The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 165

While Crimson and the others steadily go towards the western part of the Empire.
His scout bee transmitted something to his vision that piqued his interest.
His mouth extended into a smile.
"Rea, I have something needed to do back there." He said while beckoning at the back. To where they come from.
"What do you mean? We will go back?" She asked.
"No, I mean I will go back alone. I will follow after you when I am done."
"Ehh? Then how will you go there?" Rea was puzzled. Wondering what this person was talking about. He wanted to go back alone…'Wait! Will he be going to throw us off of the Transport Bird?!' Rea knitted her brows at the thought. She opened her mouth, but before she could voice out what was in her mind, her mouth was hung open when a big black bird appeared from out of thin air. Probably from his storage, which Miss Cinde told her before.
She said Crimson was storing his creation from his storage. And that she shouldn't be surprised if he pulled something out of the norm from out of thin airs. Or without summoning a summoning array or Artefact. Even an Artefact needed to feed with mana by the owner to activate it.
But this person was conveniently storing his creation like some kind of equipments.
The two kids with them blink their eyes, wondering where the blackbird came from.
Without waiting for Rea's next words. He jumped on top of the Enhance Fire Doll bird.
"Wait Crimso—!"
Before Rea could finish her words. He already sped up towards the area where the gorilla was running amok.
He canceled the Artefact armor. His white long jacket was fluttering after the leather armor with a silver chest plate disappeared from his body. But Yman took off also his long white jacket and stored it inside his storage. In exchange, he took a black jacket from his storage and decided to wear it.
He then increased the speed of the Fire Doll bird.
In the Market area. The beast was still rampaging. Many victims died from its hands.
The Empire's guards and soldiers could not do a thing about it. It was too strong beyond their capability.
"Nooooo!"
"Wait, wait!"
Rooooaaaarrrrr!!!
"Aaaaaaaahh!!!"
"Where are the Experts?!"
"They are coming!"
"Shit! They are so slow. We are as good as corpses by the time they arrive!"
RAAAAAWWWWRRR!!! The monster's howl could send chills down their spines.
"Shit another boulder attack! Watch out!" Shouted one of the soldiers.
"Miles, boost me!" One of the soldiers asked to the other soldier beside him.
"Do you wish to suicide, Tom?"
"Of course not! I'm going to lure it in an empty place. If no one can do it, I'm afraid this whole place will become a ruin," said Tom.
"Watch out!"
"Dammit! Another Scattered Shot of dense purplish energy!"
After a loud howl, around the beast, some purplish spheres were materializing. Electrical sparks were visible on their surface that Tseemed like snakes circling around every sphere. Each sphere has the radius of half a meter.
Not long when all the spheres shone, they shot in unperceivable speed by a low level person.
It was followed by loud scattered explosions.
Thump! The concrete debris fell on the ground when someone beneath it forcefully pushed it away.
"Cough! Cough! Dammit! That almost killed me!" Tom whimpered.
"Thanks Tom…"
"Don't sweat it. Nevertheless, that thing was so strong."

If not because Tom jumped and pushed them both on the ground, Miles for sure is already dead at the moment.
But not all were as lucky as them. Those unlucky fellows who got hit by the attack either died on the spot or lost some body parts.
Outside the Main City of the Empire. Three silhouettes materialized behind the North Hill. They magically appeared after a flash of bluish light.
All of them have suspicious attire as they were covered in black clothing from head to toe.
"Damn it!" One of them spat. "Fang, try to contact the others!" He commanded.
"Yes, Boss!" Fang agreed and took a device from behind the cloth. It was a convenient human device that enabled people to contact people from around the world.
After a couple of seconds without reply, "Boss, negative."
"Shit, so they were all taken down. Looks like they knew about our plan and lured us by intentionally letting the princess roaming around without bodyguards!" Scar realized his biggest mistake.
"Sorry Boss, I didn't notice either that they already laid the traps before we took our action!" Said Fang with a sorry face under his hood.
"Forget it, it was already happened…" he shrugged then glanced at the third person. "By the way, you are the newbie right?" Scar asked. It's easy to guess that this person was a newbie from their group because most of the newbies were weirdly silent and had problems interacting with others. But when they started interacting with them, they mostly became the noisiest one later on.
"Yes."
Scar could not discern if the person behind the cloth was a woman or a man.
"I see. Thanks for using that expensive item for use to escape from entanglement."
"It was the least I could do."
"Good. What's your name?"
"Gath."
"Gath? Mmm… sounds familiar," Fang butt in. The name of this person rang a bell but he could not remember where he heard it. "In any case, what are we going to do now, Boss?" He asked Scar.
"Hmm… let's go back to the Nara Kingdom to report to His Highness. And also to recruit some men."
"Okay, Boss!"
"Let's go!"
"Aye!"
The three people started moving. To arrive at the Nara Kingdom, they needed to walk for a month or more. But if they ride a carriage it could shorten into weeks, and days if they ride a transport bird.
Coming to the empire was a fruitless adventure for them! They lost their men in the process and failed to accomplish the mission. In honesty, Scar was skeptical of going back to the Nara Kingdom. There was a high chance that His Highness would take his life for this big failure.
In the Empire's palace. Sitting on her throne.
The group of the Royal Knights knights were standing guard behind her. All of them were wearing shiny golden armor. The Royal Knight-Captain Borge Bergal was present as well. As Her Majesty Empress Elleanna Encanta's protector he must stand beside her whenever he's on duty. Not only him, but all of the members of Royal Knights were present inside the room.
Elleana was contemplating when a shadow came out in front of her.
It was the burly shadow of a man. Seeing the shadow, the other member of the Royal Knights gulped. Although both of them were protectors of the empress, the Royal Knights understood that these groups of shadows were the most mysterious group for all the protectors of her majesty.

Not even the Royal Knight-Captain knows their real persona. They only knew that they were a group of people who specialize in killing the empress's enemies and protecting her from the invisible danger, like plotting against her. That's why she remained untouchable even though she was surrounded by enemies inside the palace. Especially from the Royal Family.
Elleanna knew that it's only a matter of time before a war broke out inside. Her enemies were secretly cooking some plots behind her. However, she could not attack them directly. Aside from lack of evidence, she also lacks information about his enemy's power.
The burly shadow went to his knee. "Your Majesty, we dealt with most of the enemy."
"I see. Good job as always. Did that person manage to slip in?"
"Yes Your Majesty, just as you planned."
Elleanna smiled understandably but a glint was visible in her eyes.
"Now let's see what our dog can sniff inside the enemy's domain," she muttered.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
(Patapatapata…)
A sudden hurried footsteps from outside the door was heard by Elleanna. She then eyed the figure in front of her which he understood. The silhouette vanished like there was no one in there in the first place.
After the door of the room pushed open.
"Your Majesty!"
A soldier wearing a silver breastplate went to his knee in front of her.
Elleanna knew this person. It was one of the higher position soldiers that he tasked to help eliminate the beast in the market.
"Did you eliminate the beast?" She asked without waiting for the soldiers report.
But Elleanna noticed the slight change in the soldier's face.
"Uh...eh… yes, Your Majesty! The beast was successfully dealt."
Elleanna sighed in relief upon hearing the soldier's reply.
"Did the Experts I've sent arrived on time? Oh by the way, did you loot all the materials from it?"
"Uhm, that's the problem, Your Majesty."
Noticing that the empress was creasing her brows, the soldier stammeringly followed saying, "uh-eh… Your Majesty please look at this!" He said while handing a piece of equipment.
Elleanna beckoned to one of the Royal Knights.
It was a woman, wearing a shiny golden armor who approached the soldier and took the device from it.
The device was one of the human convenient tools. It could record a scene and replay whenever one wanted.
When Elleanna started playing what was recorded in it, inside a small holographic screen, a scene of the whole surroundings that almost in ruin greeted their eyes. And a rampaging huge beast was firing balls of condense purplish energies.
Everytime it fired, it was followed by loud explosions. The crying voices of her people could even be heard from it.
Elleanna was further creasing her brows. Although she already steeled herself from the kind of scene, it still pained her whenever she heard the pitiful yelping of her people.
The ground was littered by dead bodies bathing with their own blood.
She could not help biting her lips to lessen the guilt for not able to avoid such a scene to happen.
It was also one of the Empire's problems. The sudden appearance of this Abnormality.
The people she tasked to investigate this matter still could not find a clue about it. Elleanna subconsciously massage her temple.
She felt like she would lost 10 years of her life from all this problems popping out from out of nowhere. But she wasn't a weak woman. Elleanna already had a plan.
In any case, she focused her eyes to the holographic screen.
Many of her soldiers fell victim. Some even shouted if where are the Experts!
When things about going to the worst. One of the soldiers shouted, "Look! What is that?!"
Everyone looked above, even the shaking video darted above to capture what the soldier was pointing at.
Everyone saw a figure covered in black smoke. But oddly, the figure was floating in mid air!
"A monster?"
"Dammit! Another enemy?"
"No! We're all dead!"
"No wait!"
They noticed the figure rapidly dove towards the beast's direction.
Then it was followed by a loud dull sound of collision.
Debris of concrete and bricks were flying away together with the cloud of dust and pieces of broken woods.
When the dust calmed down, two figures were staring at each other. The one was a huge figure of the beast, and the second one was the small figure of a….. Human?!
Everyone was surprised to see his face. He had jet black colored hair. And red agate eyes that seemingly biased against fear.
But looking at his figure, he seemed to be a young man, he looked like a first year student of the academy.
Some people shouted to him, urging him to escape. Some even spat nonsense words.
But when the battle started, everyone gaped. All the remaining people around the place were awe-inspired at the battle.
The mysterious youngman in black was engaging the gigantic beast in a melee fight! What the heck! Who was in their right mind would do it! And he was alone?!
Even Roman of Hammerhelm's family fought the Lightning Mayhem together with his family's soldiers. And had to use all his resources in order to subdue the beast.
But this person who was currently fighting the beast of the same level was battling with it in a melee and barehanded to boot!!!
Everyone shouted in their minds and had their mouths forgot to shut.
Everyone expected that the young man would be crushed by the monster's hands. But contrary to their expectations, the beast and the human both staggered back when their punches collided at each other.
Then the beast switched into firing a range attack using its condense purplish sphere. However, not even once that the attack landed.
But everyone grimaced when one finally was able to land a hit. But soon they almost drop their eyeballs. It was block by a force shield and soon disappeared like smoke.
Seeing his failure to kill the tiny human, the gigantic beast leaped higher in the air and pounded the ground that shook the entire place. Some people around who were in the effective range were stunned by it.
It was a super strong attack. One's brain would be shaken by it. Some even slipped and fell on the ground.
Good thing that the one taking the video was slightly farther. He must be using a zoom-in setting to record it.
Unexpectedly, the person who was supposed to be the main target of the beast's attack could not be seen around.
Then the video darted above and saw the guy floating in the air. Knowing that he could fly, everyone understood that this kind of attack from the beast was useless against that man.
The man slowly descended like a king of war. In front of his enemy he landed calmly.
A grin was visible on his face, absence of worries and fear.
Just then everyone started to question about his identity. But all the people around had no idea who he was.
The duel of the gigantic monster against a tiny human had commenced. It was a surreal scene. They both rained punches to their foe.
The young man was sent like a bowling ball when he was hit. His silhouette disappeared in the pile of debris.
Causing all the relative debris and trash to scatter around and send flying.
The beast started to materialize powerful energy from its mouth. But before it could fire it, a concrete went flying and hit the beast on the forehead and disrupted its attack.
Actually, they saw the mysterious human cross his arms in time and able to lessen the impact of the punch from the beast.
The human leaped rapidly that most of the people around failed to follow. They heard a loud sound of crashing on the ground.
"What?! The gigantic beast was sent flying! Is this for real?!" Shouted a surprise person.
A second later, the gigantic beast leaped on his feet. It then repeatedly pounds his hand on his chest. Then a moment later. A huge ray of light was shut from its mouth and unguardedly hit the mysterious human.
Fortunately, he was able to twist his body. But still, he lost his arm.
"Nooo! That beast is just too powerful!"
"This is the end!"
Everyone exclaimed in regret.
But contrary to their expectations. The next second, everyone witnessed his arm grow once again.
Elleanna frowned. She knew that human System Deity restored their lost body parts after their resonance. But if one took damage like that, it was impossible to go in consecutive resonance. They needed to rest until their stamina was stable once again.
And she did not even see him cancelling his System Deity. In this regard, that person, he had a natural ability of Restoration! Such high level skills! Elleanna exclaimed.
The battle lasted for almost an hour. The experts were able to arrive at the place. But what they witnessed was a mysterious person exuding with black smoke that seemingly looked like a miasma was standing on top of the lying beast.
The beast was twitching but it seemed so weak that it could not lift its arms.
"What the heck was happening here?" One of the Experts mumbled.
No one was complaining when the mysterious person dug his hand on the beast's body. After he pulled his arm, his hand was already holding two crystalline objects.
It was a Magic Cryst and Inner Core of the beast.
The mysterious person flew away after taking those two materials.
Then,
Silence descended in the area. All the people who witnessed the fight had a loss in words.
Inside the palace, Empress Elleanna and the others could not believe what they just watched.
"Soldier, summon Mr. Sauro here," Elleanna asked the soldier in front of her.
"Y-Yes! Your Majesty!" The soldier snapped.
'I needed to investigate this person,' Elleanna thought. Who would have thought that another interesting human would appear inside her domain.
But before that, she needed to meet that man.
Currently, riding on his Enhance Fire Doll, Yman was following the direction to where Rea and the others went.
In truth, he only wanted to retrieve his Scout Bee. It copied some useful skills that took his interest. That's why he decided to go back. But after seeing the sorry state of the soldiers and guards. He decided to help. And of course, he wanted to test his new strength. Many times that the enemy almost beat him. Luckily, he won in the end. He won by a little margin though.
But a win is a win. Especially that it was against a high-ranking beast.
Another rumor about the mysterious person is bound to happen in the empire.

“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
