The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 299

There were only seconds left for the match to end. Yet, no one among the two contestants had the intention of giving up. After a hard to perceive speed that they were demonstrating, now they are contesting with strength.
The two of them were clasping their fingers while trying to push back the other. But in truth, it couldn't even be called clasping. Jugo's fingers were too big to grasp.
Impossible! Jugo is starting to wonder how this person was not in Elite Class.
In the VIP room, some VIPs were asking Principal Mar about Yman. "Is he truly not in the Elite Class?" They asked him repeatedly. Principal Mar had to keep on nodding.
Inwardly, Principal Mar was sighing in relief. Thanks to the current fight, the VIPs were starting to get interested in the competition.
Honestly, he was as surprised as them to find out that Yman had such a talent. Regarding his not part of the elite class, Principal Mar could guess the reason.
Although Yman had inexplicable strength and speed, he remembered he was the known student who could not muster his mana.
They were selecting the elites based on both mana capacity and attributes. Since they had yet to see Yman using a Mana-based ability, they assumed that his mana capacity was as the rumor said that he could not muster his mana.
Even in this fight, they had yet to see him using his mana. Honestly, they knew that Yman used the One Second Ability skill, but it wasn't his. It was his deity's skill, so the mana used in casting it was his deity.
In this match, Yman only showed unbelievable strength and speed, but not spell or ability.
So even if he had attributes in speed and strength, he was still not qualified to be part of the elite class.

However, Principal Mar could not explain it to the VIPs, especially that they finally showed interest in the competition.
Aside from Yman, some of the VIPs also showed an interest in Jugo. Some were starting to get curious about the other members of the elite class, especially Almina Amulet and Kiko Sun. These two were said to be the strongest male and female in this Academy.
It was only natural that they started to get curious about the others just looking at the current match.
If Kiko was the strongest male, automatically, he was more potent than those two on stage! With these thoughts, everyone was looking forward to the next round.
Meanwhile, Kiko was creasing his forehead while wide-eyed, staring at the monitor.
Is this a dream? Who is that person on stage?
It's impossible to be him! The TOAD! It must be an impostor. There is no way that Toad can fight like that. But no matter how Kiko denies it, it was the reality.
On the other hand, Almina and the rest were awestruck, staring at the monitor. Never they imagined that Yman's physical attributes were this high.
On the stage, Yman and Jugo were throwing punches at each other. Both received damage.
Around them, the evidence of intense battle was noticeable. The debris from the broken segment of the stage was flying.
Everyone was wondering if this match was the championship. The audiences were noisy, cheering loudly. Some were yelling Jugo's codename, and some were Yman's.
Everyone was wondering if it would become a draw. It would be a bad result if it came to that.
The two of them will be disqualified for failing to defeat their opponent. It also meant that they were incapable of winning the competition. Therefore, they were not fit to continue.
The two participants both staggered back when their punches hit each other's faces.

"Ugh!"
"The fuck! Are you a robot?" Jugo asked boisterously.
"Heh, said someone who has the body of a tank," Yman mocked.
"....."
The audience didn't know whether he was complimenting his enemy or insulting him.
Jugo suddenly exhaled. Then attack once again. Yman noticed the scarlet armor on Jugo started to tear apart.
He believed that it was the time limit. Or maybe it reached the limit of damage that it could handle.
Yman sent a kick to counter the fast-approaching Jugo. But it was blocked by crossed arms. But, it was faint. His real aim was to use him as the foothold and jump in the air. Then he flipped once before sending a super-strong downward kick.
"Eh?" It was too late for Jugo when he realized it.
"Meteorite Kick!" Yman shouted his newly thought name.
The kick landed on Jugo's head. He felt his eyes were about to pop out of the socket. Also, because of it, Jugo felt dizzy.
Yman did not waste the opportunity and send combos of powerful attacks.
Kicks, punches, elbows, and knees all landed on Jugo. He tried to cover using his arms, but it was futile. His size was an easy target of Yman.
Thanks to his Knuckle and Gloves, his strength rose to such an extent that even the Prime State Jugo and using the Growth Artefact was still hurt.
Jugo, who noticed his guard was useless, decided to attack. No matter what, he must not lose. Though it was too late, the Prime State was already at the limit.
The scarlet armor crumbled to pieces. Because of it, Jugo's attributes lost the boost. Well, there was still the boost from the Growth Artefact. But against Yman, it was useless.
Yman gathered mana in his hand, then punched him while shouting, "Raging Fist!" It was the technique he learned while fighting in the 5D arena.
Finally, the gigantic Jugo fell on the floor, face first. A loud thud reverberated. The fall caused the dust and debris to be wafted away.
Everyone was silent as most of the present people never expected this result.
Breathing heavily, he was standing in front of the lying Jugo, who had his back facing the blue sky.
A second later, they heard a buzzing sound. The time was right at the corner. If Yman was late a second to knock Jugo, the result would have been a draw. But since Jugo fell right before the time limit, Goki excitedly announced Yman's victory.
"Woah! Yman bro won!" Bob exclaimed, could not believe the result. But he was happy.
Maena glanced beside her and saw Almina with teary eyes. Then she returned her gaze to the monitor, to the person who remained standing in the middle of the stage and was gasping for air. She couldn't believe that she used to look down on him. Maena bit her lip.
Although it was only the second round of the competition, it seemed like the championship for most.

Embers in the Ash
Four ordinary young people from four corners of the Earth wake up on a hill in another world. Here, their very presence is a crime against the Gods. On the fringes of civilization, life is often brief and always violent, but in the Empire's Heartland, implacable hunters seek to rectify their blasphemous existence with Blade and Fire. To return home, they will need to adapt to a place where their life will be earned in steel. But what will they be ready to sacrifice for their goal? Will their flame flicker out like so many others before them? Or will they thrive as Embers in the Ash? Hello, and welcome to my first fiction on this site! Embers in the Ash is an epic fantasy adventure story that aims to span quite a few chapters (I hope!). To set expectations, this isn't going to be a LitRPG or power fantasy-style story. I'm aiming for a fairly grounded story set in a fairly high-fantasy world. I hope you enjoy it! For this first month of publication, my aim is to give you, the reader, something to really bite into. I will be releasing a chapter every day at 9:15 AM EST (13:15 GMT), as well as the occasional double chapter (which will always be announced by a post-chapter author blurb). Check in fifteen minutes after the first chapter's release! After this first month of publication, the aim is to go for either a weekly or bi-weekly release schedule, depending on the sort of time I can reliably dedicate to writing. Either way, settle in for the long haul, and welcome to the story!

Destinatus
Volume 1: Follows the story of an amnesiac named Gratus whose narrative reflects the fragmentation in his mind. His journey to restore his memories pits him against monsters and questionable allies that seem to want him dead. Volume 2: Prequel to volume 1 that follows Cogito's narrative, a rising star that is tied to a family legacy he cannot escape. Connects the fragments in volume 1 and expands on the world of Dominia. **Author’s Note: Cover Art and Synopsis is subject to change. I just wanted to post my story here to get feedback and improve it, so it’s okay to be brutally honest! What I am posting is a rough draft so I don't mind rewritting whole chapters and segments of stories as long as it doesn't make the story worse haha. **Author’s Note: LitRPG elements begins in Volume 2, same with potentially traumatising content.
