The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 316

"It's Maria!" Exclaimed Elder Nitan when he noticed the blue-haired sprite who suddenly leaped out from the glass of water.
"Oh, it's unusual for Maria to come out!" Elder Paan said in surprise.
The sprite, Maria, flew directly to the widescreen monitor and stopped about several human steps away from it. Then she stared at the figure of the person who was in the video.
Elder Gatan squinted his eyes. "Maria, are you interested in that boy?" He asked calmly. It was unusual for her to come out suddenly without him asking her.
On second look, Elder Gatan could still remember that boy on the monitor. He was the student Maria handed a paper to on the first-day appraisal ceremony. It was an appraisal ceremony to check the student's elemental affinity.
Right. As everyone stated, it was the boy who got a hazy black response on the giant bulb. That giant bulb was a magic tool that could amplify mana and convert them to their elemental affinity.
Regardless, he noticed an excitement in Maria while she was staring at the figure of that boy. Elder Gatan's mouth slowly bent upward to form a smile.
"She seemed happy to see that kid," Elder Gatan muttered.
After defeating Marco, Yman calmly stepped down the stage. Marco wasn't the type of person worth wasting his time. He could not earn points regardless. So Yman decided to end the match faster.
When he arrived at the waiting area there were only dumbfounded faces and a furious glare from Kiko and his friends. In response to it, he grinned. That grin had a lot of meaning. Kiko knows about it. Yman was indicating that he wasn't afraid to face him. He was willing to face him whenever he wanted. Just looking at his eyes, Kiko knew that the current Yman was full of confidence.

"You!" Kiko gnashed his teeth. "I will wipe that smug on your face!" He muttered in a cold voice. Although his voice was so low, it reached Yman's ears.
He wondered if Yman had been thinking that he was only a little stronger than Marco and the others.
'This shit!'
Before walking away, Yman shrugged his shoulders. This manner of him insulted Kiko. It seemed like Yman was telling him "well, whatever". Kiko could not let this insult go any longer. However, what can he do? He could only wait for his chance to come. Tsk!
To Kiko's additional adversity, "Congrats Yman!" Almina's cheerful greeting reverberated that caused a twitch in Kiko's brow. The heavy feelings he had towards Yman were piling up. It should have been him that Almina said congratulations to if only Yman did not come back in this city, or if he did not exist. He needed to erase him in the picture.
He also heard Almina saying, "Don't mind him, Yman." It left a bitter taste to Kiko. She must be talking about him.
He must erase him!
That person made many sins to him. About this time, Kiko's MTMD made a vibrating noise.
He took it from his pocket and checked the content. 'A mail,' his thought upon seeing it.
"What?!" Kiko exclaimed with a shocked face. It was from Abel. 'How did Abel lose to him?' Kiko asked himself in exclamation. Abel wasn't just a mere junior trainee. He was more powerful than most of the second-year students.
Yet, it was in the message that Yman defeated him without even being able to fight back? How the fuck did that happen? Did this toad do something uncanny? Cheating? Perhaps Abel wasn't in his peak condition.
Tsk! A cross-shaped pulse appeared on Kiko's forehead.

Regardless, it wasn't in the message the content of their match. So Kiko had no idea how they fought. Nonetheless, it was Kiko himself who ordered Abel to punish Yman a little. It was a little payback for the rejection he suffered from Almina. After all, it was Yman who was the cause that he got rejected.
Even after noticing Kiko's exclamation, his friends remained silent.
Before storing back his MTMD, it made a vibrating noise once again. 'Tsk, who could it be this time?' He thought as he checked it with a frown.
But soon Kiko squinted his eyes. The sender was anonymous. He checked the content of the message out of curiosity. However, he further frowned upon checking it.
Kiko then walked towards the exit after storing back his MTMD into his pocket.
"Kiko, dude, where are you going?"
Bruno asked when he noticed he was about to leave.
"Don't follow me!"
Kiko's reply was short and direct. Bruno and the rest of Kiko's gang stopped on their feet upon hearing him.
Yman noticed an intense glare coming from around him. When he glanced around him, he saw Kiko passing by them with a cold glare. He briefly stared at Kiko's back, who was heading to the exit before he returned his gaze to the monitor.
Those who had won their duel were instructed not to leave the waiting area first. They were instructed to rest and wait for the final match.
As there were 75 participants in this elimination round, there was one odd number. The final participants who had yet to come up on stage would be given the privilege to choose their opponent.
In the VIP room, the Principal of Human City Zone 1, Principal Kim grinned menacingly when he received a message.
'With this, the fall of Zone 7 is nearing,' thought Principal Kim.
The text mentioned the arrival of the parcel. He already sent a message to his subordinate to pick it up.
'Now, it's up to him to persuade that person. Hehe!' Principal Kim chuckled inwardly.
Kiko went to the back alley, about half a kilometer away, northwest, of the public square where the competition was held.
He went inside without caring about his surroundings. No one would dare to question him anyway. Soon, he would become the most popular person in this city, more popular than Almina and the current Ace, Miss Ice.
Kiko peered in front of him. The alley was kinda dark. He had no idea why that person who chatted to him chose this area as the meeting place.
But who cares. The most important thing was the item they mentioned in the message.

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online.
