"No need to panic! Rescue is on the way. Please wear your life vest!" He heard a man in uniform shout and yet there was screaming and everyone was rushing towards the available lifeboats that were on the upper deck.

He ran along with others but the ship suddenly tilted to the left so that he had to hold on to the rails so as not to slide down like the others. He tried his best to climb up to the upper deck to which everyone was running.

The place was crowded and despite the assurance of the crew that nothing would happen and rescue was on its way, people continued panicking and everyone was rushing towards where the lifeboats were.

He saw a kid fall on her knees crying and calling for her mother. He ran towards her and quickly picked her up before she was crushed.

"Shhh, you'll be fine," he said as he rushed towards one of the lifeboats.

"Take her!" he shouted at a man in uniform and handed over the kid. There were no more seats so he looked for another lifeboat when he bumped into a man. The clash and impact were so great that both of them fell down. He stood up first to help the other man up. The man grabbed his hand and stood up.

"Thanks!" he said as their eyes met.

They stared at each other for a long time, both were dumbfounded. The man before him looked exactly the same as him. None dared to utter a word. He was about to speak but what happened next terrified him. There was a gunshot and he saw blood soaking the man's shirt.

He was about to grab him when someone grabbed him first. Then the ship tilted drastically, causing him to fall and slide down and he fell into the water. He tried to swim but the waves were so extreme they were not letting him float.

He would drown… He would die…

Cedric was panting when he opened his eyes. He quickly got up and went to the window to get more air for he felt he would die of suffocation.

It was a nightmare but this time it felt real and there was something more. Could it be fragments of some buried memory? Not just a dream but a real scene of what had happened?

He had seen him, a man, who was exactly the same as him!

"Was he Gavin?" he whispered as he walked to get some water. Gavin and him on the same ship? But how did he end up on a ship when his kidnappers had clearly said that he jumped over? Something was not right! If it was a part of his memory then he must have met Gavin on that ship?

Gavin was shot! He saw him getting shot and being taken but by whom? He was so focused on staring at Gavin's face that he failed to notice who grabbed Gavin.

He felt a sudden pain in his head as he tried to recall more, so he grabbed his medicine and took it quickly. This was good progress. There was a possibility that his memories might return soon, he just needed to be patient and the mystery would soon unfold on its own.

He replayed the scene over and over in his head. He agreed that there was indeed the possibility that one of them was Cedric and the other was Gavin. He was the one who fell from the ship and the other one was shot and taken away.

Was It possible that the other man survived? But it hardly seemed to be the case since he was shot? His captor's intention must be to kill the man or why would they fire a gun at him? Or that gunshot could have been for him but the man with his face had mistakenly got shot instead of him?

He grabbed his mobile phone and dialed the number for the head of his security, Kevin.

"Your Highness?"

"Kevin, I need all the details about the ship that sank with Gavin Wu. Get me the manifest of all passengers. And if possible give me the list and details of all survivors from the accident. Make sure to be very discreet and that no one suspects that you are conducting an investigation," Cedric instructed.

If he was right, one of the survivors must have witnessed the shooting. And someone from the ship's crew could also give him some answers about why both of them were on the same ship.

It was obvious that there was some conspiracy behind the accident, seeing how the man who looked like him got shot. It was a sensitive case that involved murder so he knew he must look carefully at the matter.

"Should I check my butt now and see if there is a birthmark or no?" he muttered sarcastically to himself. Even he was starting to doubt his own identity! But at least the family he was with now was confirmed to be his real family.

He looked at the clock and it showed the time as past three in the morning. He returned to his bed but he could not sleep anymore.

He looked at Brione's Instagram and checked her latest post. He smiled, seeing she indeed wore a rash guard on the beach. Yet she still looked very alluring and tempting with those rash guards fitting her curves perfectly.

"Ruth should have given her a bigger size," he uttered with a rueful smile twitching his mouth. Once again he was not pleased as he read comments from the perverts praising Brione on how sexy she looks in everything she wears.

Using his alternate account, he began typing his comments.
