Earth's Alpha Prime Chapter 66

Throughout my career, I have experienced many dangerous situations and seen several influential individuals. So, even if it was just for a fraction of a second, I was able to recognise that gaze; it was the look of a predator that had eyes on its prey.
I felt something was off and tried to communicate with the security detail through our commlinks.
However, my body was not in my control anymore, and what boggled my mind was that my body wasn't frozen. Instead, it acted according to my usual behaviour as it kept on looking around for any potential threats.
Others might not find anything off, but only I know that my body was moving on its own.
Since part of my job was to keep an eye on any potential threat for the Chairman, my body subconsciously kept track of Jay's every single action because my instinct screamed at me that there wasn't anyone more dangerous than him in the courtroom.
I watched Jay sit beside his family members. Unlike his previous cold appearance, he looked like an entirely different person as he greeted his parents and siblings with a smile.
After that, he gave the same cold look at the lawyer that we hired to represent the Quadnite Conglomerate.
Just like me, the lawyer also froze for a second before returning to normal. Soon, the same process repeated with the Court Judge.
I had a strong feeling that they were in the same unusual situation as me. Once the Retrial started, I was sure that they weren't in control of their own body.
This was because the Judge, who was bribed by our Conglomerate, was favoring the 'Nav-Yuga Enterprise' instead of the Quadnite Conglomerate.
Even the Attorney that we hired was not doing what he was supposed to do and instead started to support Kay who was presenting evidence against our Conglomerate.
Generally, in such a scenario, a Lawyer's client, i.e. the Quadnite Conglomerate, would be able to request another Lawyer under some pretext. However, no one made a sound, including the board of directors and the Chairman.
I could already guess the reason why none of them weren't able to move. They must have been in the same state as me.
On top of that, the witnesses that we blackmailed in the previous case revealed that they made false statements back then.
The evidence was so clear that the Retrial, which was supposed to take a few months, came to a conclusion in just a few hours.

In the end, the Court ordered the Quadnite Conglomerate to pay back the money or assets that was worth 1.65 Trillion Rupees (22.4 Billion Dollars) that 'Nav-Yuga' Enterprise had to pay 5 years ago with interest along with an additional 10 Billion Dollars (747 Billion Rupees) for orchestrating a conspiracy against the 'Nav-Yuga' Enterprise.
From the moment I had eye contact with Jay, I had become a puppet where none of my actions wasn't in my control.
From what I observed throughout the Retrial, everyone representing the Quadnite Conglomerate was in the same situation as me.
After that, the board of Directors and the Chairman, who didn't have control over their actions, made an announcement in the media outlets that they were the ones who planned the conspiracy against the 'Nav-Yuga' Enterprise.
That didn't stop there as they also initiated the transfer of stocks and most of the Quadnite Conglomerate's properties to the 'Nav-Yuga' Enterprise within a few hours after the Court's order.
It didn't take long before the announcement became a nation-wide news sensation.
By night 9'0 clock, all the paperwork needed for the complete transfer was completed, and then, for some reason, my mind blanked out as if I was knocked out.
.....
(A short note from Author: There is a GRAPHIC SCENE ahead in this chapter, that contains gore and blood (from torture). Proceed with your own volition.)
.....
10:30 P.M, Deep Underground Secret Base (2500 meters beneath ground level).
.....
When I woke from my unconscious state, I was relieved to find that I regained control over my body, but that didn't last long as I realised that I was alone in a completely sealed white room.
Pushing aside my thoughts on today's inconceivable events, I got a hold of myself and began to inspect the room in search of any weak points that would let me escape such as any air vents and the origin of the light source within the sealed chamber.
Halfway through my search, I heard a bland voice in my mind, "Don't bother, I didn't intend to lock you up in the first place.."
As I heard the voice, a side of the white room separated into two identical parts, just like elevator doors.
The wall that just opened seemed to be a common wall for an adjacent room that looked identical to the one I was in.

The only exception was that the white floor of the adjacent room was covered in blood and pieces of body parts.
Then, I looked at the irregular body hanging from the hooks at the centre of the ceiling, and even I, who had seen a lot of bloodshed, felt nauseous at the bloody sight in front of me.
I could barely tell that the body was that of a man, but with his appearance, he could hardly be recognised since his hands and legs were cut off along with his ears, nose and tongue before being mutilated into pieces that were spread around on the floor.
But that wasn't the end of it as he had no skin on his body, and even his inner muscles were punctured with holes, and his eyes were gouged out.
But the most unbelievable part was that the tortured man was still alive even in such a state.
Then, I turned my attention to the person who stood facing the horribly tortured man with butcher knives in his hands.
He then turned around and looked at me, and even though his face was drenched in blood, I could right away recognise that the person was the eldest of the triplets, Jay.
Once again, my body froze, but unlike the last time, my body didn't lose control and instead froze from fear.
He then snapped his fingers, and to my awe, a small quantity of water magically appeared and cleaned off the blood and grime over him.
While turning his head back towards the tortured man in front of him, Jay said in a calm tone of sarcasm, "Why don't you greet the Great Chairman of the Quadnite Conglomerate?"
My eyes widened in shock as I unconsciously took a step back on learning that the barely alive mutilated body was the Chairman himself and several thoughts spiralled in my mind.
The thoughts I felt were not pity or empathy for the Chairman. Coming to that matter, I know that he would eventually end up in such a position for all the families and lives he had messed up in his life.
If not for the expensive medications for my son's cancer treatment, I wouldn't have worked for him in the first place.
But I couldn't deny the fact that I had assisted the chairman and the directors in their crimes.
Looking at the man who possessed unfathomable powers, I realised that I couldn't escape this unknown place no matter how much I tried.
I resigned myself to fate, and with a sigh, I kneeled as I pleaded, "I know I have a share of Quadnite Conglomerate's sins and for that, I was willing to be tortured or even killed but please leave my son and wife out of it, they don't even know about the dark things that I have done."
Then, Jay waved his hand, and I was pulled up by an invisible force back into a standing position.
Then the reply Jay gave then made me realise why he tortured the Chairman to such an extent, "Unlike your sincere words and thoughts, the Chairman's plea to let him live was contrary to his thoughts of wanting to brutally kill my parents and siblings in front of me in the case he manages to escape."
After that, Jay clapped his hands twice, and a cylindrical container with light green liquid rose from the hole that opened up at the centre of the floor.
The hook connected to the mutilated Chairman's spine moved and submerged him in the container, and a robotic voice resounded in the room.
"Critical tissue damage and organ failure detected, Recovery Capsule enters hibernation mode to preserve any loss of life force."
Then, Jay threw away the butcher knives and asked me to follow him as he walked outside the door-shaped entrance which formed when he placed his hand on the wall.
I took one last look at the mutilated Chairman and shook my head at his fate which was worse than death as he couldn't live or die even if he wanted to.
