The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 135

"What do you mean by 6 people only?!"
"Wait, are there a fewer number of enemies on that side?"
"No, Young Master, there were supposedly more than a thousand monsters on that side."
"Do you mean more than a thousand monsters were defeated by 6 people only? Are you kidding us?" Harou asked with close smiling eyes.
"Ah-I mean, some participants already brawled with the monsters but they were at the losing side until those 6 people arrived."
Inside the room, there were a total of 5 people together with Harou, Lyka, and the scout. But both of them were doubtful at the scout's words.
"Are those 6 from the great family experts?" He asked again.
The scout did not ponder for long when he answered, "two of them are from your family sect, Young Master."
"Lupine twins?"
The scout nodded.
It made Harou more doubtful. He had no idea how strong Cinder was since she seldom came to family gatherings. But that idiot Ember, he was the weakest among their age inside the family sect.
'And six people fighting against a thousand monsters? What kind of joke is this?'
Seeing the doubtful faces of the people around him, the scout opened his mouth once again. "Young Master, the cause of their success are those Black Spirit Beasts!"
The last words took his interest.
"B-Black Spirit Beasts?" Harou repeated his words and asked, "what do you mean?"
"Yeah, one of them could summon such a beast. And the weirdest about it is….. not only one but multiple!"
"....."
To be honest, it wasn't surprising to see an expert summoning multiple spirit beasts at the same time.
"...really, those near 20 black spirit beasts are nearly invincible," added the scout.
"What?!"
Everyone exclaimed.
The scout explained to them all the details he knew.
How can someone control so many? Harou and the others couldn't believe it. And nearly invincible Spirit Beasts? They started to feel curious about it.
Based on the scout's information, they could reach there in 3 hours of nonstop travel using their speed-type Spirit Beasts.
Without wasting time, Harou decided to advance towards the west.
Outside, everyone was flabbergasted after witnessing a domineering fight. Who would expect that those black creatures are so OP(Overpower)!
Their flame breath could eliminate multiple enemies at one shot. And they were weirdly effective even against the demons who were known by their high resistance in the fire.
They could not process all the things that happened awhile ago!
Some audiences wanted to change their bet, but the betting was already close because the participants were already at the final stage of the elimination round.

Right at this moment, Mr. Faye announces the new top rank in points.
Rank 1 Cinde Rayla Lupine.
Rank 2 The Mysterious.
Rank 3 Gath Rainripper.
Everyone was wondering why the young miss had a rapid increase in her points even though the number of monsters she killed was lower than the summoned creatures of 'The Mysterious!'
They also noticed that every time those creatures killed the enemies, two people got the point increased, and she was one of them. But most of them were not bothered by it. However, some leaders from great families were watching the competition with great interest.
Nonetheless,
The audience could not forget when that person 'The Mysterious' walked towards the Skeleton Elder. He was being swarmed by 200 plus enemies.
Using his normal fighting ability, he fought with them like a mad man. Killing them one after another with a conventional method.
While the fight was ongoing, everyone had their jaws dropped on the ground.
They wondered if the guy was a psycho.
He wasn't even using a weapon. Well, he occasionally took the weapons of the enemy he killed then used it against them.
Sometimes, he even grabbed some stones and bricks on the ground, he fortified them using low tier spells [Strengthening] and [Durability], then threw it towards the enemies.
Everyone was watching him with uncertain faces. How come there's someone who fights like him? All of them thought so.
The weirdest things they noticed while he was fighting were the demons, they seemed like they were avoiding confronting him. Only the beasts and skeletons that were charging at him.
Right after killing all the beasts that the range enemies on top of the walls were bombarded by his teammates who were riding the black birds. Then the two men with him together with those black creatures rushed forward and confronted the last wave of the enemies.
After losing the backup, he started rushing towards the Skeleton Elder who at that time lost the protection from those on the walls.
The audience and those who died recently in that world inside the painting shook their heads when they noticed him moving near the pagoda.
Most of them knew that the leaking mist from it was bad news. However, everyone was dumbfounded again when he passed by on it while at the same time killing the newly respawned skeleton. Not only the audiences were astonished seeing him unbothered by the leaking mist. Even the Skeleton Elder gawked in disbelief.
Though half of the Mouse-model [Enhance Fire Dolls] dissipate after the mana inside them emptied.
The empress and Ella, well, they were as dumbfounded as the others.

They once again focused their eyes on the screen when they noticed him confronting the Skeleton Elder.
The Skeleton Elder tried to distance himself while raining dark spells at him.
Skeleton Elder was known for their 'debuffs'.
They could use poison, freeze, sleep, and any ailments that lowered their enemy's capability.
Yman threw some fortified stones, but the Skeleton Elder used a force shield. The fortified stone became useless against it, especially that he was a level 3 magician only.
He used his [Rapid Leap] ability to shorten their distance, but the enemy used [Shadow Steps] to distance from him.
Yman got excited, truly, the Elder Class enemies were not an easy opponent, even though it was only a copy of the original.
But when the bee that he sent above finally returned to him, he grinned under the hood.
Then, Yman summoned his last batch of [Fire Dolls].
The suicide squad! His bee [Fire Dolls]!
About 50 of them swarmed towards the Skeleton Elder.
The Elder tried to escape, but sting attacks from 50 bees were not easy to evade. Surrounded by [Force Shield], it decided to confront the bees.
However, not only the bees that came to surround it. Half of the Mouse-model also came.
Finally, after an hour and a half of fighting, the Skeleton Elder lost when one of the bees managed to explode below it. The Elder lost its balance, but it managed to regain its balance in no time. However, it was already too late, he was already surrounded. All of the bees charged towards it and the remaining Mouse-model fired their flames. After that, there was a big explosion that shook the area.
An Elder class monster usually held a grimoire with them. Unfortunately, this one was only a copy.
But Yman did not bother by it.
Yman and the others took a break for a while after claiming the wall.
Yman sent a small bird [Fire Doll] to scout the place and have a bird's view of the entire place.
The bird flew higher and towards the distance. He learned that the walls were connected by four bridges. The western, eastern, southern, and northern bridges. These bridges ran towards the next line of defense.
And in the middle where all the bridges converged. A castle surrounded by a small version of walls could be found.
It was half a kilometer away from their location. Yman also noticed a group of monsters crossing on the western and northern bridges.
"Looks like the other participants went to the northern part," he mumbled.
"Is it? They might be planning to reunite with the other experts," said Cinder who was beside him.
At the moment, they were grilling some jerkies on top of the wall.
They needed more strength for the final clash.
Cinder secretly sneaked a glance at him. Wondering why this person had so much stamina. And the way he fought, she didn't know how to describe it.
He fought without a pattern or technique. All of the things would become a deadly weapon in his hand. Even the fortified stone was deadly.
'How can someone fling a stone like it was a bullet?!
Except for those high ranking experts, only this person can do it,' thought Cinder.
"Gyahaha, I think my breakthrough will come sooner than I expected. By the way bro, from what family are you?" A sudden throw of question from Ember. That was currently gnawing a big piece of grilled jerky.
Yman didn't know how to answer his question. Aside from that, his sister, the girl beside him, already knew that he was a human and not a Demihuman.
Seeing his troubled face under his hood.
"You shut up stupid, brother! Why don't you go and train your elemental spells," said Cinder while sending a wink to Crimson.
Yman forced a soundless laugh.
The six of them were surrounding the bonfire while gnawing their grilled jerkies. Most of them were already exhausted except for Crimson and Ember.
Yman also was surprised by Ember's stamina. Looks like this guy had weak elemental spells but high stamina.
Everyone was laughing when Cinder was pestering her brother to train his elemental spells.
Ember was wondering why their role had reversed for some reason. He was usually the one who pestered her to train.
Well, there's nothing he could do at the moment because only his [Partial Transformation] Artefact was with him. His stronger one was frozen inside his spatial ring.
Around 25 participants came to join their group. They were the leftovers from the recent battle before their group arrived.
At the moment, those 25 were resting on top of the wall while eating their grilled jerkies.
They were gossiping about that guy. He fought like crazy. And those summoned black creatures of him. What the f**k are those?! Thanks to their groups, they managed to survive as well.
Yman checked his status screen. He saw a noticeable increase in his Dexterity and Charisma.

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
