The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 116

Outside, the audience were betting on who would be the first to cross the second boundary.
But most were betting to Roman Hammerhelm. Followed by Hilion and the other experts from great noble families. There was also an irregular adventurer who was second only to Roman with the highest points. His codename was Gath Rainripper, a rank platinum adventurer.
He was a mysterious person who shot his rank in the adventurers guild in just a couple of months after joining.
They were wondering where that person went, the one who was always chilling under the tree. The monitoring devices had never caught sight of him again. The last time they saw him he was chilling under the tree. And they noticed someone was fighting near it, but before the camera could record them, the video suddenly lost connection. Perhaps it was him fighting someone, then they unintentionally hit the Monitoring Device. This is what the majority of the audience thought.
At this moment,
Inside the cave,
Cinder closed her eyes and sniffed. People from the Canine Sect were gifted by exceptional smelling ability than the rest demi-humans with wolf bloodline. Tiafel and Taflas also closed their eyes. Encan people since birth were known for their sharp hearing.
These abilities were their passive skills.
On the other hand, the Dwarf people had high instinct but they needed to further train this ability to execute this skill. However, Aegor wasn't able to do it yet.
To fight the [Dark Gremlins] one must not look them through the eyes, but by perception using the other senses.
What Yman did had bore something within the poor girl's eyes, it brightened with admiration towards him. Although still exhausted, she summoned her [Shapeless Flame].
Not only her, but even the others also understood that this person with them was truly unordinary.
After hearing his words about the enemy, all of them finally understood why he was shooting at them with his face facing the opposite direction.
Because [Dark Gremlins] had an ability that enabled them to detect their target's blind spot. Not just that, they were good with hallucination magic as well.
Even the [Dark Gremlins] were surprised at what Yman did. They were shot down one by one using stones! Looks like these people were no ordinary targets! They thought.
Geeeeeeee! One of them screeched sharply, which the others understood. It was a signal for them to retreat.

Unfortunately, before they could run away — flames, lumps of soil, and wind magic rapidly shot to them.
But they were more concerned about those stones. They were deadly and have high magical and physical force.
The text, [You obtained 40 points for killing Rank B Monster!] repeatedly appeared on the rectangular holographic screen in front of Yman.
The same thing happened to Cinder, Tiafel, and Taflas. Only Aegor was not able to kill one.
After a few seconds, the remaining [Dark Gremlins] had managed to escape. These type of monster was not the type who engage with their enemies in a head-on confrontation. Once the target was able to fight back, they would immediately escape. For them, this day was the most unlucky day to encounter such a weird enemy that could shoot them with stones.
Yman grinned, he knew that everything in this world wasn't real, but these monsters acted the way how the real one should act. He really was wondering how this world works. But it seemed to him that it was a kind of high-level illusion magic.
Although it was unnoticeable on his face, he was actually very interested to learn how this world works, and the magic behind it. It might help him advance his illusion magic to a new height.
At the moment, his magic illusion could only create a copy of himself. But it won't move and just stood like a statue or mannequin. With his Black Miasma, he could alter the vision of the enemy for a few seconds, and make him invisible in the eyes of an enemy.
Making a copy of himself, at the same time making himself invisible from the enemy's vision could trick his opponent and divert their attacks.
But if they figured out the trick behind it, it would be a useless illusion.
He needed a perfect illusion. That could act on his own. Like the monsters in this world.
Regardless,
After everyone had their rest, the group decided to advance to search for another entrance.
However, they found out that this cave wasn't just an ordinary cave as it was littered with various types of monsters.
They even encountered a Rank B+ Wanderer Worm Mole.
It has the body of Mole and the tail of a worm. It has a size of 25 meters tall and about 5-7 width. This monster was strong and hard to deal with — in a place such as this cave. Because it burrowed itself and hid in the ground. Then attack in surprise to them when they were unaware.

Not just that, it also scattered poison which was very deadly.
Once again, they were reminded of how awesome Crimson was. The poison had no effect on him. Not just that, he had the raw strength that was not ordinary. He was able to cause the monster to stagger when the tail of the monster and his punch collided.
'Is this person was hiding his strength the whole time?!' They thought. If his life would not be put in a disadvantageous situation, he would not even bother showing it.
But the enemy as expected was not an easy opponent as it was a Rank B+ Wanderer, to begin with. For the people in the empire, it was a Rank 4 Spirit Beast.
Woosh~~~ Bang!
He was sent flying and crashed on the stone pillar that connected the ground and ceiling.
"Crimson!" Cinder shouted.
"Cough cough! Ugh, damn is that monster unkillable?!" They heard Crimson's complaint. But in their minds, 'No buddy, you are the most unkillable here! Look, you are fighting a Rank 4 Spirit Beast head on! And was sent flying a couple of times! Then that monster pierced you a couple of times by its needle that was shot from its wobbly greyish tail tip!'
However, before their faces twisted to bitter and sour, the wound was already gone.
"!!"
After hearing his complaints about the monster, "Ngh, why do I even bother myself worrying about him," Cinder muttered with a blank face?
For some reason, he suddenly suggested taking the rule of a tank even though he didn't have shield equipment. He wasn't even materializing a shield with mana. Only using basic magic to fortify his body.
They wondered why….. Is he a battle freak?
Cinder remembered he used a thin crimson shield when he protected Miss Ella from the attackers. But why wasn't he using it here and just let himself get beaten by the Rank 4 Spirit Beast?
His reason was simple. Aside from no one among them having the ability to slow down the effect of poison except him, he also wanted to test something.
Yman noticed his HP(Health Points) going up and down. Actually, after he contracted the demon he also got this passive skill known as [Health Regeneration].
In which any wounds his body took would be healed per second. The amount of regeneration was dependent on the total amount of his health points.
Watching the number being displayed whenever a regeneration took effect, he came to the conclusion that at the moment, his total HP regenerate was 3% of his total HP.
But it wasn't only the reason why Yman summoned his Status Screen.
Yman closed it again and a grin happened on his face. His face was wearing a delighted expression.
He used [Mana Coating] on his right hand and summoned a fire, then shot himself towards the enemy who was currently charging towards the three comrades.
After kicking hard at the ground that caused it to cave-in, his whole body shot like a comet and intercepted the enemy before it's needle tail could fire.
Bang!
-25000 HP
A loud explosive collision that followed by a red text was noticeable when his fire-fist landed on the monster's massive face.
The monster was sent like a bowling ball, and it broke a number of stone pillars before it's massive body stopped on the wall and bore on it creating a hole with an identical frame to it.
Yman eyed Cinder, which she understood. Before the monster could burrow into the ground, a massive [Shapeless Flame] was shot to it, which insta-killed the monster.
Ground-type monster was weak against fire.
Each of them got 100 share points for killing it. The group continued to advance. After the monster was defeated, they became light particles, like when the participants died.
After killing it, they rest for a bit before continuing their search.
However, Yman was unaware, the admiration of the girl beside him was building up. She saw him as someone reliable. If there is something upsetting about him, it was his Elemental Magic. Other than that, was way beyond everyone's comprehension.
His fire was pitiable. Which the other agreed. Yman also knew about it.
Cinder tried to open a conversation about it. And tried giving him some pointers on how to enhance his fire magic.
"What? I need to own my own fire….. What do you mean by it?"
He asked.
Cinder smirked. After all, she was a fire genius, that second only to his mother in the Lupine Family.

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.
