At Derhan Palace, Country B

The next morning, Will immediately went to Derhan Palace to see his father Sean before he went to report to the King. Today was crucial since they were supposed to conduct the confidential rescue and operation for Oliver, Olivia's brother and the eldest son of Prime Minister Greg Philips.

"We have a problem…" Will informed his father, Sean, inside the meeting and private room where they usually discussed the progress of the rescue and operation they were planning for Oliver.

"They moved Oliver and right now we are still having problems tracking them. Our men lost them. I am worried that they will do something to Oliver upon knowing that we were tracking them down," Will added with a concerned look. He thought they would be able to retrieve Oliver at this rate already but he was wrong.

They were so close… Will sighed. He thought they already had an upper hand in the situation. Everything was ready for the rescue mission but it turned out that the enemy knew their movements as well. The enemies were not that simple. Will could only hope that those people would not hurt Oliver.

"Have you informed His Highness Prince Gavin about this yet?" Sean asked his son and Will shook his head.

"We will inform the King first and let him decide on how to proceed with the situation. You know how he doesn't want to bother his son with things like this as much as possible. We must handle everything from here since Prince Gavin is handling things at country D already." Sean told him.

"I am worried…" Will whispered his concern. Olivia was already having a hard time and right now, her brother was still in danger. Olivia trusted them and she was cooperating with the royal family in secret instead of obeying her father. Olivia was aware of the plan and she was expecting to see her brother soon.

The father and son discussed the matter at hand and soon reported everything to King Lucas.

"There are snides in our men!" Lucas grunted.

"We are now looking at it, Your Majesty. We will make sure to take out those men," Will reassured.

They were still having their conversation when Will's mobile phone rang… He immediately answered when he saw that it was the head of the elite task force.

"Sir… We found Oliver… But he is dead…"

Will's face paled as he looked both to the King and his father. He was too shocked to hear the news that the rest of the report from the other line was not registering to him.

"Oliver is dead…" he whispered unconsciously that his father Sean had to grab the mobile phone from him.

His knees went weak as Olivia's face flashed through his vision…

Sean took the report on the other line and relayed how things happened to the King.

Lucas' shoulders dropped while he listened to Sean. They failed… he failed once again… like how he failed to rescue his wife before…

"Your Majesty!" Sean exclaimed when Lucas suddenly fell on the floor as he fainted.

"Call Cain, quick!" Sean instructed Will who instantly dialed Cain before he called for Cain's medical team on standby at the palace.

They were fast and gave the necessary treatment to the King. Cain immediately arrived with Kimmy who was so worried about her uncle.

"What happened?!" Kimmy asked Will as she stormed inside the King's bedroom with Cain.

Cain checked everything with his team while Kimmy confronted Will with what happened.

"He passed out when he heard the news about Olivia's brother. Oliver is dead…" Will weakly whispered.

He wanted to go to Olivia but he had no face to see her. They all failed and right now, he was sure that Olivia would not see him. Kimmy was too shocked about the news because she was not aware of what was happening. She knew Oliver and Olivia since those two were close to the royal family, especially her cousin Cedric.

She could sense that Will was hiding something but she was not in the mood to ponder since she was extremely worried seeing how her uncle passed out and was being checked by Cain right now.

Will looked at his father Sean and approached him whispering, "I will go out in a while Dad. Gavin needs to know about this."

Sean nodded and watched Will leave the room.

Outside, Will helplessly walked to the inner courtyard and sat on the nearest bench. He grabbed his mobile phone and exhaled loudly before he dialed Gavin's number.

"Yes Will? How's the rescue?" Gavin asked from the other line. Gavin was aware of their current movements about rescuing Olivia's brother.

"Your Highness… They killed Oliver before we managed to rescue him. His Majesty, the King passed out but the doctors said his vitals are stable. The sad news took a toll on him greatly… I am more worried about Olivia. She trusted us but…" Will could not finish his words.

Gavin trusted him as well in handling this matter but he failed.

There was silence and Will could hear Gavin's deep sigh from the other line.

"I will fly there this instant, Will. You must see Olivia. She needs someone to be with her. I will bring Brione with me to be with her at these times… Go to Olivia, Will."

Will helplessly sighed and said, "I will try Gavin… I don't have the face to…"

"Still… Aren't you worried about her? Face her no matter what and I will do the same. We tried our best in saving Oliver and I'm sure Olivia knows that. I will end this call now. See you soon, Will."

Gavin clenched his jaw. Their enemy was giving them a warning. They already took one life and Gavin knew that this game would go on if they would still try to meddle with their plans about the Prime Minister.

He called Kevin and instructed the latter to arrange his travel with Brione. Things were getting complicated and he was sure Olivia's life would be next.
