Kiss Me Not Chapter 7

Brione's eyes widened in shock.
The words 'be my woman' rang in her ears continuously.
"Are you nuts?!" she annoyingly shouted and without a second thought, she escaped from his embrace. She turned around and quickly left him alone on the dance floor.
It was not the first time she got such an indecent proposal but every time she did, she felt so annoyed and angry that she wanted to kill the shameless person responsible for it.
She rushed out from the ballroom with flaring nostrils, not minding all the eyes that were on her. She was taking huge strides to go to her room while scolding him all the way.
"Is he really from the Royal family? What kind of a man is he? An as*hole for sure! How shameless! Isn't he afraid that I will expose him and ruin the reputation of his entire family?!"
She was fuming but tried her best to control her anger and not punch the so-called Prince.
"Be his woman? Should I be flattered that he asked?!" She barked.
"Ughh!! I'm so pissed off!!!" she murmured next while walking, recalling how confidently he had asked her.
She hurriedly walked back to her room which was on the third floor of the castle. She was the only one on that floor as all of the staff were on the first floor. Manager Ruth said that her room was the best room in the castle and was located next to the Prince's room.
She paused at her door and turned to look at the door beside her. Now she felt suspicious about this arrangement.
'Why would he separate me from the rest?' She pondered, feeling alarmed. But then the Prince would surely not do anything to her right?
"I should request for a change of room first thing in the morning," she decided before opening her door and entering it.

Once inside, she immediately called Berry and told the latter that she would sleep in her room for the night. Although confused, Berry immediately went up to aid her.
Meanwhile, at a seat beside Manager Ruth, a man spoke, "He failed. I wonder what he did to shoo away the lady he fell in love with at first sight. Geez, I told him to be gentler, sweet-spoken, and stop being straightforward. Why can't he do such simple things?"
"I guess you're a lousy friend and not a reliable assistant right Will? How can you be a good love coach to our Prince when you yourself don't have any experience with a woman? The Prince is cold and ruthless in nature. He hates beating around the bush when negotiating and doing things. He likes to do things the fast way." Manager Ruth teased.
"Shhh. Quiet. He's coming here and I'm sure I will be dead soon. You better shut up and not add fuel to the fire or I will tell him to consult you from now on since you're a woman as well. He might even agree to it since it will be easier and reliable to hear advice from you," Will taunted with a sigh.
"Do that and I will kill you myself!" Manager Ruth threatened.
Will and Manager Ruth immediately grabbed their mobile phones, acting as if they were so busy with texting someone important that they did not notice Prince Cedric coming back to his seat. The Prince was definitely not in a good mood and the two could automatically sense that in his aura.
"Why are the rumors about me still not cleared, Will?! It's so annoying! If you guys don't do something about this soon, I will feed you two to Froze and Darkz..." the Prince barked.

Manager Ruth gulped. She hated those two wolves, who were also the Prince's pets. Those wolves were loyal to no one except the Prince! She elbowed Will who was the closest to the Prince telling him to somehow pacify him.
Will cleared his throat and said, "We've told you numerous times that the only way to clear the rumors is if you agree to have a fiance and kiss that fiance in public, but you have refused to do it so far. There's no other way Cedric."
He had picked the ladies that would best suit the Prince, so all Cedric had to do was just choose any one of them, but he was too stubborn and had called it a waste of his precious time.
"None of them were interesting enough…" Cedric plainly scoffed.
Will tried his best to clear that rumor but no matter what he tried, it didn't work. It had even ended badly with the Prince earning a bad reputation when it came to women.
Will sighed helplessly and the Prince heard him.
"What is it this time? Tell me," the Prince demanded.
"Well, I guess Miss Brione Yu is the only one interesting enough to catch our Prince's aloof eyes with just one glance," Will commented.
He could not stop himself from saying, "There are so many women in the world, not to mention those who are always flocking around you, almost offering themselves to you. So pardon me if I don't understand why you have to go this far for Miss Brione. I get that she looks like a Goddess but Miss Olivia is not a bad choice either.
She's the Prime Minister's daughter and an alliance with them can be secured if you would just agree to marry her. She's pretty, well educated, kind, and generous. Couldn't you just accept her? She's been waiting for you her whole life Cedric. I'm saying this as your closest friend.
Give up on Miss Brione because of the way I see it… She is a tough lady. You yourself have checked her whereabouts and you can see how indifferent she is to men. That woman is a workaholic, whose only focus is her career."
Will does not remember how many times he had already confronted his friend about his absurd ideas of making Miss Brione Yu fall in love with him.
"Will… Have you ever felt a strong but unexplainable feeling towards someone?" the Prince asked in a serious tone.
