Chapter 63: Inside The Ice Tomb
Michu and the enemy player looked deeply at each other.
The snow kept slapping their cheeks, but their eyes remained undisturbed. In the eyes of the man who held the sword, one could see anger and hate toward the monke. This was directed straight into Michu's eyes, but undaunted, Michu took a step forward.
How many people had similar eyes in real life? All of them looked at him the same if not just a tad differently.
'As I thought, I hate those eyes...' Michu inwardly inferred.
He had been doing the gangster stuff by assaulting players and using Yumi's poison to take them down as smoothly as possible. In this ice world, people weren't prepared for sudden poison and most of them just fell to her ploy.
Michu's current opponent was different. He had a way to ignore the poison, so the battle between Michu's party and him was inevitable... He had already lost his party, so what else other than fighting their killers could he do? Hide in this world? Impossible and naive!
[Mayren Lv. 47 HP: 4300/7550 MP: 1054/3400 Guild: Sylas Fun.]
"You seem bothered by something else than me. True... If this stalemate continues, I will fall first due to the snow. So what can bother you?" Mayren asked.
His opponent was looking confused and this confusion would give him a lot of room to either escape or attack back if it weren't for the snow around them.
To his words, Michu stood silent.
He was focused more on his current plight. While others weren't bothered by that in the slightest, Michu couldn't just face every player with killing intent. He turned his eyes to Mayren and asked, "How many people did you kill here?"
"Around twenty... Is killing what bothers you?" Mayren smiled, then said, "You are too soft then. I have been here for three months and persistently stuck with my party to this damn quest. Do you think we killed them just because of frozen hearts? We also did it for consumables and all their other stuff."

"But don't you feel bad for them?" Michu replied.
"Geez! It's like you have never played any games. Dude, you either win or lose. When you lose, you get mad and vent anger in your way. When you win, you stay above everyone else and you are just happy about your accomplishment. If you just get something, it's not fun at all, right?" Meyran shared some wisdom, then concluded, "We came here to get the Impossible Quest's rewards. For them, we were ready to destroy anyone. Is there a reason to hold back in the game?"
"I still think it's bad to just attack anyone. But, thank you." Michu smiled and dispelled every worry within his heart, "Now that I spoke with you, I see that your anger has diminished. I guess I will try to speak with everyone!"
"Uhh.." That was weird. Meyran didn't know how to respond! He just shrugged, "We play this game in our ways."
The clash between the monke and Meyran lasted for fifteen minutes.
KongFu and Venomous looked at them from the side.
Both of them had the same thought, "This dude wouldn't fall that easily if it weren't for the poison and snow."

After Michu's party gathered ten frozen hearts, they headed to the Ice Tomb.
Most of the players would have to check the Ice Tomb's entrance first before hunting all other players for the frozen hearts. However, KongFu's senses had helped them greatly here.
Facing the entrance, everyone put ten frozen hearts in their respective spots.
The entrance to the tomb shook loudly. It was so loud that surrounding players should've been notified about it. While it was something to worry about, Venomous kept her eyes on the door and believed that the Ice Tomb wouldn't disappoint her.
And she was right.
The doors split just a little, revealing a small gap that shone with bright blue light. This light swallowed Michu's whole party and teleported them straight to the Ice Tomb! The entrance then closed and left everyone else fruitless upon their arrival.

The Ice Tomb inside was embellished with many runes. Those shone each time Michu and his party came closer. The curious monke slid his finger through the rune and found the feeling soft and nice, so he giggled as if it was already his reward for coming here.
Above them, the icicles, long and sharp, threatened them with appearance alone. Those seemed like stuck good and proper by the creator, so no one felt danger yet.
However, the runes weren't the only thing changing as the party moved.
The deeper they went, the colder it became. It was expected, but the party couldn't waste their time on this Ice Tomb's corridor and just rushed past all obstacles!
The cold became like a mask later on as it glued to everyone's faces insistently! But for the first time in The Ice Tomb, Michu and his party found something. It was a chunk of ice floating on water.
The road ended and water replaced the rest!
[Step on the ice platform and withstand the coldness as it goes!]
The coldness was already a bother, but this sudden message prompt pushed them into a worse situation. Not willing to give up, everyone hopped onto the ice platform, then it moved forward.
"It's so cold... So cold!" Michu hugged himself roughly after a minute.
His friend, Yakuzan, came closer and hugged him too to offer some help. Both monkeys ended up clinging to each other which made Sandra jealous! She didn't waste a chance and extended her hands for him as well.
She was from behind, but the monke's warmth and her embarrassment warmed her sufficiently...
"Yumi, are you okay?" Michu asked as he looked at his friend.
While everyone squatted, Yumi stood still and even crossed her arms like a boss. She stood before Michu, so he was someone who got the least coldness as it blew from the front. Her voice soon flowed...
"If I weren't okay, I would be the first one to hug you," She replied, then explained, "If you believe in Cold Time, then you can slow down this coldness and its effects. Weird concept, but I believe in it."
Venomous also had a strong will. She repeated within herself that this Impossible Quest would provide her with an item to bring her closer to her goal. To destroy her father and his guild, she would survive this quest!
Michu's smile also often flashed within her and she wanted to make his goal become reality too.
Thus, even if the cold became unbearable, Venomous would only fall if the game decided to put her down by taking her HP.
"I see... But if you need a hug, then tell me! I will hug you too." Michu stated, then closed his eyes. It was really too cold here, but The Azure Liquid Control kicked in after he closed his eyes and shifted his situation for a little better.
If he had something hot to eat or drink, then Michu would go through the quest no problem!
"I will remember that," Venomous replied, then looked at the front. Where was this platform taking them to? She wanted to see the end already, but if she was correct, then this was The Frozen Trial that would take some time...
Was withstanding the coldness... the only aspect of this very trial, though?

It's Hard to be a Hero in a Parallel World
A hero is transported from the real world into a parallel world similar to the video game he's been obsessed with for the past few weeks. The problem is, this game is way too difficult, especially for a nerdy gamer boy to survive. He decides to leave the hero-duty to someone who is actually competent while he looks for a way home. He hopes his knowledge of the game will help him stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, as one would imagine, the normal events of a game would change drastically when the main character is nowhere to be found. Read as the unlikely hero gets into trouble with his new companions, while trying to survive life in this parallel world. This is an original story that takes inspiration from and pokes fun at many novels, video games, anime, and the stereotypes and tropes that appear in those media.
