo Hyun muttered quietly.
Jean just froze where she stood, felt the pain of hearing Park Soo Hyun say the name of another girl in front of her. Even that girl had broken his heart.
In fact, even though they hadn't seen each other for a long time, Jean's feelings for Park Soo Hyun were still the same as before.
Jean turned back to see Park Soo Hyun who was still closing his eyes.
With a slow motion, Jean released Park Soo Hyun's grip from her hand. She had to go out to explain to the bar manager if she still wanted to work there.
Half an hour later, finally the subordinate of Mrs. Park, who was about to pick up Park Soo Hyun, came.
Jean chose to hide when she saw them took Park Soo Hyun away. She didn't want to get involved with the man any further. Just observed the handsome face that still closed his eyes from a distance.
The people who supported him even seemed to have a hard time.

This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country.
