The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 322

Yman noticed the change in Keremi's countenance. The benign smile he usually has could not be found anymore.
"Are you familiar with the name ARENHU?" He suddenly asked him, which made Yman's eyes shake and widen the second upon hearing it.
It seemed as though there was a lapse in time the moment Keremi mentioned it. Yman blinks his eyes twice, seemingly absorbing what he just heard. Did he hear it right? Did Keremi just mention that forsaken word?
Out of the blue, "What did you say?!" Yman threw his own question in a slightly raised voice. His voice had a tinge of surprise. However, instead of a reply, he noticed a frown from Keremi.
The atmosphere between them turned serious suddenly after Keremi mentioned the word, wafting the calm and relaxed ambiance inside the room.
"ARENHU…" After Keremi repeated the word, there was an awkward silence visiting the two.
After a slight pause, Yman finally opened his mouth, "Could it be… you are one of them?" he threw another question again. But this time, his voice was not his usual calm voice. It was tense and threatening.
Even Keremi could feel the pressure from it. This surprised him. His close eyes even made noticeable movements. He had no clue how far Yman had improved after he disappeared for a month in the academy. But the person in front of him now was very different from the person last month.
Keremi suddenly came into a deep pondering. He was puzzled by Yman's sudden increase in power.
Yman knitted his brows. How can he forget that name? ARENHU… The ARENHU Facility where he was raised and became a lab rat for many years. Yman thought with a hidden frustration.
Could it be Keremi was one of them? Dammit! So they already knew where he was? Yman subconsciously balled his fists that were resting on his thighs under the table.

Noticing the threatening aura from Yman, Keremi raised his head, "It's not what you think, my prince," he said while raising both his hands in front of him.
Gesturing a surrender stance. Yman stared at him with narrowed eyes. "What do you mean?"
Keremi's corner of his mouth extended to both sides. He thought that this conversation would never advance if they kept asking each other.
"The truth is…" Keremi said as he slowly opened his eyes.
When Yman saw it, his eyes widened as he was looking at Keremi.
When Keremi completely opened his eyes, it seemed the world stopped at them.
Yman was stunned for a couple of seconds before he was able to summon his voice again.
'No wonder…' What he meant was, No wonder Keremi could see even though he was closing his eyes. He already suspected his eyes. But just now that his suspicion got proven right. They really aren't ordinary eyes.
"Are you one of the enhanced?" He asked.
He noticed a slight nod from Keremi.
ARENHU, or Artificial Enhanced Human. Based on the name alone, everyone could probably guess what kind of facility it was.
After that, Keremi told him everything.
Yman came back with loads of thoughts in his mind. It was still hard for him to believe all that Keremi told him. No, it was unbelievable. But it also makes sense.
Yman stopped in the girls' room, where his sister and Rea were probably sleeping.
It was already about 10 pm. It was a time in which most people were probably in deep slumber. He wanted to check them. But Yman realized that it was inappropriate to intrude in a girl's room this time of night.
He closed his eyes and increased his perception, he could sense two familiar presence breathing soundlessly. He breathed a sigh of relief.

After hearing Keremi's words, he was bugged by something. Even though his scout fire dolls were guarding the whole house, Yman was still attacked by anxiety.
He turned around and pushed the door opposite from theirs. His room was just in front of the girl's room.
Unbeknown to Yman, when he left, Rea opened her eyes. She sighed in relief. She could not sleep for some reason. It wasn't like she was scared of something. It's just hard to describe her feelings at the moment. Regardless, she felt relieved when he came back, finally. She wanted to come with him, but that guy refused her. He said he was meeting a male friend.
However, it was rather suspicious!
This thought lingered in Rea's mind and prevented her from sleeping. In Rea's mind... C-could it be he was cheating on her?! How despicable! Wait, they were not even in a relationship!
On the other hand, Yman laid his back on the bed after changing his clothes. "I have to get a lot stronger," he muttered while he was gazing at the ceiling. However, his mind was beyond it.
Before he left, he made sure the house was surrounded by enhanced fire dolls. It would not put him at ease knowing that only his sister and Rea were left here.
Sistela was in hibernation mode when he left, so he left her in his sister's care.
Tomorrow was the 4th elimination round of the competition, so he needed Sistela to be in a good condition. Also, he had many bodyguards with him, so it wasn't a problem if he found himself in trouble. He was confident that he could escape if something was going to happen.
However, after hearing Keremi's words, Yman realized that he was so naive. He became so confident in himself. This is bad. Yman knew that he made a big error in his decision.
He needed to stop this kind of thinking. He needed to be on high alert every time. Although he had many ways to escape from his enemies, it was still better if he had extra cards up his sleeve.
Yman pondered until he fell asleep.
The next time he opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sunbeam that came through the gap in the window.
The 4th elimination round started at the same time as yesterday. There were fewer participants left. And most of the remaining participants were the stronger ones.
Most of the remaining participants were students from section A and the elite class. So most of the onlookers were looking forward to this round.
There were noticeably more onlookers today than yesterday.
The remaining participants were full of energy. Each one of them was looking forward to their match. They wanted to win. No, they must win against their opponent!
Yman also arrived right before the round started. As expected, he could not find Keremi around.
Keremi's revelation stunned him for good. Even until now, it was still hard for him to believe.
"An artificial human, huh," Yman muttered.
"Yman!" While Yman was in deep thought, he suddenly heard a familiar voice calling his name. When he glanced, he saw Almina and Maena moving towards him along with their friends.
"What?" Maena asked him when she noticed his eyes were on her. She also noticed the look in his eyes looked different from before.

A Fool's Journey, or the Vagrancies of a Man in Exotic Lands
What does a sad bastard do when fate, literally, decides to throw him into a fantasy world? Solon just wanted to lead a normal life; work, share some pizza with friends, work, play some videogames or read something, work, maybe sleep?, work... Pretty much the usual, rinse and repeat. It was far from perfect, but life was nicely boring and comfy enough. Truth be told, he had hoped it would go on forever, or until he got married, or until the apocalypse finally decided to bring an end to everything. As far as he could tell, though, the former was about as likely as the latter; not very. And perhaps even somewhat related, if it ever came to it. Unfortunately, he saw himself involved in some sort of cosmic fart that screwed him over, brutally severing his life-plan. Or, maybe, would it be more suitable to say that Fate had other plans? Sure, he's yet to find out exactly what those plans might be, but, at the very least, they do seem to involve him being shoved into another world, fighting off a couple of horrendous creepers, and -almost- an accidental liaison with a baboon. Needless to say, the job doesn't come with dental care, and death seems more likely than retirement... Yep, when he got yoinked out of Earth, there were no princesses waiting for him, no sexy goddesses, and no severe Gandalf-wannabes! Heck, not even a bunch of demonic cultists! All he got for the trouble was a bunch of snarky windows and the honest desire to punch whatever bastard happens to be behind the smug System. Well, that, and a few forced trips to the so-called Tower of Ascension. Not exactly what he would have expected but, on the plus side, he does get to do some magic. Though, not quite the wand-waving kind. Whatever. One thing’s patently clear, though, he’s certainly not the chosen one, nor the summoned hero, nor the Savior. If anything, he himself might be in need of some saving... Just what kind of fool does the System take him for? Please do consider the tags. Also, 'Strong Lead' here means weak to strong, over a decent amount of time, not op from the very beginning. Things to expect: decent grammar, cheeky goats. Things not to expect: Harems, a decent sense of fashion.
