The Copy Mage Chapter 145

It took Damian a whole hour to gather his thoughts and match them to everything that he had been enlightened to in the introduction of the incredible harmonising technique.
It was the Golden Flame Harmonising Technique and would help him to break through the Mortal Cultivation Level, but could also be used to increase his power by harmonising his Golden Flame and his Golden Flame Tempered Body.
When in harmony, both of the two would support and enhance each other, all while saving energy as he didn't have to use as much energy to use the two of them separately. Once they are perfectly harmonised, they almost fuse and the power of the individual could even multiply as the power of both the Golden Flame and the Golden Flame Tempered Body would fuse.
However, the form couldn't be sustained for long as the body wouldn't be able to handle that much power and would suffer physical, mental and spiritual backlash. It would also require immense concentration and before Damian could even think about using that, he had many requirements that he needed to meet.
Damian also read that one could break past the Mortal Cultivation Level despite only cultivating on type of cultivation, but it would be through unnatural means and one would need to rely on medicine to be able to do so.
If an Internal Cultivator tried to break through the Mortal Cultivation Level, their body would be unstable and unable to handle the power, but an External Cultivator was more likely to be able to do so and would still be stable after breaking through.
However, the Mortal Cultivation Level was merely a foundation building level and one was yet to truly become a cultivator. It was important to lay a strong foundation and cultivate the body both internally and externally before that point so that one would have a very durable and capable body.

Most would only cultivate internally after breaking past the Mortal Cultivation Level as it didn't require arduous physical training and also had more useful benefits for cultivators.
Those that specialised in External Cultivation and wanted to only cultivate Externally to be a Fighter, would need a Mortal Breakthrough Pill to break through the Mortal Cultivation Level without harmonising both cultivation types.
The pill could also be used by Internal Cultivators that hadn't cultivated externally, but it wasn't recommended for them to do so as it may damage their body. The breakthrough pill had a large amount of energy and would spread that energy around the body of the user upon consuming it, and would help the consumer's body to surpass its limits and break through the Mortal Cultivation Level.
But their cultivation was most likely going to be weak and unstable when compared to those that broke through, through natural, ordinary means that needed talent and hard work.
It also stated in the information that Damian was reading from the Golden Flame Inheritance that there were those incredible individuals with heavenly bodies that didn't need a breakthrough pill and were suited only to External Cultivation.
There were also those that were only suited to Internal Cultivation and heavenly constitutions that granted them different capabilities and abilities that were rare and incredible.
Both were almost completely unable to do the other type of cultivation and were very rare, while most were more suitable to one type of cultivation, but still had to do the other in order to balance out their bodies and breakthrough the Mortal Cultivation Level.
Meanwhile, there were those that were greatly suited to both types of cultivation and were prodigies that had very balanced foundations. Although they may cultivate at slower rates than others initially, they would be much stronger than those at the same cultivation level as them and were able to cultivate to much higher cultivation levels than others.

After reading about heavenly constitution and bodies, Damian felt as though he had a heavenly constitution that allowed him to copy other people's Soul Spirits and also allowed him to use energy of all types.
However, his External Cultivation speed was relatively similar to that of his Internal Cultivation speed, which when against what he had read about those that had heavenly constitutions.
"Maybe I am a prodigy that also has a heavenly constitution. I can increase my talent with the more Soul Spirits that I permanently copy, but that seems to increase the talent for both Internal and External Cultivation. Maybe I am a new type and am special, but it doesn't really matter what it is called" mumbled Damian to himself.
"As long as I have the potential and capacity to improve, I will do so and even if I don't, I will manage to do so" stated Damian, clearly eager to get back to his training.
He had been enlightened to many more truths of the world and there were still so many things that he wanted to explore and find out about.
The one thing that he would always go back to when he wanted to do something was power. Power overshadowed everything else and was the most important thing.
After Damian sorted out everything within his mind, he was finally ready to rest and sleep after his spar with Milo and it took him a few seconds to fall into a deep sleep.
Waking up, Damian felt energised and with even more things that he wanted to find out, explore and experience, he was rearing to go.
Leaving his room, he went to the canteen and ate the free academy meal, then bought another meal to fill up his stomach. After eating he was ready to return to his training and was planning on cultivating externally.
He knew that he would need a lot of resources and food for external cultivation and just like he had planned, he was going to head to his mother to see if she had some sort of pill or consumable item that would help him out.
Without wasting any time, Damian headed to leave the academy and visit his mother.

Gateway
An archaeologist by the name of Søren Quinn wakes up elsewhere after boarding a plane for Iceland. Now he has to come to terms with a significant loss of recent memory and his apparent death and rebirth, provided he can survive the rigors of the Tutorial on Gateway Station and whatever waits for him after the Tutorial. Updates. When I can... sorry. Author's Note. Gateway is a portal/isekai style GameLit novel, but it has two main lead characters and will eventually have a small cast of minor lead characters to support them. There will be small elements of base building / kingdom management added as well over time, but they will not be the focus. Gateway really is a slow burn that takes some time to get going unfortunately, but I hope you find it's worth the wait. Thank you! p.s. Book One is finally done (only needed one more chapter unfortunately...) but I'm off hiatus now and will be starting on Book Two right away!
